The importance of a professional concept ...........................................................................................................................................................• My work is based on close, solution-oriented cooperation with our customers. It’s a key success factor for me to always maintain the focus on the result in a project. I find this particularly important because a significant portion of IT implementation projects - some say more than half fail. Failure in this case means that the developed IT solution is unable to fulfill it’s role for witch it was meant: the process is not efficient, it’s not faster, the promised reports are not being done and there are false data in the system. HOW CAN THIS HAPPEN? The answer is actually quite simple: we have a dream we cannot carry out. WHY? Because we live with assumptions that are simply not true. My favorite example to illustrate this idea is the picture with a family house prototype. Both as a father and an entrepreneur I would like to ask you the following question: how do you describe a perfect family house? Surely, we all agree on concepts like it’s carefully planned, it’s safe and last but not least, it satisfies the needs of each family member. Even if we possess such a great house, it’s useless if the interior of the house doesn’t have a good functionality, if we, the residents are not “active users” of our own space within the building. This conclusion is true for the ERP systems as well therefore my advice is quite simple: we need such professional concept that has produced well working innovative solutions, and can be adjusted to specific company needs. It’s a key success factor for me to always maintain the focus on the result in a project.
