Like Vincent says, the name says it all, never wonder about the past just keep moving forward. The never, woulda, coulda, doesn’t mean so much, just keep looking ahead and just keep rolling! “Regarding the band, yeah, there has been some changes but this current lineup we have (as a band) sounded any better. There was a point especially in the very beginning, that our sound was heavier. It was definitely ‘Rock’ but we have evolved and progressed to a ‘Funkier’ and ‘Groovier’ along with the ‘Rock’ style of music, so I think right now, we have the best of both worlds and again, with the addition of Jay and Fabienne, it’s just incredible, they are easy to work with and are truly professionals!” @GNoteEntertainmentMagazine 5|Page www.G-NoteEntertainment.biz

G-Note- From looking at your videos, that’s one of the first thigs I noticed, yeah, you are working at the business of making music, but it seems like you are all having fun at the same time, Fabienne and Jay, do you agree? Jay- “These guys are total jerks! (Laughing) Fabienne- ‘Yeah, right back atcha! (Laughing) Jay- “Dude, I’m kidding, working with Vin and ‘Dre has been great, when I was looking for a band to work with, I made the decision to join up with these guys because they were a ‘Pro’ band, that was key for me with my experience. I didn’t want to go ‘down’ in level to a cover or garage band, you know? No disrespect to any of those guys but that’s not what I wanted. I couldn’t any happier with the way each one of them approach music.” “Being in the band is great, I get to work with 3 other professionals what come up with great music and still, continue to create great music.” Fabienne- “I too agree with everything that’s been said, I feel like we found each other, I found them, and they found me we kind of fell into this. I have worked with many bands in the past in Europe and when I was a kid, and I felt like that this was supposed to happen.” “Vincent contacted me, and I felt that as we were talking that we had this, ‘connection’ and I was like, ‘wow’ it felt like I was talking to myself with all of the things he was saying about the band and the music and he made me want to pursue this opportunity and I wanted to see where this might go.” “Then, I met the others in the band, and it was very easy for me to want to be a part of this, it really felt like we already knew each other, we didn’t really, but it felt like it and like the others, I couldn’t be any happier, I always say, I inherited 3 brothers!” “We are constantly pushing and encouraging each other to be better and we really do love what we do, and we have fun for sure, but we also have to be serious. It’s a nice balance between the 2 and I think all of that hard work we have been doing is starting to show and pay off, the audiences really seem to like what we are doing and there is no better feeling!” G-Note – So, what is the current music scene in L.A. and how are you fitting in? Fabienne- “There is a lot of Hip- Hop and a lot of Metal out here right now, but straight up Rock & Roll is making a comeback right now. You’re from Michigan correct? How about the band, Great Van Fleet? Those are the kinds of bands that we are starting to see again around the L.A. It’s good to see that style make it back, it’s the music that me and the guys grew up on and we all enjoy it a lot I for one, am very happy to see it, I think that is something that has been missing and missed by the fans of Rock & Roll are ready for the wave.” G-Note- Let’s step back for a minute, you had mentioned that in the ‘early’ days of the band you had a heavier sound, do you still have some of that as an influence in the music you create today? ‘Dre- “The Band is a mash up of all the incarnations and it is what it is, when you have players and you have singers, what it comes down to really is the singer. You can have the best songs ever and if the singer doesn’t perform them well or with the feeling or emotion you need, it’s not going to work. What you need to do is understand the style of the singer and work and develop your songs and style around that.” “NEVERWONDER had always had great singers, if we had a ‘funkier’ kind of singer at the time, that’s what the music was crafted around, same with a full out Rocker. Fabienne bring us a little bit of everything and she does it very well and that gives all of us ‘breathing’ room to write, create, arraign and things are really clicking with all of us and as you can see, we are having a blast with all of it.” G-No6te|-CPoanggreatulations to all your ‘Best EP’ and ‘Bands to Watch’ and Reader Poll awards / nominations out there in L.A. itw’swnwot.Gof-tNeonttehEatnatlelrtthaei nmmemenbte.rbsizof the same band get nominated. @GNot eEnter t ainmen tMagazine

