26 Conjunctions Read the text. I have a brother and a sister. Both my brother and sister study in the same school. They study is SB Academy, but I do not study there. Their school is located in a village. I do not study in that school because I do not live with them. I am living with my uncle in a town. They are living with Mom and Dad. Do you want to live in a town or a village? I like to live in a town because there are many big schools and colleges. Neither my brother nor my sister wants to live in a town because they think towns are polluted. And, but, because, neither…nor, etc are joining words. They join words and sentences. They are called conjunctions. A conjunction is a word which joins words, group of words or sentences. Read some more sentences with conjunctions. Summer days are hot and sunny. It joins the words ‘hot’ and ‘sunny’. In summer, I like to go swimming because the weather is hot. It gives a reason. Swimming in summer is great, but I don’t know how to do it.
