At Royal North Shore Hospital, Ara developed the branding for the $1.127 billion redevelopment project which was successfully applied in a variety of formats as part of the strategic communications program. The project included artwork for the Arts and Heritage Program, Change Management Step-‐Up program and staff welcome packs including bags and a Z-‐card. The work required negotiation with a number of Government and non-‐Government clients (including the InfraShore consortium led by the Royal Bank of Scotland). She has also worked on several projects for InfraShore and Blacktown Mount Druitt Hospital, most recently delivering an impressive series of graphic panels for the hospital main entry. The work has been so well received that months after their installation, we are still receiving compliments from staff, visitors, management and Board members. I can’t speak highly enough of her creativity and her ability to translate complicated communication into elegant designs that really cut through with clients and consumers. Working with Government clients often requires a special degree of patience, fast turnarounds, and the ability to provide direction and advice to non-‐designers. Ara meets all of these requirements. Her consultative approach and ability to work design magic within Government budgets makes her our go-‐to person for all our design needs. The other quality that really stands out for me when I think of Ara is her approach to colour. She seems to have a sixth sense for working with colour and I am fortunate to have been the beneficiary of that skill. It’s been an absolute delight working with her and a pleasure to showcase her work to my clients.
