There are five species of rhinos: the white rhino and the black rhino, which reside in Africa, and the Indian rhino, the Javan rhino, and the Sumatran rhino, found in Asia. Despite their differences in size, habitat, and appearance, all rhino species share a few common traits: a large body, a thick protective skin that can be nearly two inches thick, and one or two horns on their snouts.
