Podere PalazzoPodere Palazzo is nestled among the forested hills of Carpineta between the city ofCesena and the famous Rubicon Valley. In 49 BC, the Great Roman Civil Warbegan when Julius Caesar crossed the Rubicon River hailing, “Alea iacta est” or“The die is cast.” Conquering this territory was one of the last political conflictsbefore the establishment of the Roman Empire.Steeped in rich tradition, the heart of our winery and its ten hectares of vineyardsstretch from the Adriatic Sea to the castles of Sorrivoli and Monteleone. These exclusive wines come from hand harvested grapes where only the finestgrapes are selected. According to their old traditions, the wine ages in oak barrels, which provides each bottle with a delicate touch, soft and austere. This is the secretof the rich flavours and taste of these wines. These wines perfectly represent theregion and the quality of the family estate. The simple philosophy of Podere Palazzo is to produce excellent wine in anenvironmentally sustainable manner. While these fine wines are the result ofexperience rooted in family traditions, they are dedicated to using creativity andcontinued research in making their wines unforgettable. Pored Palazzo wines aremade with passion and respect for their beautiful region and their family whoworked this land before them.Resting on the Romagna hills, 250 metres above sea level, the heart of PoderePalazzo lies on a wooded mound and overlooks 10 hectares of vineyards, a greatplace to enjoy a spectacular view stretching from the Adriatic Sea to the nearbyCastles of Sorrivoli and Monteleone. Silence and large spaces are the distinctivefeatures of this wonderful Estate located in one of the most suggestive andevocative landscapes of Italy. These clayey and fresh hills - located at a height that best suits the cultivation ofSangiovese di Romagna - also provide the perfect habitat for Trebbiano, Albanaand Bombino Bianco, Merlot and Lambrusco. These are exclusive wines made from hand-picked grapes that are cultivated usingenvironmentally-friendly methods typical of organic productions, such as the greenmanure, which allows to reduce fertilisations, traps containing sex pheromone tolimit insecticide use; weed and grass mowing among vine rows to avoid chemicaltreatments. Grapes’ growing in the vineyard and then in cellars through a carefulageing in wood allows each bottle to develop a delicate, smooth and austere.flavour livened up by luscious spicy aromas. The result is surprising: a pleasurablewine with long-lasting quality.
