Optimizing Content for a Profitable Blogging Experience

These four optimizing tips will help you be on your way to profiting from a moneymaking blog.

Blogging for money entails more than just putting content up on a hosted domain. In addition to finding a money making niche and posting regularly, the content needs optimizing for both human readers and search engines. Too often sites do not follow four simple rules to optimizing their content. First, the content has to provide a service to the reader. Second, the tone and voice of the article is extremely important. Third, it needs backing by good research. And fourth, it needs to be optimized with the correct keywords and phrases within the article.

First – Provide a Service to the Reader
The content has to provide a service to the reader. All too often bloggers and site managers put up content that amounts to little more than sales pitches of their products or services, these types of content need to be limited to sales pages and squeeze pages. Blogs content should never contain sales pitches for products and services; instead, they should provide a free service to the reader. This service is information on the given genre of the blog.

For instance, if the blog is for a nutrition company, its blog may highlight recipes or feedback from clients, current news and events related to the site, tips or health warnings, and information on the ingredients in the products. Occasionally a blog of this type may contain a press release of a new product.

Second – Watch your Language and tone
The tone and voice of the article is extremely important. Blogs should never ever take the tone of sales pitches, demands, or direct the reader to use the service. A moneymaking blog should contain professional, well-written content done by a professional writer or at least proof read and edited by the third party.

This is especially true if you, the blog owner, or the writer is not a native speaker of the language the blog is written in. spelling ,grammar, and other writing mistakes not only detract from the professionalism of the blog, they will cost you precious traffic.

Third-Research, Research, Research and Then Write
A monetized blog needs backing by good research. In addition to the second rule of content, well-written posts, the posts need backed by research. Tossing out claims and not backing the post with references can cost you or the company credibility and hence, traffic. Do your research. Base your posts on research, never make claims without backing it up with research, and include your research or references at the end of the post.

Fourth – Optimize the Blog with Correct Keywords
Your monetized blog needs optimizing with the correct keywords and phrases within the article. Many bloggers and companies stuff their sites with keywords for SEO purposes. Adding a list of key terms to the bottom of the page or even hidden behind the graphics will eventually cost you ranking on search engines.

While the main queuing system for search engines does not check for hidden keywords, the site will eventually be reported or caught in a random check by the search-engine office personnel. This will result in being blacklisted or removed from the internet. It is better to learn proper keyword techniques, than keyword stuff and hope for the best.

The general rule is to pick 5 keywords or phrases using a keyword generator before starting your article for the blog post. Base your article using these keywords at goal posts. And place ONE every 50 to 100 words in the article, no more, no less. Only where they will fall naturally in when the piece is read aloud.

These four optimizing tips will get you started blogging for money. How to make money blogging for free depends on your efforts in following optimizing rules of conduct, picking a blogging money making niche, picking the right layout for your audience, and using the right tools and add-ons of the trade.

As long as your blog provides a service for the reader, is well written and grammatically correct, is well researched, and is keyworded optimally and not stuffed, is should perform well on the blogging for profit market.
