Introduction About this book: This book contains a collection of pre-primer sight word cut and worksheets intended for use with children in Preschool, Kindergarten (Prep) and Grade 1. Directions for use: The worksheets in this packet are designed for use in a stamping center. However, you could laminate the pages and use them in a playdough center with playdough alphabet stamps. Each page focuses on a sight words and asks children to read the word, write it (if using laminated pages, children can use dry erase crayons or markers for this section), stamp it and then colour it (once again, children can use dry-erase crayons or markers for this section if it is to be laminated). Introduction About this book: This book contains a collection of pre-primer sight word cut and worksheets intended for use with children in Preschool, Kindergarten (Prep) and Grade 1. The exercises are extremely teacher and student friendly and each worksheet has been designed with larger than normal print to aid young learners, along with simple pictures to assist English language learners. Directions for use: The worksheets in this packet are very basic and concentrate solely on a focus word . The aim is to familiarise the student with the new sight word and to reinforce correct letter sequencing to form the word. Tasks include writing the focus sight word on writing lines and whole-word shape boxes, identifying the focus words among other words of varied fonts and then cutting and pasting letter tiles in correct order to make the focus word. The worksheets in this book can be used while working with the entire class, in small groups, or one-on-one with individual children. Next, they practice writing the sight word 3 times in 3 different sentences. They can then read their sentences. The handwriting sheets in this book can be used while working with the entire class or in small groups. They would make great homework sheets and would also be ideal for morning work or early finisher work or however you see fit! I have included a cover page if you wish to bind them together in a booklet for each child.