Band- “Thank you, we really have to thank our friend Brian Lush at “Rock Wired.com” magazine, he has been very good to us as has the people that come out to check us out and that continue to support us.” G-Note-I know you play most of your shows out West, any chance you’ll get to the Midwest anytime soon? Vincent- “The short answer is yes, but we have a short term and a long-term plan. We are writing a new album and after that release, we’ll see how that goes, same with the release of singles. We will look at where the territories where it may be ‘hot’. We are currently working on some things, but we really can’t say anything for sure at this time, but we will let you know when we have it locked down.” “Currently we have been on what is called ‘The Rock & Roll Marathon’ series. That entails shows in ‘Frisco, San Diego, Phoenix, Vegas, the Tri-state area. We are using our ‘weapon’ of music to get it out there and see and talk to new bands out there, but the Midwest is next to conquer!” G-Note-Can you talk at all about the fore mentioned album that you are working on? Who does the writing? Jay- “As a band we made a decision, we all come from different areas and musical influences and we can all write songs and share them with the group but what makes the NEVERWONDER songs sound like the NEVERWONDER sound is that we work on them together in a studio.” “That way, we all have our creative aspects or footprint on how we play, how we sing, and it all shows up on a song and in my opinion, it shows up in the flavor of the song, and it kick some ass when it happens that way.” “Right now, we have 4 songs written and we are coming together on another 4 or 5 songs and that’s our plan for the next couple of months in between playing gigs.” Fabienne-“ We do some file sharing back and forth with each other as well as rehersals so when we get ready to record in the studio, we pretty much have the sound that we are looking for down, we just work on the production at that point.” “As Jay mentioned, it really is a wonderful collaboration between everyone, it’s great! We get in a room and start jamming and recording, then we go our separate ways then come back and show each other what we all came up with and we tweak it from there. As the singer, I like the meoody and lyrics, Jay does his thing on the guitar, ‘Dre and Vincent have their parts and we all bring it back and the collaboration happens until we are happy the finished product, everyone has a say in it.” G-Note- I always like to ask this question of song writers, what are the themes or topics that you like to write about for a song? Fabienne- “Jay and I had some some songs written previous to our joining the band, we worked them to make it what it is for sound that is NEVERWONDER. For me, I reallly love the way they changed and the way they sound today.” “Regarding writing the new material, I like to tell stories in songs that touch me, it could be personal, or something going on around me or in the world that I want to talk about, so for me, it depends on what’s happening around me or something that speaks to me at the time, but I will say, there is a whole lot happening in the world and I have a lot of ideas.” Jay -“I like to write about girls and Blues…that pretty much it! (Laughing) Dre- “I think what we all do, we bring something to table, but we all have our processes that we do but I’ll say when we do share over a computer, it’s hard to say, how about more of this, or less of that, can we change this around but there is the free-flow of inputs and ideas and for us, it is working really well but all 4 of us have to be in the room when it’s decision time.” G-Note- Who were some of your musical influences before joining NEVERWONDER? Fabienne- “Being from Europe, I have a lot of different types of music that I grew up on, my father was a t7ru|mPpaegt e player, so@JGazNzoatnedEBnluteerstwaains malwenatyMs aavgaailzaibnle to enjoy, my mom was a huge Elviswawnwd .SGte-vNieotWeEonndterrtfaninbmuteInatl.sboiz

very much enjoy classical music, I studied classical music for many years, I was also into Prince, Pat Benatar, Radio Head, Led Zeppelin with New Wave and British Rock bands, so my influences are very diverse.” Jay- “M. y first album that I owned the ‘Greatest Hits of the Beatles’ that album was huge in influencing my musical tastes. The vocals, the melodies and the song hooks for me were addicting. But I also was really into Kansas, Rush, and bands like that. I was a product of the 80’s and I really liked the ‘Hair Bands’ the 1000 note per whip stuff, then I got into Gospel music and I was into Jazz as well as Queen. I do some teaching in music theory and progressions and I try to bring all of my tool box to the band when we make music.” ‘Dre- “I am sitting here thinking the best album of all time had to be from the ‘Spice Girls’ (All Laughing) Just like everyone else. I