Jazz ... Jazz Band brought us many amazing concerts throughout the year. The theme JAZZ BAND \"Got Music?\" represented their desire to perform as their best. They participated in regular concerts every quarter. \"The band tour and jazz festival are my favor- ite events,\" said Se- nior Tim Manwill. In the past years they fel t like the music depart- ment often took \"a back seat\" to the ath- letic department, but this year they felt that the bands have had more recongnition. music Maker... Our Hillcrest Orchestra played a wide variety of tunes this year. Depending on the season you could hea r a Christmas favorite or a Broadway tune. At the beginning of the yea r, you might have heard the music of The Wiz. The school play took a lot of time and talent not every- one in orchestra gets to partici- pate, you have to try out. This is the first year we had the opportunity to hear the music of Mr. Denison. \"He's not as laid- back as Amy Rashkin was last year, but he motiva tes us to play our best,\" commented Senior Tim Ma nwill.
