The detailed information about the procedure & required document for the TM Registration is as follows: Procedure Initially, the search is conducted in the relevant class of goods and services. If the mark is available for ling application is led mentioning a detailed description of goods and services as per relevant classi cation. After ling an application, it is numbered and dated. Thereafter the le is examined by the Examiner of Trade Marks who examines the application with already existing trademarks and requirements under the law and if no objection on the part of the examiner the same is accepted for publications. After acceptance of the application by the Registrar of Trade Marks, it is published in Trade Marks Journal and local Arabic Newspapers. There is 30 days period for any interested party to le Opposition against the published Trade Marks. In absence of any opposition, the published trademark will proceed to registration and the certi cate of registration will be issued. Registration Validity The Registration of Trade Marks is valid for 10 years from the date of ling and further renewable for other consecutive periods, each of which is 10 years.
