FOUNDER CHAIRMAN OPRPIEYNAINSHGAANCKTAR LATE S. SANTOKH SINGH SAINI JI THE GUIDING SPIRIT

FROM THE DESK OF THE CHAIRMAN ‘’Education is a shared commitment between dedicated teachers, motivated students and enthusiastic parents with high expectations’’ Today, the role of a school is not only to pursue academic excellence but also to motivate and empower its students to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and productive members of an ever-changing global society. More than forty decades back, SGNPS pledged to transform education. The school that is being run under the aegis of a well established Management has earned its own niche . At SGNPS, we provide an atmosphere to our students for multifaceted development, where children are encouraged to channelize their potential in the pursuit of excellence. The school provides an amalgam of scholastic and co-scholastic activities. The school also strives hard to make the best possible efforts to inculcate strong values in the students. Dear stakeholders , in these covid challenging times, our talented and efficient staff, have shown their care and concern for the school and students, working from home preparing notes and engaging classes online to help our students learn. I would like to acknowledge their commitment and care for the students, academics and this institution. Next I pay my gratitude to the parents whose consistent support empowers us to do the best for our children. I pay my gratitude to them for their faith in us. I am confident enough that the SGNPians will make themselves stronger day by day, adding new leaves to the grandeur of the school. Heartiest congratulations to the children for their zestful participation in the E magazine as well as the teachers who have wholeheartedly contributed for the same. Stay safe and healthy. Regards S. Kuldip Singh Saini Hony. Chairman

SCHOOL SECRETARY'S MESSAGE “Difficulties In Your Life Do Not Come To Destroy You, But To Help You Realise Your Hidden Potential And Power, Let Difficulties Know That You Too Are Difficult” Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam SGNPS is always eager to equip the students to develop into winning personalities and complete human beings. We provide education that is rooted in firm principles and nurtured on right values. Our goal is to harness the vast potential of each student during their tenure in our school. We hone their latent skills to a fine perfection, with an excellent faculty and state of art infrastructure backed by a steadfast value system. We constantly endeavour to nurture global leaders of tomorrow. The bright future of our students; and through them, the welfare of the society; will always remain our supreme priority. I am confident that our school is in a position to offer the best academic and extracurricular training to the students, resulting in their holistic development. It is indeed a proud moment for me to present to you our first school E magazine designed by our students and staff with laudable efforts and teamwork. I take this opportunity to thank all the parents for their support and for showing faith in the institution. Warm regards and good wishes to all. S. Baldev Singh Puri Hony. Secretary

GENERAL SECRETARY’S MESSAGE “Develop a passion for learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow.” Sri Guru Nanak Public School was established with the ideology to provide a stimulating, safe and supportive environment, in which all our students can aim for success. We lay focus on all round development of a child and help our students to become active and responsible citizens. We intend to celebrate cultural and religious diversity, creating a truly global environment. We, as an institution, are here to hone the skills of our students, guide them and channelize their energies in the right direction for fulfilling their dreams. I am proud that our school is growing day by day and getting nurtured under the committed and supportive teachers and cooperative parents who have blended together harmoniously year by year in imparting education based on purity of conscience. In Today’s world, information and knowledge go a long way in developing the all-round personality of a man. Acquiring knowledge and updating it; is a continuous process. Sri Guru Nanak Public School is trying to fulfill this dire necessity of its students in every possible way. To my students, I would like to say: “Remember, you don’t always have to make it big in life. Enjoy the ride of life and keep your balance by moving on.” Sincere appreciation and gratitude to all the staff and dear students for the successful compilation of E-CHANAN, 2022. Wishing you a very happy reading! Regards S. Gurdeep Singh General Secretary

