भीमा रामू धोबी का गधा है। उसक परेशानी यह है क उसक न द नह खलु ती। इस लए उसे डाटँ सुननी पड़ती है। 2/8

एक दन पड़ोस क गाय गौरी ने पछू ा, “भीमा तू उदास य ह?ै ” भीमा बोला, “मरे ी न द नह खलु ती। तू मुझे जगा देगी?” “ठ क है।” गौरी बोली। सरे दन गौरी “मा.ँ ..मा.ँ ..” रंभाती रही पर भीमा नह जागा। 3/8

शाम को भीमा घाट से लौटा। मोती कु ा वहाँ आया। “मोती, मरे ी न द नह खुलती। तू मझु े जगा देगा?” “हा.ँ .. हाँ...” मोती बोला। अगले दन मोती “भ ... भ ...” भ कता रहा पर भीमा क न द नह खलु ी। 4/8

उस शाम, भीमा चीनू मगु से मला। \"चीन,ू तु हारी आवाज़ से तो सभी हर सबु ह जाग जाते ह। क् या तुम मुझे भी जगा दोगे?\" “ठ क ह,ै ” चीनू बोला। अगली सबु ह \"कु कड-कू , कु कड-कू \" कर चीनू ज़ोर से बांग लगाता रहा। मगर भीमा पर कोई असर ना आ। 5/8

शाम को भीमा ने कालू कौए को काँव-कावँ करते देखा। “भैया कौए, तुम मझु े सबु ह जगा दोगे?” “हाँ... हाँ... ज र।” कालू बोला। अगले दन कालू “कावँ ... काँव” करता रहा पर भीमा नह जागा। 6/8

अब तो भीमा नराश हो गया। अगले दन सुबह-सुबह एक म खी उसक नाक म जा बठै । “आ..आ..आक छ !” ऐसा होते ही भीमा क न द खुल गयी। 7/8

“अरे, म कै से जाग गया!” “मने जगाया।” उसके सर पर बैठ म खी बोली। “सच! मझु े रोज़ जगा दोगी?” “ठ क ह।ै ” अब भीमा खशु था। यह तरक़ ब काम आई! 8/8
