• Joshua Bell (Our amazing host) Joshua is violinist and conductor who has performed with many of the world's major orchestras and conductors. He is a Turnaround Artist with a school in Washington, DC. His partner is Larissa Martinez.

• Larisa Martínez (Our amazing host) Larisa is an opera singer “highly praised for her warm quality of voice and unique timbre.” A native of Puerto Rico, Larissa is a Turnaround artist with a school in Milwaukee. Her partner is Joshua Bell.

• Heidi Frederick Heidi is Joshua Bell’s assistant. She is also the founder of FaceLove a wellness beauty company.

• Kathy Fletcher Kathy is Momma Kathy and Board Chair of All Our Kids, Inc. (AOK) and the National Director of Turnaround Arts. She has worked in many aspects of social justice and civil rights in the private, non-profit, and government sectors. She lives in DC with her husband David Simpson.

• David Simpson David is the dad-in-Chief and Executive Director of All Our Kids, Inc (AOK). He has a proven track record in start-ups, strategic planning, communications, management and event production. He lives in DC with his wife Kathy.

• David Brooks David (or “Brooks” as he is known by the AOK kids to discern him from David Simpson) is a beloved member of the AOK family. He is also an American political and cultural commentator who writes for The New York Times. He has worked as a film critic for The Washington Times, a reporter and op-ed editor for The Wall Street Journal and a senior editor at The Weekly Standard from its inception; a contributing editor at Newsweek and The Atlantic Monthly; and a commentator on NPR. He is currently a columnist for The New York Times and commentator on PBS NewsHour.

• Damian Woetzel Damien is a retired Principal Dancer of the New York City Ballet, activist, educator and choreographer. He is the director of the Aspen Institute Arts Program, which furthers the value of the arts in society, focusing on education, social justice, economics, and diplomacy. A Turnaround Artist, he has adopted two schools in Lame Deer, MT and Roxbury, MA. Damien also works with Yo-Yo Ma on his Silk Road Connect program in the New York City Public Schools. He is married to Heather Watts.

• Heather Watts Heather is a is a retired Principal Dancer, formerly with the New York City Ballet. She is a ballet director, educator, AIDS activist and writer. Heather has served as a panelist for the National Endowment for the Arts and currently serves on the Artists Committee for the Kennedy Center Honors. She is married to Damien Woetzel.

• Johnny and Angelic Nunez Johnny is a celebrity photographer. He is Venezuelan and Trinidadian but was adopted by a Puerto Rican family and grew up in Brentwood, Long Island. He is a Turnaround Artist working with schools in Milwaukee, WI and Minneapolis, MN. His wife’s name is Angelic. (I’m not sure if this is pronounced as Angelique or Angelic.)

• Alan Breed Alan is President and Portfolio Manager of Edgewood Management LLC. He is a $50,000 donor to AOK. He chairs the investment committees on the boards of both Greenwich Hospital and the University of Richmond. Alan is member of the Republican party and lives in his hometown of Greenwich, CT.

• John and Jodie Arnhold John is chairman of First Eagle Investment Management and director of First Eagle Holdings, Inc. and president and a trustee of First Eagle Funds. John’s father, Henry Arnhold, is a major philanthropist in NYC whose foundation has holdings of over $350 million and focuses on art and dance, education, environment, health, human rights. John is the secretary and treasurer of his father’s trust. Jody is the founder of Dance Education Laboratory (DEL) at 92nd Street Y and is a dance educator and advocate. Jody taught at Columbia University and is a Mentor to the NYC Board of Education. John and Jody have donated $4.365 million to Teachers College, Columbia University to establish a new doctoral program in Dance Education.

• Margo Lion Margo is from Baltimore, Maryland. She is a producer for plays both on Broadway and off-Broadway. She produced the stage and screen hit Hairspray. Lion is an adjunct professor at the Tisch School of the Arts of New York University. She also served as Co-Chair on Obama's Arts Policy Committee and was appointed in 2009 as Co-Chair of the President's Committee on the Humanities and the Arts.

• Boykin Curry Boykin is a partner at Eagle Capital investment firm (Arnhold’s firm). He is a co-founder of Public Prep, a group of charter schools in New York City. He is also a board member of Alliance for School Choice and a co-founder of Democrats for Education Reform. He graduated from Yale University and earned his MBA from Harvard Business School.

• Les and Barbara Buckland Leslie and Barbara ($5000 AOK donors) have a trust called Barbara and Leslie Buckland Charitable Trust. They have given to the Museum of Art and Design and The National Parks Foundation. Leslie (who was born in the UK and then emigrated to Canada) was a photojournalist for Kodak in the 70s, ran marketing for Eastman Kodak and then started his own company. He sold his company and is now retired. He is an avid mountain climber (he climbed Everest at 68) and cyclist. Barbara was a Professor of French and Director of the Finch Intercontinental Study Plan at Finch College in NYC.

Andrea ElliotAndrea is an investigative reporter for The New York Times, currently on leave writing abook about child poverty. Her three-part series, “An Imam in America,” was awarded the2007 Pulitzer Prize for feature writing. Her 2013 series, “Invisible Child,” chronicled thelife of an 11-year-old homeless girl, winning a George Polk award, among other honors,and prompting city officials to remove more than 400 children from substandardhomeless shelters. She was raised in Washington by a Chilean immigrant mother andan American father.

• James Drosin James is the original AOK kid! He just started community college in DC in January and is doing great.

• Maryann Taruc Taruc (Tahrook) is an amazing person and artist who has recently joined the AOK family. She is completing her GED and will attend art school next year.

• Kebron Mihrete (Kesari) Kesari is an amazing jazz singer and she was just accepted at both the Berklee School of Music and the New School of Jazz.

• Koleco Elizaire Koleco a resilient, beautiful and courageous young man who grew up in the foster system and is pursuing his dreams of becoming a sound engineer and DJ.

• Chyna Lewis Chyna is a freshman at Howard whose dream is to be a civil rights lawyer. Her mother ended up in a homeless shelter in the middle of the school year, we scrambled to find a benefactor to keep her in school and now she’s thriving and getting straight A’s.

• Nabil Abdulkadir Nabil is our film and photography guru! He is studying film at the University of Maryland and doing freelance work with a number of DC non-profits.
