Description: China’s economy has grown rapidly over the past few decades, and along with this growth has come increased industrialization and urbanization. However, this progress has also led to environmental challenges such as water scarcity, water pollution, and climate change. In response to these issues, China has formulated a Circular Economy Strategy to promote sustainable development. A key aspect of this strategy is the implementation of Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) systems. ZLD systems pre-treat industrial wastewater, evaporate it in a brine concentrator and then collect the condensed water for reuse. The waste solids are either sent to a landfill or used as valuable salt by-products.
