52 September 2011 September 2011 Old Fashion Farming Days July 29 & 30, 2011 This year was the 7th annual Old Fashion Farming Day. Activities included wheat threshing, baling, hay pressing, demonstrating the pony treadmill and many more fun activities. A new attraction this year, the Reaper, was introduced by owner and host, Mervin Yoder. He began by demonstrating the various handheld scythes (seen to the right) that had been used through the years and ended in telling the history of the horse-drawn reaper (shown below).
