He had basic training in Fort Jackson, S.C. \"The first week it was hard to get up at 4:30 am and in bed by nine with every- thing in order and clean,\" said Brandon. The next four weeks he had a lot of classes; drill, ceremony and a visit to the NBC (gas cham- ber). In BRM, Basic Rifle Marks- manship, he qualified as a high shooter and rode a \"UH-UI, HE- VEY\" back to the barracks. He then learned combat skills and qualified expert on the Granade course. Next summer Brandon goes to Fort Gordon for Advanced Individual Training and then to flight school for the AH-1 Cobra helicopter, which will take him 10 months to complete. GOOD LUCK, BRANDON! 60
