HSBC CENTRE, SYDNEY This large project features several GDK products, including their fixed brackets and braces solutions along with contemporary, curved aluminium panels which drape across the ceiling of the foyer at the HSBC Centre in George Street, Sydney. The bends and curvature of these aluminium panels were completed all off-site in the GDK factory, meaning once on site, the pieces went up without all the guess work, allowing for faster installation. Additionally, the fixing systems and panels were all pre-marked, further enabling the seamless installation. 12

INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION & EXHIBITION CENTRE, SYDNEY The newly opened International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Sydney, Darling Harbour features a range GDK of Imprint Acoustics’ products. The site which spans the former convention and exhibition centres features the Darling Theatre where customised perforated Imprint Acoustics’ panels line the walls & ceilings in a puzzling pattern. Upholstered acoustic panels are visible in many of the foyers, meeting and conference rooms, softening the large concrete interior. These panels deliver a plush feel to the spaces in the centre where concrete is often the overriding material. Vibrant blue suede wall panelling is featured in the entrance corridors in the Darling Theatre, further adding another dimension and one more texture to the interior GDK also provided 'Hickory Oak' timber veneer panelling which lines the sides of the staircases of the centre. The veneer selection compliments the interiors of the foyer where the plush, Imprint Acoustics fabric acoustic panels soften the many concrete elements. 16

NRMA HEAD OFFICE, SYDNEY The GDK Group delivered a range of joinery and acoustic solutions to the newly opened NRMA Head Office in the Sydney Olympic Park precinct. The site, which spans over six levels and includes a rooftop terrace was fitted with GDK’s high-quality joinery solutions and acoustic products. Each level of the office was fitted with a customised kitchenette, featuring the necessities every office needs. Completed with a sleek veneer finish, each kitchenette suits the needs of the staff at NRMA. Imprint Acoustics soft fabric panels were also a feature in the meeting rooms, gym and collaborative workspaces, used to negate the negative effects of sound enchroachment. The rooftop terrace features customised bench seating which wraps around the area while Imprint Acoustics' exterior MDF panel screening decorate the terrace with vertical wall gardens softening the space. 20
