Plagiarism is the act of taking someone else's work, ideas, or words and using them in your own work without giving credit or proper acknowledgement to the original author. It can take many forms, but most commonly includes copying large portions of text from someone else's paper without quotation marks, paraphrasing others' thoughts and ideas without attribution or quotation marks, or copying images and text from the internet without citing their source.