like al of the same stuff as they do, I gravitate to drummers, I love to hear an amazing drum solo you know, guys like Neil Peart from Rush, I love me some Bonham from Zeppelin.” “As we got older, Vincent and I grew up listening to Disco, the Funky stuff that makes people bounce to the music. I don’t think we were supposed to like it, but we do, but I was into Gangster Rap and I still like Pearl Jam. I really like listening to the new bands that are out there, and I’ll tell you, I like a lot of the Country music out there these days.” Vincent- “I agree with everything everyone has said, the music I like is the hip, moving and grooving, popping and when we bring all of these influences to the table or recording studio, that’s when the magic happens!” Fabienne- “I have a lot of friends in the music business and I really like the mixture of music out there these days, everything from Folk / Americana to Hip Hop to Metal and straight up Rock & Roll, Pop and EDM is getting big again.” For more information on NEVERWONDER, please go to: www.neverwonder.com Also check them out on Instagram at: www.instagram.com/neverwonderband/ Facebook: www.facebook.com/NEVERWONDER and Twitter: twitter.com/NEVERWONDERBAND 8|Page @GNoteEntertainmentMagazine www.G-NoteEntertainment.biz

Fusing his love for vintage soul music with his mastery of modern production, Boney has created another genre-bending work following on the heels of his 2014 GRAMMY-nominated album The Beat. “The forms I’m working with are rooted in my early influences,” says James, dropping names like King Curtis, the Stylistics and Earth, Wind & Fire. “But recently I’ve been listening to contemporary artists like Tinashé, Sam Smith and Ellie Goulding, and I’m inspired by the sound of their recordings. The production is layered and fantastic.” When asked about his latest effort ‘Honestly’ and how he came up with the name James said “As I started the new record, I was in my backyard studio messing around with this “gearhead” stuff I’ve collected. Ideas started flowing and it sounded like modern soul music to me. I thought to myself, ‘What is this?’… And then it hit me: @GNoteEntertainmentMagazine ‘Honestly.’

Boney continued on to say, “I’m still trying to be a better player and musician. I spend much of my time with a keyboard next to me and a computer behind me. So, when I get a creative idea, which happens pretty randomly, I’ll pick out a few notes or record myself humming a few bars or a melody. I start gathering pieces. Then I’ll build on them and gradually they’ll turn into songs.” “I get more and more excited and start spending 14-hour days out there. Before I know it, I’ve made an album. It’s amazing how it happens – like a ball rolling down a hill, it develops its own momentum.” Of course, this process would not be possible if James weren’t so skilled with the production technology – he says he views digital production as an instrument itself. He almost certainly could not have imagined such a thing when, at age eight, he picked up his first instrument: the clarinet. “I really wanted to play the trumpet, but when we went to the local music store, all they had were clarinets,” he explains. “I had to have something that day, so I took one home. The saxophone came up two years later because there were so many clarinet players in the band. My teacher kind of leaned on me to switch instruments,” James laughs. “It was all fate.” “The ‘analog’ tone of the sax combined with the ‘digital’ sounds of modern production contribute to the sonic tension that fuels ‘honestly’.” Boney says, “The track ‘Honestly’ really embodies the blending of retro and modern.” G-Note- Let’s talk a few minutes about your early days starting out in the music business and how you got your nickname ‘Boney’ B.J.- “I got seriously interested in music in the mid ‘70s, a very vibrant and freewheeling period for popular music. You could hear different genres all over the radio. Contemporary jazz was everywhere – people like Grover Washington Jr., Herbie Hancock and George Benson were stars. Artists like Stevie Wonder and Earth, Wind & Fire were incorporating jazz into what they were doing, and the jazz guys were mixing R&B into their sound. It was a great time to be a young musician. I also enjoyed Jethro Tull and YES among others of the day.” “I was jamming in basements and garages.” One summer during college, James found himself sitting in with some friends at a club. “Playing in a real club, with the energy of a real audience was such a fantastic rush,” he remembers. “That was the spark for my decision to become a professional musician.” “About my nickname, I was born James Oppehheim but by age 13, I received the nickname “Boney” because in my mid- 20’s I wasn’t making a lot of money, I was just a hired hand musician so I only had a small