For your safety, always use a detailed map and Estimated walk time: 2hrs 30mins (at 4km take the appropriate kit/clothing for the open moors and per hour) weather conditions. Starting near the top of Ivybridge high street, at the historic granite bridge (1), make your way along Station Road up stream of the River Erme and into Longtimber Woods. 1 Heading under the Viaduct, you will soon pass a picnic area. Continue upstream past the remains of the old bridge (2). Follow the di- minishing path into Kingswood, over a stream and on to find the road. Turn right, heading to Harford, and over the granite bridge (3). Follow the steep road to Harford Church (4). Head left around the church and ascend to the car park. On entry to the moor, follow a stone 2 track to your right and make your way to Butter Brook stream crossing (5), beside the trees of the small reservoir (6). Continue south to pick up the stone wall. Keeping the wall on your right, make your way to the next small stream crossing at Addicombe, at the corner of the 8 wall (7).
