It is an absolute pleasure to welcome you to our weekly digital publication, The Gazette which will be published every Friday. The core mission of The Gazette is to report on news, information and entertainment in Pietermaritzburg and surrounding areas in KwaZulu-Natal.

The Gazette is led by a team of vibrant, creative, and inquisitive young people who are grounded in sharing stories, perspectives, and news stories on social and political issues - while also displaying their creative side through the arts, literary and otherwise.

We would like to be as transparent as possible and as such, we welcome any comments and critique you may have as a reader. Letters to the editor are also highly encouraged and will be considered for publication in our digital newsletter.