touring per diem and I wasn’t eating very well and I became thinner and thinner hence the name Boney. It has stuck with me ever since.” G-Note- What about a story I heard when you referred to yourself as a “Culinary transport engineer” B.J. – “(Chuckling), “Yeah that’s true, that’s when I was going to college and delivering pizzas to make money.” I really wasn’t very good at it, but it helped pay some bills.” Following the days of being a “culinary transport engineer”, Boney’s early pro gigs included sideman stints with Morris Day, the Isley Brothers, Randy Crawford and Teena Marie. This led to James release his debut album as a leader, Trust, in 1992. Some 23 years James has racked up sales of more than 3 million records, four RIAA gold albums, four GRAMMY nominations, a Soul Train Award, nominations for two NAACP Image Awards and 10 CD’s atop Billboard’s Contemporary Jazz Albums chart. In 2009 Billboard magazine named him the #3 Contemporary Jazz Artist Of The Decade (trailing just Kenny G. and Norah Jones). James says, “When people ask me what category my music falls under, I always say, ‘It’s Boney James music. Let’s just call it retro music for a modern age. I know people like to put you in a genre or a group, really I get it, but I just do what I do, and I believe my music is different enough to we stand on our own and so far, the audiences have responded well to it!1”0 | P a g e www.G-NoteEntertainment.biz @GNoteEntertainmentMagazine

And the guitar tones…both vintage and modern at the same time.”– Joe Satriani In 2012, he produced and co-wrote The Queen Of Metal, Lita Ford’s latest release Living Like Runaway for SPV records to rave reviews. As Music Director for Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp, he’s worked with legends like Joe Perry, Roger Daltrey, Yes, blues icon Johnny Winter, Robben Ford, Leslie West, and KISS drummer, Peter Criss. And he has toured and traded licks with the likes of Jeff Beck, Brian May of Queen, Ted Nugent, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Peter Frampton, and Dick Dale. With a collection of 21 albums it’s no wonder Gary Hoey is listed as one of the top 100 guitarists of all time. The world- renowned rock guitarist’s first break came in 1987 when Ozzy Osbourne liked Hoey’s tape enough tofly him to LA for an audition and encouraging him to move to the West Coast. In 1990 Hoey was signed to Reprise Records with a short-lived band called Heavy Bones, but followed up in 1993 with a solo album, and Gary’s cover of “Hocus Pocus” rocketed into the Billboard’s Top 5 Rock Tracks. @GNoteEntertainmentMagazine

Whether he’s playing scorching originals or classic rock covers, his solos are thrilling and reminiscent of Clapton or Stevie Ray in their fiery youth. One thing that remains consistent is Hoey’s impassioned command of the guitar. He can attack his instrument with feral intensity and then play something very soft and achingly beautiful. This ability to mix feeling, phrasing, technique and tone is the true mark of a master guitarist. 14 | P a g e @GNoteEntertainmentMagazine www.G-NoteEntertainment.biz

G-Note Entertainment Magazine had the pleasure to talk to Paul Nelson from his home recently to talk about his new album “Badass Generation”, Johnny Winter and other projects he has been involved in these days. G-Note- Paul, thank you again for your time! I know how busy you are, and I truly appreciate you taking time to talk with us. PN- “Oh no problem, it’s my pleasure.” G-Note -So what’s been going on? Are you keeping yourself busy these days? PN- (Laughing) Well, I’m building a gigantic tour! It’s unbelievable! The dates just keep coming in like crazy, I don’t know what’s going on but were loving it -I guess I got a couple of friends out there!” G-Note- Well, when you a top gunslinger (guitar) like you are, people want to see you and part of that experience. PN- “Nah, but I hope so, there aren’t too many of us out there. The top of the pyramid is getting kinda thin. When you start to think about how many players that are out there, then you look at who is doing it professionally and you break it down like how many are in fusion or how may are playing the blues or straight up rock and roll especially when they quickly realize oh wow, I actually have to do this and constantly work at it to make a career, not to mention the endless hours practice, travel, eating crappy food on the road or only getting a few hours of sleep in between gigs and it’s like whoa, whoa, whoa. This is not what I thought it was!” Nelson continued to say, “I’m lucky, I played with so many people and I also produce, and I keep building this body “stuff” so that help keep the phone ringing, that’s what it’s all about. Let me tell you, just being part of Johnny Winter’s band opened so many opportunities that