colour, a visual identity for everyone Color plays a key role in a brand's visual identity. The goal? Create a mood, attract attention and even in some cases arouse emotions. It is therefore important that you do the right thing by understanding the different interpretations. Whether it's designing something for yourself or for a client, your choice of shades for logos, campaigns, websites or advertisements will significantly determine how the brand will be viewed by audiences. ECO-EFFICIENCY WITH FRANCISCO SAIZ Paloma and her husband José, the owners of this house did not want just any. Their attention was drawn to the housing projects of the Modulab system. Francisco Saiz, architect and creator of the company, explains that this house is modular, and it is therefore a prefabricated construction in the factory, made of modules that can be brought to the field by truck. But it is also sustainable and eco-efficient, based on a bioclimatic design that adapts to the environment in which it is located, and favors the use of efficient energy systems where renewable energies and bioconstruction are essential. For its construction, recycled and recyclable materials with low impact are of course used. The decoration itself with a colorful design is a wish of the owners, lovers of plants and personalized interiors. Floraison Magazine 03
The British painter, composer and satirist Edward Lear described the stunning beauty of the bay in a 1862 letter. After the bustle of the city of Corfu, Lear wrote, every hour in the bay rejuvenates me a year. It's just a pity the peace here will not last forever, \"cursed picnic groups with miserable donkeys arrive tomorrow, and the silence will disappear - as I will.\" We envied the irritated Lear. IN THE WILDERNESS In 2019, this small country of 12 million inhabitants attracted 1.7 million tourists, according to figures from the government body Rwanda Development Board . The second safest nation in Africa, it has one of the fastest growing economies on the continent, with more than 8%. Little affected by Covid-19 compared to its African neighbors, Rwanda hopes to welcome tourists in the fall, the ideal period for a trip to its territory. On the last Saturday of each month, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., all Rwandans must participate in a task to serve the community or help someone in difficult circumstances. Floraison Magazine The Principality of Monaco Announces Sustainability Update and New Initiatives to Reach 2050 Carbon Neutral Goal Organized virtually by the United Kingdom, France and the United Nations General Secretariat, but also supported by Chile and Italy, this Summit enabled more than seventy Heads of State and Government to express their national commitments in the fight against climate change. It is in this context and in front of the international community that Prince Albert II unveiled his objectives for the years to come. Objective: Carbon neutral principality In addition to his plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions within ten years, the Prince expressed another ambition: to make Monaco a carbon neutral country by 2050. There is also a assurance of solidarity towards developing countries: \"I have decided that the climate funding allocated by my country should increase steadily over the coming years\" declared the Sovereign. In addition to the actions carried out in Monaco, such as the establishment of the “Mediterranean Sustainable Buildings (BD2M)” label in 2018, there is no doubt that changes are to be expected. 09

UNPARALLELED LINES A model of inspiration down to the smallest detail. Japanese design has been prevalent in many countries for hundreds of years. Lines are the key words that qualify and understand the way these interiors are designed. Indeed organized according to a perfect and quasi-intuitive geometry, the different spaces differ from each other almost by nature, very simply. And secondly, it is clear that Japanese architects are not the type to erect walls, to separate elements that naturally must be associated. Thus we find a general organization articulated around a very large main room . Sometimes even the entire home is just one room, here and there with the necessary elements for the privacy of its inhabitants when the time comes. 鯛も⼀⼈はうまからず “Even a sea bream loses its 11 flavor when eaten alone.” - Japense proverb Studio Piet Boon Floraison Magazine

Photos: Kreoo If there is one issue that makes the eyes of aviation industry workers shine and cry, with joy or anger, it is electric planes. This is a rather hot topic and the discussion around it is heated, even passionate - with the understanding that what a few years ago seemed clearly inapplicable, already exists before our eyes. In December 2019, the first commercial flight was made by electric plane, from Vancouver to the Nordic Peninsula - indicating that this is already more than just a gimmick. In the months since then, many industry insiders have been working to create the standards by which aircraft fleets will become electric, with a big question mark hovering over the design of the right way to integrate electric aircraft into existing industry and make them the reality of the future. Nordic multinational mobilization \"It's very important to work and do it together - none of us can solve it on our own. We have to work together.\" Says Maria Fiskruid, who leads the Nordic Network for Electric Aviation ( NEA ) and the 2045 Fossiless Aviation Initiative along with IAI officials. \"In the Nordic region we have created a collaboration between airports, airlines and power tool manufacturers in order to identify the needs and priorities needed to create the infrastructure for electric aviation.\" The ambitious projects are funded by the Nordic Entrepreneurship Foundation, which operates under international cooperation in northern Europe and has identified this area as a strategic destination for northern countries. Fiscroyd's belief is that by 2030 a third of Sweden's domestic aviation will become a tram, with the potential to turn every second domestic flight into a tram. \"I hope that by 2040 all domestic flights will be electric, both in Sweden and in the other Nordic countries.\" The major airlines, Airbus and Boeing, are already starting to talk about hybrid aircraft for long-haul flights by 2030. Similar things are being heard today from Rolls-Royce and other engine companies. Floraison Magazine 24
