Whatever\t were\t the\t elements\t of\t that\t flower\t while\t it\t lived\t are\t gone,\t dispersed, you\tknow\tnot\twhither;\tyou\tcan\tnever\tdiscover\tnor\trecollect\tthem.\tBut\tyou\tcan,","by\tchemistry,\tout\tof\tthe\tburnt\tdust\tof\tthat\tflower,\traise\ta\tspectrum\tof\tthe\tflower, it\t is\t incumbent\t on\t philosophy\t to\t deny,\t viz.,\t nothing\t supernatural.\t They\t are but\t ideas\t conveyed\t somehow\t or\t other\t (we\t have\t not\t yet\t discovered\t the\t means) from\tone\tmortal\tbrain\tto\tanother.\tWhether,\tin\tso\tdoing,\ttables\twalk\tof\ttheir\town accord,\tor\tfiend-like\tshapes\tappear\tin\ta\tmagic\tcircle,\tor\tbodyless\thands\trise\tand remove\tmaterial\tobjects,\tor\ta\tThing\tof\tDarkness,\tsuch\tas\tpresented\titself\tto\tme, freeze\tour\tblood\u2014still\tam\tI\tpersuaded\tthat\tthese\tare\tbut\tagencies\tconveyed,\tas\tif by\t electric\t wires,\t to\t my\t own\t brain\t from\t the\t brain\t of\t another.\t In\t some constitutions\t there\t is\t a\t natural\t chemistry,\t and\t these\t constitutions\t may\t produce chemic\t wonders\u2014in\t others\t a\t natural\t fluid,\t call\t it\t electricity,\t and\t these\t may produce\telectric\twonders. \\\"But\t the\t wonders\t differ\t from\t Normal\t Science\t in\t this\u2014they\t are\t alike objectless,\tpurposeless,\tpuerile,\tfrivolous.\tThey\tlead\ton\tto\tno\tgrand\tresults;\tand therefore\tthe\tworld\tdoes\tnot\theed,\tand\ttrue\tsages\thave\tnot\tcultivated\tthem.\tBut sure\tI\tam,\tthat\tof\tall\tI\tsaw\tor\theard,\ta\tman,\thuman\t as\t myself,\t was\t the\t remote originator;\t and\t I\t believe\t unconsciously\t to\t himself\t as\t to\t the\t exact\t effects produced,\tfor\tthis\treason:\tno\ttwo\tpersons,\tyou\tsay,\thave\tever\ttold\tyou\tthat\tthey experienced\t exactly\t the\t same\t thing.\t Well,\t observe,\t no\t two\t persons\t ever experience\t exactly\t the\t same\t dream.\t If\t this\t were\t an\t ordinary\t imposture,\t