I’ll be forever grateful for.” “Again, I’m so thankful that the tour dates for in support of “Badass Generation” just keep coming in. I want to get this music in the hands of the fans! G-Note- Let’s talk about “Badass Generation” what was the force behind it? PN “I wanted to create an album / CD with a series of songs that when you took a long drive you would listen to it in its entirety. I wanted to recreate a classic kinda feeling sort of like what you felt the first time you heard Led Zeppelin all the way through, not is a concept way but the way one song led you into another and it made sense, feel wise, groove wise, lyrically and instrumentally.” “I’m a big fan of the early sound of Boston, Queen, Nugent, Petty, etc. I study how did they record the drums, how did they get the sound correct – I see where fans are going back to the British Blues and bands like Bad Company, that means Page, that means Beck and Clapton and they all went in different directions but eventually I all come back around.” G-Note- When I heard the “Badass Generation” album in its entirety- I heard very rich influences of Deep Purple, ZZ Top, The Eagles, and so on, it was “Rockestra” of classic rock that was very comfortable and familiar with. I connected with emotionally, so I wanted to hear it over and over. Was that your goal? PN- “Absolutely! I have heard it said by people that have listened to ‘Badass Generation” that this the vinyl album I should have in my collection but forgot to get. It would be record next to my Boston or Sabbath in between the Queen or whatever. That is exactly what I wanted to do, to fill that hole, this stuff has been stuck in my head it just had to come out!” “Having top notch musicians, is inspirational. It gives you the freedom to say let’s go and you know it’s going to be incredible. We recorded the drums in mono, we used overhead mic’s and a kick drum to get that classic effect but still make it current and you must ask, where the hell are all the front men? We are losing front men!” @GNoteEntertainmentMagazine 19 | P a g e www.G-NoteEntertainment.biz

G-Note- Good point, without have a front man in the style of a Paul Rogers or Robert Plant in the band, how difficult is it to get commercial air play? PN- “You know, it hasn’t been too bad, the problem is there isn’t that many blues stations and a couple of the songs are “bluesy” but I was expected to do another Johnny Winter like album and I easily could have done that because I was next to him for so many years and it would have been like ok, so you’re playing his riffs, and playing his style but that’s not what I wanted to do. “ “When this album was getting picked up by blues stations, they would listen to it and they would say not everything on it is exactly a fit for us, but I’ll send this on the rock hour or 3 other formats where it does it in the same station so this has been extremely helpful in getting it out!” “I also find that touring is very helpful, the promoters of the venues contact the radio stations that sponsor the venue events and after they give it listen they say wow- this works and it gets played on the air and in front of people – It’s not always easy but you have to bring it to the people!” G-Note- Let’s name drop a bit and talk about the people you have shared the stage with over the years, do you ever step back and say wow who would have though I be jamming with ….? PN- “Oh yeah, you know I really do appreciate every musical opportunity I’ve been given either as a producer or a session guitar player. Does It hit me?... Yeah, one of the coolest things that I did was a jam session with Johnny Winter, Eric Clapton, Warren Haynes, Eric Clapton and Vince Gill and I at the control board working on mix of the jam session and this album I look down and it struck me while my hands are on the mixing board, I look down and the board tape says, Eric Clapton, Johnny Winter and Paul Nelson on the tape. I had my hand there and I call over to the engineer and asked him to come over and do me a favor, can you take a picture of my hand right now? He said why, what going on? That’s when I realized that need to be documented!” “Another time was Johnny (Winter) was at my house in my living room watching the Simpson’s on TV, I’m in the kitchen and I’ve been with him for a long, long time but it hit me, Johnny Winter is in my living room, watching the Simpsons and we’re ready to eat Chicken McNuggets and I thought to myself- how cool is that!” G-Note- I wouldn’t be doing my job if I didn’t ask you about your time with Johnny Winter? PN- “Have you seen the show “Down and Dirty?” I worked to build him back up physically. I took him to get laser surgery for his eyesight issues. We had a father-son relationship together. We were very, very close. We spent holidays together, we hung out before