The College of Fashion & Design, conducted Sustainable Fashion Competition On 14th of November 2019 at CFD Campus, Dubai . ASSEMBLY ON ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE Morning assembly is the most serene feature of the school where students learn the value of collective prayer and are exposed to the need to inculcate moral and ethical values. Also, morning assemblies are apt platforms to intro- duce and inform students regarding new concepts .With this objective in mind, Grade 10 A boys conducted morning assembly on 9th of November based on ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE. AI is the theory and development of computer systems able to perform tasks normally requiring human intelligence, such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision-making, and translation between languages. Students vividly demonstrated the use of Artificial intelligence in everyday life by showcasing several practical usages. Finally ,words of wisdom on cooperation and competition were shared by the class teacher,,Ms. GangaLekshmi which motivated the students to practice these life altering virtues. DUNES INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL-A NO ANGER ZONE Besides scholastic and non scholastic learnings, Dunes International always lays stress on inculcating life skills. With this objective in mind, Dunes International School was declared a NO ANGER ZONE in order to keep all the negativity out of the school premises. Anger is one of the greatest of mankind’s vices and hinders growth and development of an individual. The entire Dunes premises will operate as a NON ANGRY ZONE to ensure that only positivity abounds in Dunes.
TAJNEED-THE LEADERSHIP PROGRAMME In continuation of its Tajneed…..the compulsory National service program, Dunes interna- tional School organized a throw ball match between the bus monitors and Grade 9 students It was a friendly match enjoyed and appreciated by all as it aimed to empower all sections of the society. ADOPT A BOOKSHELF PROGRAMME Books are a rich source of information. Reading books on varied subjects imparts in- formation and increases the depth about the subject as well. Whenever you read a book, you learn a new information that otherwise would not have known. Therefore it is important to keep our books in proper condition, duly arranged and in correct order Grade 11 students took up this noble activity of adopting a book shelf each to pre- serve these treasure houses of knowledge. This activity succeeded in instilling amongst the students the importance of preserving our books .
CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATIONS-13.11.2019 Children's Day is celebrated on November 14, the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru. The celebration of Children's Day or Bal Diwas dates back to 1956 and is a day to increase awareness about the rights and education of the children. Dunes International school celebrated this beautiful day with much aplomb. Students of grade 9-12 arrived dressed in their best attires all set to enjoy the day to the fullest. They indulged in number of interactive activities, played games, sang and danced their hearts out .Also, all the classes had their own mini class party wherein they shared their favorite foods and snacks with each other.

SUBJECT CORNER SUBJECT-ENGLISH DEBATE ‘Of all the arts in which the wise excel, Nature’s chief masterpiece is writing well”. Debate is an important aspect of learning as well as practicing active language skills. To hone their oratorical skills, a debate was conducted for grade 11 stu- dents in which they put their argumentative skills to good use. The topic was dis- cussed and analyzed in detail. SUBJECT CORNER BIOLOGY Experimental learning Students of grade 12 prepared and analyzed the growth of pollen tube from a pollen grain. They learnt the im- portance of pollen germination for the process of fertilization. They reason out, pollen viabil- ity can vary from flower to flower. Students analyzed the role of sugar solution in pollen germination. CHEMISTRY A major part of Chemistry curriculum in any grade com- prises of chemical equations which are more often than not difficult to learn and even trickier to recall. Grade 10 girls found an easy solution for this when they made foldable of all chemical equa- tions to do quick revisions everyday. MATHEMATICS Learning by doing and through various mathematical tools and equipment ensure that students learn difficult and complex ideas quickly and accurately. Grade 9 students verified that two parallelo- grams and triangles on the same base and between the same parallels are equal in ar- ea.
