Literary Fest Street Play

Literary Fest Street theatre is an effective tool of edutainment because it has effective components like relevance of topic, content of script, active participation of audience, strength of dialogues and physical movement which makes the play understandable through educating and entertaining audiences. .Students of grade 9 t o12 performed street play on the importance of Hindi language.

Literary Fest French Personification Vous savez qui je suis? The students of Grade 9 to 12 participated and enacted like a person or a thing to be identified by the audience of the competition. It was a representation of persons and objects in narrative and dramatic way. This was a great opportunity given to the students to know about the different people of France along with their attributes which was very efficiently accomplished. Newsletter Title Page 4

Literary Fest Literary fest Newsletter making competition An Inter house newsletter making competition was conducted during the week. Students came up with short and interesting articles. Each newsletter was visually pleasing and reflected uniqueness in its own way. Page 5

Students of Dunes international national school enthusiastically participated in the Hindi Day program organized by Abu Dhabi Indian Embassy on 15th September 2019. The purpose of the program was to promote and spread the greatness of Hindi Language.

Subject:Chemistry Grade 9 students experimentally analysed the difference between compounds and mixtures by mixing iron and Sulphur powder and concluded that when two components are subjected to certain changes it loses its property and form a new compound and in mixture the components retain its properties. Students enhanced their experimental and observation skills. Sneak Peak Page 7

Subject: Maths Grade-9 Students of Grade 9 learnt that ‘The angles in the same segment of a circle are equal’ and they have deepened their understanding by verifying the same for the circles of different radii and chord length. Subject: English The primary goal of a debate is to provide an opportunity for students to generate effective critical thinking into primary issues in the given topic. Students were assigned a position to debate with other students. Follow up discussion of the debate critically analyze the performance as well. Page 8

Subject: Social studies Group discussion was conducted by the students of grade 10 on the topic “Negative and positive impact of advertisements on the public mind. \"this enabled students to think critically on the topic and express their views . Students participated enthusiastically and shared their opinions about the impact of advertisements. If you are elected as a member of parliament, what changes would you bring about in the government? Group discussion was conducted by grade 9 in the light of above topic. This enabled students to think critically about the current issues of India and initiated changes on various systems like education, conservation and distribution of water, environmental issues, transport system, economic development etc. over all it helped Pthageem9 to think about the progress of the country and their role. Subject:Psychology *ATTENTION PLEASE!!!!* Divided attention could be defined as our brain's ability to attend to two different stimuli at the same time, and re- spond to the multiple demands of your surroundings. This cognitive skills is very important, as it allows us to be more efficient in our day-to-day lives. *PsSycuhoblojgey*csttu:dEenntsgofliGsrahde XI found out whether an individual’s attention indeed gets divided when faced with multiple tasks (mental/muscular) and results in loss of efficiency and learned more about this Intriguing concept.. So dear readers, if your attention is divided by added distractions, then it’s time to multiply your mental traction by doing a bit of subtraction!!! Subject: Robotics Building our own robot has been a topic in our school for a long time now. The kids are absolutely fascinated with robotics. Students involved in assembling and programming of XY plotter and MBOT Ranger in Robotics lab, which helped the students to get hands-on lessons that support them to achieve both curriculum goals and boost 21st century skills like creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving in a collaborative Sneak Peak Peangevi1r1onment.

Subject: Entrepreneurship Students explained the concept of primary and secondary market. They explained the different methods of flotation and its relevance to raise funds from the primary market. They identified the convenience methods for issuing shares in different situations. Subject: Business studies Today electronic business (e-business) plays a key role in the way companies do business, and in shaping the global economy. Commerce students of grade 11 discuss and understand the scope and importance of e- business in the in the modern world. Page 12

Subject: Accountancy Students of grade11 analysed the transaction and recorded the purchase of asset and depreciation for four years. They identified the period of time to ascertain the depreciation for each year. Grade12 students prepare an extract of balance sheet from the situation given. They could identify and record the arrears caused due to the non payment of call money on the shares issued in the notes to account. Page 13 Sneak Peak

Subject: Biology Students did an experiment on extraction of DNA . Students separated and studied the nature of DNA in a cell. They explored the biochemical nature and packaging of DNA inside the cell. They analysed the need for various enzymes to unwrap DNA from its cellular constituents. Page 14