and after the shows. For goodness sake, we did Letterman together, we went to Japan together. I took him on a cruise… seriously, an Albino on a cruise! I took him to Hawaii! How do you offer something to an artist like Johnny Winter that he already hadn’t done? He was of fan of my guitar playing as I was of his. He introduced me to deep blues, the serious stuff I never would have known about if it wasn’t for him.” “Johnny did leave us on a high note, beside his lung which eventually gave out, he was healthy as an ox, I miss him very much! I still do Johnny Winter all-star shows which are great, we have a lot of special guest that come in for these shows.” G-Note- Let’s get back to “Badass Generation” Tell me a little about your album cover artwork. PN- That was international and though out. a cassette was Iconic of that time. It had to have the look and feel of someone pulling the cassette tape out of someone’s pocket or from under their car seat just before they put it in the player. It had to be retro but with an Andy Warhol New York feel to it and the title was how we used to describe people or things…You know, it was “Badass” to do this or that guy is a “Badass.” G-Note- Anything else to share? PN- I hope everyone check’s out “Badass Generation” and hope to see you soon on the road!” Che2ck0 o| uPt aalgl tehe latest happenings with Paul Nelson on his social media. www.paulnelsonguitar.com and wwwww.fawc.eGb-Noookte.cEonmte/rptaaui nlnmeelsnot.nboizfficial @GNoteEntertainmentMagazine

ON THE ROAD WITH TAB BENOIT AND WHISKEY BAYOU TAB BENOIT One of the most impressive guitarists to emerge from the rich Bayous of Southern Louisiana in recent years, Tab Benoit’s guitar tone can be recognized before his Otis-Redding-ish voice resonates from the speakers. He doesn’t rely on any effects and his set up is simple. It consists of a guitar, cord, and Category 5 Amplifier. The effects that you hear come from his fingers. In 1992 Benoit released his first recording Nice and Warm on the Justice Label. The title track became a AAA Radio hit and Benoit’s touring career kicked into high gear. Nice and Warm prompted comparisons to blues guitar heavyweights like Albert King, Albert Collins and even Jimi Hendrix. Tab began playing two-hundred and fifty shows a year, a schedule he has kept up for over twenty years. He recorded four albums for Justice Records before being signed to the Vanguard label and became Louisiana’s Number One Blues export. Vanguard allowed Tab to produce his own recordings; Tab wanted to record the sound that he was trying to create and in 1999 Vanguard Records released These Blues Are All Mine. Tab Benoit’s music evolved again after he signed with the Telarc International/Concord Music Group in 2002. He began to strip it down to a three-piece group, where he found more freedom as a guitarist. He was also on a mission in wanting to use his music and his energy to bring attention to Louisiana's coastal erosion issues. Tab began to spend more time in the Wetlands and it was where he began to write his songs. Wetlands was the title of his first Telarc/Concord International release. The record combined many musical styles that are indigenous to Louisiana, while he began to play accordion lines and washboard on guitar. Wetlands was a mile marker that definitively marked Tab’s further musical progression into his own original sound and style. Following the release of Wetlands in 2004 Benoit founded the Voice of the Wetlands non-profit organization (www.voiceofthewetlands.org) and began to use music and gather other musicians to use their platforms for getting the message out. He put together an all-star band that featured Cyril Neville, Anders Osborne, George Porter Jr, Big Chief Monk Boudreaux, Johnny Vidacovich, Johnny Sansone, and Waylon Thibodeaux that became The Voice of the Wetlands All-Stars. The Voice of the Wetlands All-Stars have released two CDs and occasionally tour throughout the country. Benoit recently launched his own imprint, Whiskey Bayou Records, with partner and manager, Rueben Williams. The label has thus far released albums by such established artists as Eric McFadden, Damon Fowler, Eric Johanson, Jeff McCarty, and Dash Rip Rock. In 2019 Benoit hits the road for a major U.S. Tour, the Whiskey Bayou Revue, featuring Benoit and several of his label’s artists. FEATURE: Tanya Tucker Edgy. Classic. Country. A defining voice of country music and a modern- day legend, Tanya Tucker inspired many female artists who still top the charts today. From the signature classic songs to the unforgettable sass and soul of her voice, Tucker has paved a path in country music and beyond through an unprecedented level of success and continues her longevity today due to a natural, undeniable talent. When producer Billy Sherrill received a demo tape