01 PANTAI HOSPITAL KUALA LUMPUR Project Title : Renovation and Extension of Block B, C, & D Client: Pantai Holdings Sdn.Bhd. Location: Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur. Space Planning & Design The objective of the space design is to create staff convenient in accessibility. The admission counter is designed along with office to fit in at least 10 pax of staff working place, a counsel room accessible from office and visitor, a store and a staff pantry. The objective of the design for medical record room is to create rooms in organization way and aware of pedestrian circulation as it is located at basement 4 where public parked their cars. The circulation has separated to two; one for staffs entrance and one for visitor entrance where visitor register at designed registration counter.

In this project, I am also required to draft out the specific rooms especially room that needs detail specifications. For example the brachy room that required high attention on selection of materials and building components due to the high radioactive released. This type of room also needs to be approved by Ministry of Health (MOH) before application of permit to operate.

Planning & Design The objective of the apartment design layout is to design dual-key system unit in a restriction of building layout due to the strata title building layout applied in year 1997 as financial crisis append, the building was abandoned until today. The design of the unit is a combination of a studio unit with one bathroom and a standard unit with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, where the unit owner able to rent out the their unit to different tenants which is a trend nowadays as an Airbnb unit. The challenges of the building design is to comply the Strata Title Act, where Strata-Title Building prohibited on changes of unit number, building height, facade design and floor area of the building. The above are the Kebenaran Perancang submssion drawings to be prepared according to the OSC KM submission guideline in Majlis Daerah Cameron Highlands (MDCH).

Visualization Option 1 Visualization Option 2 Although there is restriction of Strata Title Act on the building layout and the language of building facade required by MDCH to be in Tudor style, we are worked to explore the possibility on various design of proposed apartment facade by 3D visualization. 03 CAMERON HIGHLANDS HOTEL Project Title : Refurbishment and Addition on Conversion of Existing Entertainment Complex to Hotel Client: Augustland Sdn.Bhd / HL Global Ent. Ltd. Planning & Design The objective of the project is to design a hotel from an existing commercial building. As the project received, the land status and category has confirmed as commercial building type, which to allow us to proceed on design planning without land matter issue. The structure of the building will be analyzed by Structural Engineer in order to allow on adding floors onto existing building. Meanwhile, as the fire safety requirements are different among the building categories, the consideration occurred by complying the requirements from a commercial complex to hotel such as fire staircase, building height & volume, occupancy load, dead end limit and travel distance.

Planning & Design In this project, there are 3 types of hotel unit layout: - Dual key apartment unit - Studio standard unit - Loft unit The layout of hotel units are designed in the restriction of existing building columns and beams position. The depth of beams are take into the consideration during design planning on the position of staircase in loft unit and interior aesthetic on furniture position and arrangement.

Planning & Design Also, the circulation of public, staffs and tenants is a crucial issue in spatial and zone planning while complying with client’s requirements. The existing cinema complex has replaced as ballroom by reusing the height of the existing floor, yet the hotel rooms, services area and public spaces are placed at the same floor, circulation of the floor is planned between existing lift lobby, staircase and existing link bridge. To control the human traffic circulation, the position of spaces is planned in its zoning while create convenience for users to access their space. Proposed 2nd Floor Plan according to client’s requirements on having kitchen and stores.

Facade Design By revamping the existing building, we are worked to explore the possibility on various design of proposed apartment facade by 3D visualization. Although there the language of building facade required by MDCH to be in Tudor style. Facade Option 1 Facade Option 2 Facade Option 3

04 UNTUNG UTAMA (455 UNIT) APARTMENT Project Title : Untung Utama (455 Units) Apartment Client: Untung Utama Sdn.Bhd. Location: Selayang, Selangor Status: On - Going (B.P. Site Location & Site Plan

Site Study The objective of the apartment design is to fit into the condition of the site where it is located at high and steep hill with minimal budget spent on retaining wall as less as possible in the building. Study of slopes and site orientation is critical for building platform and circulation access from main road to the apartment while observing the skyline view of Kuala Lumpur city at South of site. Section of site and building aided to understand the building positioned on slopes of site. Also, the accessibility from main road to the building need to be considered in schematic design stage while complying on designing the gradient of slope in order to comply the fire safety requirement (BOMBA) access which is 1:15. Study of survey plans and slopes. Experimental of building platform & orientation. Experimental of building positioned on the designed slopes.

The above are the Kebenaran Perancang submssion drawings to be prepared for the planner consultant to submit to Majlis Perbandaran Selayang (MPS). The requirement for KM submission drawings must be coloured according to the OSC KM submission guideline.

Circulation Study Main road to Site Circulation The existing site is an empty hill and slopes, thus the main road is the priority issue to solve in order to manuver the users to access into the site. The gradient of the road will be comply as a design requirement of Fire safety (BOMBA) access in gradient not less than 1 : 15. BOMBA Fire Appliances Access Three-Fourths According to the calculation of building volume, the fire appliances access is 3/4 of road. The building designed with access road of 6.1m width for Fire Truck to enter the building from the main road. Also, the frontage of the building desined with 6.1m green turf along with the radius at the corner of turning point with setback of 2m from the skirting of building. The green turf also accessible for maintenance service van such as TNB (electrical supply) and truck for Refuse Collection Point. Residents & Visitors’ Access To ensure the security of the building, all residents and visitors will go through the guard house at the main entrance. The traffic for residents is circulated directlky to the side of the main entrance to access into building car parking floors at the lower ground floor. The visitor circulation where the traffic is directed to the lobby of both blocks for ease of access and hence reduce the high traffic impact.

Facade Design Visualization 3D visualization of the building is built up for facade design and as a overview of the building positioned on the slopes of the site. Through the 3D model, we can also study the accessibility of traffic to access from the main road to the designed road at the front of the building. 05 SHOW GALLERY DILLENIA UKAY Project Title : Show Gallery Dillenia Ukay (Temporal) Client: Pintar Arif Sdn.Bhd. Location: Ukay Perdana, Ampang Status: On - Going (B.P. Planning & Design The objective of the Show Gallery design is to create space of interaction as an opportunity for visitor to approach the real estate product. Also, to make use on the show gallery, the building also designed with meeting room and office to function as a temporary site office for the contractors and clients for site discussion and allowed comfortable working space for staffs. The spaces were designed in humane and modular way within the floor area of 1,000 square feet along with the sales gallery which is also in 1,000 square feet. The above Ground Floor Plan drawing is the overall layout of the gallery with commercial use and as site discussion place.

3D Visualization The proposed 3D visualization used for client’s reference in order to estimate the required cost on the material used and proposed design selection for the show gallery project as it is a temporary building. Submission Drawings The above are the Development Order ‘Kebenaran Perancang’ submission drawings to be prepared for the planner consultant to submit to Majlis Perbandaran Ampang Jaya (MPAJ).

Technical Drawings The above are the roof details in specifications and details as a lump sump tender documents / drawings to be tender for contractors to quote based on the specification given and product selected by client.
