Chamber Hosts Bridging Bruins Intern Charles Pritz will attend William & Mary this fall This spring the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce hosted a student intern, Charles Pritz, from Lake Braddock Secondary School, through the school’s Bridging Bruins program. Pritz joined Kim Clarke in the Chamber office for two weeks, bringing with him experience and interest in both marketing and business. The Bridging Bruins program was founded in 2017 with the goal of getting high school seniors out of the classroom and into a work environment. In its inaugural year, there were 60 students in the program. This year, 100 students participated. Bridging Bruins is a program specific to Lake Braddock Secondary School for high school seniors who meet the requirements to be accepted into the program. If a student is selected, they get to leave school three weeks early to pursue an internship in their field of interest and are exempt from final exams. During his time in the Chamber office, Pritz assisted with social media, event preparation, membership engagement and more.