of Tucker, he quickly signed her to a record deal at Columbia Records. Her style has proven to be timeless ever since she recorded her debut single “Delta Dawn,” at age 13. The single earned a Grammy nomination for “Best Female Country Vocal Performance” and launched Tucker into the national spotlight during the beginning of her teenage years. In 1972, she earned the “Top New Female Vocalist” award by the Academy of Country Music. Tucker achieved an unusual feat for a female country artist at the time with a 1974 Rolling Stone cover story with the headline, “Hi, I’m Tanya Tucker, I’m 15, You’re Gonna Hear From Me.” As additional hits continued, Tucker added an edgy rock image, which she still embraces, to her musical taste with the album T.N.T, which was released in 1978. The gold certified album peaked at number two on the album charts. Through a collaborative relationship with Glen Campbell, Tucker transitioned to a new label in the early 1980’s and was back in the Top 10 with “Can I See You Tonight,” co-written by hitmaker Deborah Allen (Patty Loveless). Just a few years later, Tucker experienced another hit with “One Love at a Time,” co-written by Paul Overstreet (Randy Travis, Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton). With four additional number one charted hits between 1986-1988, Tucker’s career, nearly two decades already underway, was proving to be one for the record books. The 1990’s gave rise to some of Tucker’s most recognizable and career defining songs, “Two Sparrows in a Hurricane” and “It’s a Little Too Late.” New albums, along with multiple versions of greatest hits and live compilation projects, propelled Tucker to become one of the bestselling female artists in country music. With a 1994 Super Bowl XXVIII halftime appearance, Tucker was a household name to stay. Tucker’s latest honor, a special exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville, Tennessee, gives visitors the chance to step into Tucker’s rich personal life. “Tanya Tucker: Strong Enough to Bend” runs through May 2015 and features many of Tucker’s favorite items from various eras of her career. From her pink Harley Davidson to her own line of salsa, Tucker’s life is chronicled in a never-before-seen way for fans to get up close and personal with the legend. In February of 2017, Tanya performed at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena for a packed house and was featured in Rolling Stone Magazine. She belted out Randy Travis’s “I Told You So,” paying tribute to her dear friend. She is currently out on her 2018 International Tour, including shows in Canada. She is managed by James Garner and Jerilyn Sawyer of Sawyer & Garner LLC and her agents are Lance Roberts and Nick Meinema of United Talent Agency. Stay tuned for a long- awaited new album from the songbird herself. New Music Alert: Christone ‘Kingfish’ Ingram Alligator Records is pleased to announce the signing of 20-year-old guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Christone \"Kingfish\" Ingram. This 21st century bluesman's debut album, KINGFISH, is set for release on May 17, 2019. Today, February 19, RollingStone.com will premiere the album track Fresh Out, a sizzling duet featuring music legend Buddy Guy. The first radio single, Outside Of This Town, will be released on April 15. Additionally, on May 16, Kingfish will showcase at WXPN-FM's annual, influential NON-COMMvention in Philadelphia. The convention brings together public (non-commercial) radio music programmers and managers, music industry representatives, and music media from across the US. From there, Kingfish will tour, headlining his own shows and opening dates for Buddy Guy and Vampire Weekend. Alligator Records president Bruce Iglauer considers Kingfish a natural fit for the blues and roots label. “At the age of 20, Kingfish is one of the most exciting and passionate young artists I’ve seen in many years. He’s creating new music that feels like blues but doesn’t copy what’s already been done. His roots are firmly in the Mississippi Delta, and you can hear that raw Delta honesty in his playing and singing. His guitar work is technically dazzling, but it’s all about the emotions of the song and moving the audience. He’s perfectly capable of crowd-pleasing shredding, but his music is remarkably mature. He knows which the important notes are, the notes that tell the story and grab the audience, and he leaves out the extraneous ones. He sings with the intensity and directness of a seasoned blues artist. He venerates the blues masters of the past and present but is eagerly making his own statement, inspired by the music they created. I’m watching him become a young, visionary blues giant. He has an amazing future ahead of him, and I’m proud that he’s joined the Alligator family.” Sprung from the