Annual Report 2019-2020

Our work This page would usually include photographs of our workers out in the https://www.youtube.com/channel/ community but this year we'd like to highlight some of the great work UCyRxOaq25BWUxZGGu_GQxQQ/ our staff have been doing online. Much of our face-to-face work has https://www.facebook.com/ramh.org been made impossible due to the pandemic so, since going into https://twitter.com/ramh_scotland lockdown in March, we have been adapting our services so that they Our brand new interactive service presentation: can be delivered online: this has seemed like a digital revolution for https://prezi.com/view/seP6EHzuyCb0ID6yVnri/ RAMH. Adapting to a new way of working hasn’t been easy, and it’s something 5 that couldn’t have been made possible without the dedication of our amazing staff and volunteers. Some have been redeployed to other areas of the charity; others are doing their job from home while the rest have continued to come in everyday doing the hard work they always do. We’ve made mistakes along the way but we now feel like we’ve reached a 'new normal’ in how we’re operating. We’ve increased our counselling resources to respond to an increase in demand with these sessions now being delivered by phone or video calls. Our groups are now meeting over Zoom and there have been new groups set up as a reaction to the crisis. We’ve assisted with the national wellbeing helpline, and set up our own 'Hear For You’ to help those struggling during the pandemic in Renfrewshire. Our crisis line, FIRST, is still fully operational and our work on social media is engaging our service users and the wider public. Ironically, even though our staff haven’t been seeing each other in person, we’ve been working closely together more than ever. We want to take the positives out of this difficult time we’re all going through, and one of these is a sense of people pulling together to help each other through the crisis. We’ve therefore incorporated ‘Kindness’ into all areas of our work over the last few months and you’ll see evidence of this by visiting our social media pages. Please take some time to follow the links to the right and take a look for yourself at some of the great work we've been doing. ramh.org