Photo: Designing Buildings Wiki OSAKA, JAPAN An interchange that passes inside an office building - that is the charm of the gate tower in Osaka Japan. Where areas are limited and overcrowded, they have found a very creative solution to improve traffic infrastructure. The property rights to the property belonged to a business that specialized in the wood and coal industry but the move to other energy sources led to it being decided in 1983 to redevelop the area. By this time thoughts of developing a highway had already begun, but the property owners refused to give up the structure in favor of the new road. Azusa Yamamoto Skai and Nishihara Kanchiko Jimoshu Skai are the architects of the building. It is 16 stories high and also includes two basement floors designed for storing heavy machinery. The height of the building is about 72 meters. This is an office building that many call the \"hive\" because of its design and the feature that the employees show inside. The pillars that hold the road that passes through the building stand next to it and are designed so that visually they will be similar to the design of the building. The building was built using the double core method, with a section of the Anshin Highway passing between the fifth, sixth and seventh floors. Due to this, the elevators are located on the sides of the building and they do not stop on the floors where the road passes. The elevators do not pass between these floors and there are no buttons that allow stopping on these floors. Also, the structure consists of reinforced concrete and in part contains an iron frame. the sponges of kalymnos If you ask a diver from Kalimanos today if there is a Photo: The Aegean Island placenta of sponges in the Mediterranean, the chance is that the answer will be: \"No\". No sponges and no sponge placenta. The common explanation for their disappearance is a serious illness, which attacked and killed them in 1986. Kalimanus residents link the disease to the Chernobyl nuclear reactor accident. One way or another, when I visited the island, the residents reported to me the almost complete absence of sponges in the Mediterranean. The sponge fields of Libya and Tunis, which for generations had been part of the hunting grounds of the islanders, were increasingly closed to them. The narrow geopolitical reality interrupted and disrupted the traditional six- to eight-month voyage in the Mediterranean and along the coasts of North and West Africa, which each year held the edges of the soils from Kalimanos. Only a small portion of the sponges sold today in the islands and throughout Greece come from the region, and these are considered to be particularly fine and durable. Most of the natural sea sponges are imported from the Florida area and the Bahamas, where they are often marginalized by immigrants and immigrants from Kalimanos. The captains, who headed the socio-economic pyramid in the community of the fringe of the sponges, apparently urged their divers to dig deeper, stay longer and cook more. This external pressure was joined by a perception accepted by most divers, according to which increasing the degree of risk means intensifying the degree of masculinity. The ancient tradition of diving without equipment, at great risk, was for modern divers a powerful mythology, which provided them with a motive to take risks and directed their patterns of behavior. Klimanos is one of the group of Dodecanese islands, which also includes Kos and Rhodes, better known. It is a fairly arid mountain island, of medium size, near the Turkish coast, and in good weather can be reached by an hour and a half cruise from the island of Kos. In its foothills, the port city and the largest settlement on the island, life revolves around the wide, rounded sea tongue that forms the port. The city has no beaches. The beaches of the resort town of Myrtise and the beaches of Linaria and Kandoni can be reached in about 20 minutes by taxi service. why choose rattan? Well the material is handsome and aesthetic, and has even become very popular in Israel. Capitol emphasizes to customers the vulnerability of synthetic rattan furniture against the sun's rays - the material is in fact synthetic fibers, most of which are not resistant to exposure to the scorching sun. In contrast, rattan garden furniture made of natural rattan - wicker, etc., is considered stronger and more durable. Synthetic rattan furniture is recommended to be placed in a shady place or under a pergola that will protect it from the strong sun in our country. Natural rattan is actually a natural wicker and includes within it fibrous trunks of tropical trees that grow in Asia, Africa and Australia. The diameter of the natural material in the garden furniture industry starts from a few millimeters and reaches up to a diameter of 5-7 cm. Natural rattan furniture is considered relatively expensive for synthetic rattan, because it reaches the markets after a lot of finishing work has been done on it, including investment in its design. Other raw materials such as aluminum, iron, fabric, etc. It is considered in the market as an easy material to work with, so some garden furniture products made of rattan will come after the material works in a variety of different forms. sustainability of the cruise liner Long pointed out as a polluting industry, often criticized for the impact on the environment and even banned in certain ports, cruises have been going green for several years now. Part of addressing customer concerns about their carbon footprint was the decision to make real change. Far from being a fad or complacency, cruise lines have also realized the importance of building environmentally friendly ships and preserving the sea, oceans and the planet we all travel on. We can only rejoice to see these more respectful ships set to sea. The investments in these new ships are colossal and demonstrate a real commitment on the part of cruise companies to make cruising less polluting for our planet. One of the most concrete actions in terms of respect for the environment on the part of cruise lines comes from this new fuel: Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG). Much less polluting than fuel oil, this novelty makes it possible to reject no sulfur particles, to reduce fine particles by 95% and CO2 by 20% compared to current ships. Beyond offering a reduction in polluting emissions, it is also a whole logic of respect for the ecosystems and the inhabitants of the regions visited which is put in place. Floraison 43
Compliance with new standards helps reduce pollution for the inhabitants of ports and regions visited by cruise ships. They also have new technologies to clean up the waste and wastewater treatment system . The sound reduction of certain new ships also makes it possible to reduce the nuisance for oceanic flora and fauna. In addition, companies make passengers more aware of respect for sites during excursions with the help of on-board communications, expert guides and conferences. Many companies fight for the protection of the seabed and the most fragile regions by using non-polluting materials for the design and maintenance of ships or by participating in programs for the preservation of flora and fauna: Celebrity and its organization for the safeguard of the Galapagos for example or Ponant which participates in the protection of the polar regions. On land and on board ships, plastic remains the number one enemy. Shipowners like Disney Cruise Line or Hurtigruten are gradually replacing or completely withdrawing single-use plastics to fight against waste that poisons the oceans. Simple actions like recycling, turning off unused lights or unplugging electronic devices once charged are the new tips for cruise passengers. The green revolution of cruise ships seems to be on track. Many new environmentally friendly ships are under construction. The dream of one day seeing completely self-sufficient and pollution-free cruise ships is looming on the horizon. Studio Piet Boon 44 Floraison Magazine