same earth as so many of the Delta blues masters, Kingfish comes bursting out of Clarksdale, Mississippi, just ten miles from the legendary crossroads of Highways 61 and 49. A student of the Delta’s musical history, he is acutely aware of the musicians and the music that emerged from his corner of the world. “I do think I have an old soul, that I’ve been here before,” he says. “I’m moving forward with one foot in the past. You don’t see too many kids into blues music. In my town, every kid wants to be a rapper – I wanted to do something no one else was doing.” And although he grew up near the crossroads where Robert Johnson allegedly cut a deal with the devil, Kingfish insists he didn’t do any of that to make his guitar how3l 7th|ePbalugees. “I just prac@ticGeNaollt ethEenttimeret,a”inhemseanytMs, a“tghaazti’nsethe only deal I made, and it’s withwmwwys.eGl-f.N\" oteEntertai nmen t.biz

National Record Store Day Record Store Day is an annual event, founded in 2007, held on the third Saturday of April each year to celebrate the culture of the independently owned record store. This year’s celebration will be held on April 13th. Across the country as well as the G-Note Entertainment Magazine reading audience, special vinyl and CD releases and various promotional products are made exclusively for the day. Festivities include performances, cook-outs, body painting, meet & greets with artists, parades, DJs spinning records, and on and on. In 2008 a small list of titles was released on Record Store Day and that list has grown to include artists and labels both large and small, in every genre and price point. In 2015, 60% of the Record Store Day Official Release List came from independent labels and distributors. The list continues to include a wide range of artists, covering the diverse taste of record stores and their customers. Although Record Store Day, the day, only occurs once a year, Record Store Day, the organization, provides promotions, marketing, and other opportunities for stores throughout the year, maintaining a website, social media and other means of promulgating its views about the value of independent record stores. Record Store Day is managed on a day- to-day basis by the Dept. of Record Stores, along with the Coalition of Independent Music Stores and the Alliance of Independent Media Stores. According to Wikipedia, the event began by a comment by Bull Moose employee Chris Brown that something could be done along the lines of Free Comic Book Day, and with inspiration from a brainstorming session during a record store owners' meeting in Baltimore, Record Store Day was officially founded in 2007 by Eric Levin, Michael Kurtz, Carrie Colliton, Amy Dorfman, Don Van Cleave and Brian Poehner, and is now celebrated at stores across the world, with hundreds of recording and other artists participating in the day by making special appearances, performances, meet and greets with their fans, the holding of art exhibits, and the issuing of special vinyl and CD releases along with other promotional products to mark the occasion. This is a day for the people who make up the world of the record store—the staff, the customers, and the artists—to come together and celebrate the unique culture of a record store and the special role these independently owned stores play in their communities. On the first Record Store Day, Metallica spent hours at Rasputin Music in San Francisco meeting their fans and now each year hundreds of artists, internationally famous and from the block, flock to record stores around the world for performances, signings, meet and greets and to fill their own shopping bags with music. In 2009, Jesse \"Boots Electric\" Hughes (Eagles of Death Metal) declared himself the \"Record Store Day Ambassador\" as a way of shouting out how important the stores were to artists and since then Joshua Homme (Eagles of Death Metal, Them Crooked Vultures, Queens of the Stone Age), Ozzy Osbourne, Iggy Pop, Jack White, Chuck D and Dave Grohl have worn the ceremonial sash. For 2016, that sash is based to Metallica, to officially mark their involvement with Record Store Day and support of independent record stores. Regarding the importance of Record Day, Wilco's Jeff Tweedy has been quoted to say on a recent Records Store Day celebration “My introduction to all this great music and to ‘the music business’ came from hanging around, and eventually, working at independent record stores. Nothing beats browsing in your favorite store, listening to music, finding something new or old that you’ve been searching for, all that. And without these stores, there’s just no way Wilco would still be around.\" Tweedy continued to say, \"There would be no Wilco if it weren't for independent record store3s8.\"| P a g e www.G-NoteEntertainment.biz @GNoteEntertainmentMagazine
