Our vision is that one day, all children in the Las Vegas and this nation will have the opportunity to attain an excellent education. Teach For America is the national corps of outstanding leaders from career professionals to recent college graduates who commit to teach for two years in urban and rural public schools which primarily serve low income students. They work towards becoming lifelong leaders in expanding educational opportunity. With 185 corps members teaching 16,000 students in schools across Las Vegas while an additional 500 Teach For America alumni living in Las Vegas continue working from inside and outside the field of education to bring the fundamental changes necessary to ensure educational excellence and equity.