FROM THE DESK OF THE HOS The road to success is always uphill. It is the united efforts of all concerned that culminate into the desired results. At SGNPS, it is our earnest endeavour to ensure a conducive and holistic environment in which dreams of children are fostered and we help them walk joyfully towards achievement and success.Apart from imparting academic excellence, we also strive to sow the seeds of finer human sentiments right from the very early years of education. Year 2021, shook us with unprecedented challenges and tribulations. Many essential activities came to a standstill because of the Covid pandemic. Schools were shut down. Challenges were big, but not big enough to dampen our spirits and our sense of duty towards the education of our students. Our teachers exhibited remarkable enthusiasm towards adaptation to online teaching with efficiency and expertise. Smart interactive boards were introduced in senior classes making hybrid teaching most productive. Thus, we turned obstacles into opportunities. It’s not for us to complain that holistic education has suffered during online teaching. Rather, we ensure that every aspect of education: ‘sports’, ‘fitness’, ‘aesthetics’; is in no way compromised. All major days and festivals have been virtually celebrated with zeal and zest. Yoga sessions and physical fitness programmes have been organised to help children stay fit and healthy. Active participation of our students in ‘Fit India Movement’ activities such as: ‘PoshanMaah’, ‘Yoga Day’, ‘Fit India Run’ etc, won us three stars. It's a proud moment for us to launch our annual magazine, E- CHANAN, 2022. I hope you all will enjoy the glimpses of the colours splashed on the canvas of the year gone by. Gratitude and good wishes to the school management, staff, students and all the members of the SGNPS family. “LET THE CHANAN LIT IN EACH SGNPian GROW AND BRIGHTEN UP THE WAY FOR MILLIONS TO FOLLOW…..” HOS MS. SHIKHA GUPTA

TRIBUTE TO EX VICE-CHAIRMAN Late S. TALWINDER SINGH SAINI JI “What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes part of us.” – Helen Keller The callous hands of death parted us from our honourable Ex Vice Chairman, S. Talwinder Singh Saini ji on 13 February, 2021. He had been such a benefactor who had bequeathed to people around him, a new hope to cruise over the tribulations of life, a good will for one and all and a good word to the distressed! Late S. Talwinder Singh ji was the younger son of the visionary founder of SGNPS, S. Santhok Singh Saini ji. His entire life was dedicated to nurture the dream sowed by the founding father of the school. The school’s motto of ‘Service Before Self’, was always strengthened further and honestly upheld by Talwinder Singh ji. It was under his regime, as the school’s Vice Chairman, that the school grew enormously in terms of enrolments, quality of education, infrastructure and popularity. Although a man of few words, yet his benevolent deeds and outstanding efforts, spoke volumes of his dedication towards the welfare of the students and the society. S. Talwinder Singh Saini ji’s life renders a message for all of us: “The purpose of human life is to serve, and to show compassion and the will to help others.” He was one of the greatest souls that have walked the sands of human existence. We are proud to have been associated with him. His presence and insight will always be deeply missed by the students, staff and the management of the SGNPS family.

SMART INTERACTIVE BOARDS: At SGNPS we very well understand that integration of technology in education is the need of the hour. We can’t imagine achieving educational goals for our students unless technology is adopted in every school system. When the Covid-19 pandemic swept across the world in 2020, schools closed and education of students faced the threat of getting halted. Our efficient teachers were quick enough to safeguard the education of the students and they adopted online education with ease and efficacy Foreseeing further challenges as well as possibilities, we got our classrooms equipped with smart interactive boards. It has massively facilitated both online and hybrid teaching for our students. Our teachers are regularly trained to use smart boards effortlessly for the benefit of the students. Interactive instructional tools, create more interest and motivation among students, display attractive graphics, improve lectures with audio-visual tools, provide better instructional materials and enable a quality learning environment

· Digital Marketing 30 YEARS OF REFORMS ·The 30th anniversary of the 1991 reforms deserves commemoration. They dismant dysfunctional system of controls, which tied down the private sector and closed the trade and investment. ·The best way to commemorate the 1991 reforms is to consider what we can learn from dealing with the current crisis. ·The crisis today is not caused by excess demand. It has been triggered by a collapse in production following the disruption caused by the pandemic, which, in turn, has caused a fall in demand who lost incomes had to cut consumption. . ·Faced with a collapse in demand, it is appropriate to increase the fiscal deficit. The government rightly allowed the fiscal deficit to expand to 9.6% last year, ·If growth is going to be much lower than projected, there will be shortfalls in both tax and non-tax revenues. ·Another important lesson from 1991 is that we need to move away from a \"long list of reforms\" approach ·The 1991 reforms succeeded because they were structured around a core package of mutually supportive reforms. ·Reserve Bank of India (RBI) the same regulatory control over PSBs that it has over private sector banks would qualify as a real reform. ·The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) is a key reform, but its operation was temporarily put on hold because of the pandemic. ·The 1991 reforms helped the economy stave off a crisis and then bloom.
