Write rhyming lines A rhyme is when two or more words have the same ending sound. Many poems have rhyming words. It is fun and interesting to read such poems. They sound like songs. Let us look at a few poems written by different people. Try to spot the rhyming words in them. Little Seed My Tooth Fell Out I plant a seed A tooth fell out, and left a space In the ground, So big that my tongue could touch my face! Out comes the Sun, Big and round. And every time I smile, Down come the rain drops, I show a space where Soft and slow, something used to grow. Up comes a flower I miss my tooth as you can guess Grow, grow, grow! PR Vocabulary Q Seasons During the year, some months are hot, and some are cold. Some months are pleasant and some are wet and muddy. These form the different seasons. Spring is when flowers bloom and it is green and fresh all around. It is not too hot or cold. There is new life everywhere. New baby birds and animals are born. New plants start to grow again. Summer is when the sun shines brightly and we feel very hot. We eat ice cream and have yummy mangoes and watermelons. We also swim in lakes, ponds or swimming pools. Monsoon is the rainy season. It is very important for farmers. Monsoon brings water for crops. Children love to play in the rain. We see many colourful umbrellas and raincoats. Winter is when we wear woollen clothes, caps and gloves to keep warm. We drink hot tea, milk and hot chocolate. All the seasons are important and special for different and special reasons. The four seasons—spring, summer, monsoon and winter come at four different times of the year, and have different types of weather. Module 12 57

Words such as who, where and what are used to ask questions. They are called question words.
