WELCOME TO 2022 CAMP KADIMA Welcome to our Summer of Stars! Join us as we celebrate Camp Kadima’s 40th Anniversary. Your campers are all STARS, who will shine through their skills, talents, leadership and growth every day of camp. Flagpole and dress-up days will be inspired by the top-trending entertainment networks. Each week campers will explore different well-known stars in fields such as cooking, science, music, sports, art, tech and history. Our 40th Anniversary will be a blockbuster summer! Voted best summer camp in Broward County by Broward Family Life magazine three years in a row. For 39 summers, the professional staff at our award-winning Camp Kadima has provided a supervised and safe environment, allowing every camper to be enriched through our age-appropriate programming, regardless of faith and race. Campers start every morning enjoying music, singing, cheering and dancing. Campers and counselors are split into two teams - #TeamMike and #TeamDale. Teams compete in daily challenges throughout the summer with one team being crowned flagpole champion. Mike and Dale bring energy and create a unique experience for every camper making our flagpole one of a kind. Flagpole helps get the campers and counselors in the camp spirit and is a centerpiece of Camp Kadima culture.

CAMP OPTIONS JSprouts For Children Ages 2 Years–4 Years • In JSprouts we swim, go to the splash pad, paint, craft, cook, experiment, play outside, do yoga, sing, dance and have Friday Shabbat. • Special events include in-house entertainment, petting zoos, magic shows, puppet shows and more! All campers in the following kindergarten camps enjoy in-house entertainment, Color War (Maccabiah), Songfest (Zimriah), special events, water days, game shows & a camp-wide mitzvah project. JKids For Children Entering K Our program provides an exciting transition from preschool to kindergarten. JKids is housed on the main side of the Posnack JCC, supervised by the preschool adminstration. NEW! FOR 2022 - A PREMIER CAMP Kindergarten Boot Camp For Children Entering K This camp is professionally designed to give your Pre-K graduate the necessary academic tools to succeed in kindergarten. Boot Camp will focus on emergent reading, math and handwriting skills. Typical Camp Kadima activities such as swimming, sports and arts are part of the camp day. SPORTS CAMPS Sports Academy, Jr. NEW! FOR 2022 Grades K-1 • Junior athletes learn the fundamentals of sports including soccer, swimming, kickball, wiffle ball, basketball, pickleball, gaga, newcomb, t-ball. • Sports Academy Jr. join their grade level for all special events & entertainment. • Grade 1 will join Adventure Camp Grade 1 for field trips as well. JSports Grades 2-6 • Young athletes will learn a variety of sports including basketball, soccer, baseball, tennis, flag football and volleyball. • Daily activities focus on sport-specific fundamentals. • Field trips and special events. JHoops* Grades 3-5, Grades 6-9 • Young athletes will learn the fundamentals of playing basketball. • Daily activities include drills to learn passing, dribbling and shooting. • Weekly basketball games *MINIMUM OF 15 CAMPERS REQUIRED

ADVENTURE CAMP Grades 1-5 • Adventure camp is the classic camp experience where children particpate in a variety of activities including sports, swimming, and the arts. • Campers are grouped according to the grade they will enter in the fall; however, grades may be combined. • All campers enjoy weekly field trips, in-house entertainment, Color War (Maccabiah), Songfest (Zimriah), special projects, water days, game shows and camp-wide mitzvah project. PREMIER CAMPS JGirls Grades 1-2, Grades 3-5 • Our campers receive a well-rounded camp experience that focuses on dancing, arts, field trips, in-house entertainment and special events. • The highlight of the camp is our annual mock-mitzvah. JTech Grades 2-6 • Jtech introduces campers to the amazing world of game development through coding. • Campers will learn how to build their very own video games. • Campers gain problem solving, critical thinking, and STEM skills in a fun and inspiring way. Inside Out Theatre @ the J Grades 3-8 Session l 4 wks (6/13-7/8) Grades 3-8 \"Frozen Jr.\" Session ll 2 wks (7/25-8/5) Grades 2-7 \"101 Dalmations Kids\" An exciting and fun musical theater experience directed by Robin Braun and Inside Out Theatre. • Campers will learn acting, voice and dance while gaining confidence in a creative and supportive atmosphere. • Campers must be enrolled for the consecutive 4-week session for Session l or 2-week session for Session II. 2 week price is half of 4 week price listed on page 7. TEEN CAMPS Extreme Grades 6-8 • Campers are grouped according to the grade they will enter in the fall; however, grades may be combined. • All campers enjoy field trips, in-house entertainment, Color War (Maccabiah), Songfest (Zimriah), special events, water days, game shows and a camp-wide mitzvah project. Leaders-in-Training (LIT) Grade 9 • LIT is the first level in the transition from camper to counselor. • These teens work side-by-side with camp staff and specialists, training to be future leaders. • Training includes a mandatory training session in junior first aid, CPR and junior water safety. • All campers enjoy field trips, in-house entertainment, Color War (Maccabiah), Songfest (Zimriah), special events, water days, game shows and a camp-wide mitzvah project. Posnack Foundation Ben & Dorothy Spencer Special Services Division Ages 3-22+ CAMP GIBORIM • Giborim, which means heroes in Hebrew, is a program designed for children, teens and adults with developmental disabilities. • Campers participate in all activities, special events and field trips. • New campers must have an intake interview. The DPJCC cannot provide one-on-one supervision. Continuous aggressive behaviors may result in dismissal of the camper from the program. • Inclusion: A limited number of campers are included in the general camp. An intake with the Camp Director is required to determine the ability to meet the child’s needs. • Campers ages 3, 4 and 5 do not go on field trips and require an 8-week commitment. Camp Kadima Health & Safety Guidelines For updated information dpjcc.org/campkadima • We consult with the Florida Department of Health guidelines regarding Covid-19. • As of Dec '21, masks are required for all staff & children 3+; 2022 mask policy will be determined by 5/2/22. • Drop-off and pick-up of your children will be by carpool only. • Campers must bring their own water bottle. Filling stations are available for refills.
