Dictators for dummies By: Aiden Stanton

You Want to be a Dictator Dictator: A person who controls the country and comes to power using fearful strategies. Hitler How: His Nazi party grew in numbers which allowed him to gain political power in the Reichstag. Germany was desperate for a new leader that would help them. Kim Jong-un How: He came to power because he is part of a Monarchy which his family obtained for years in Korea.

Tips and tricks to getting your power Brainwash the people so you get your way People will trust the lies that are treated as the truth by the government. Mussolini How: Mussolini interfered with people's beliefs and made them believe in what he did and if people believed in what Vladimir Putin How: Putin brainwashed people into believing he is a hero that needs to stay in power

Tips and tricks to getting your power Printed news that is trying to make someone biased towards one point of view. Brainwashes people into believing they need to do something important that is their choice to make. Stalin How: Uses posters to persuade the people that they are targeting, telling them they are in the smartest country and should do as they say. Assad How: He used propaganda to tell people that they have gone through something they feel like they shouldn't have gone through

How to keep your power step 1 Lie to the people and limit the information they are allowed to obtain. They don't allow people to obtain the right information. Hitler How: He burned knowledgeable books the people could read that would them turn against the government so he banned them. Jinping How: He censored letter N which would be useful for scientists mathematically.

How to keep your power step 2 You could use propaganda, school's, and police. You could force fear on the people to believe what you say Mussolini How: He used people to start riots and strikes so he would look good in order to come to power. Salman How: He uses people to see these posts to make them believe he fits their needs.

How to keep your power step 3 You could kill people that want your spot You could use fear and violent actions The people are fearful of you if you have power Hitler How: He scared people with propaganda and his powerful military. Putin How: He uses fear by using his military and pride to have revenge on all of the USSR’s foes.

How to keep your power step 4 They try to protect the people and keep them safe but they only say that to lie. It makes the people think they are doing the right thing but they aren't. Stalin How: Forced many people into labor cams where they died because he didn't believe they were good enough for his society. Kim Jong-Un How: Killed a man because they assumed he was doing the wrong in their society so he forced him into labor where he died.

How to keep your power step 5 They spied on the people and were sent to imprison them or kill them if they talked bad about the government. They won't be able to persuade anyone else that the government is bad. Mussolini How: People were starting to be of being a spy for Mussolini because he had so many for his government. Putin How: Locks people up for opinions they should be entitled to.

How to keep your power step 6 Printed media that was biased towards a certain point of view. Make people believe they are the best country in the world. Hitler How: Reminded the people of the struggles going on in the world which their country was always the victim. Xi Jinping How: Uses classrooms and the inside country to persuade the new people about the greatness of their country.

How to keep your power step 7 They don't allow social media or any kind of new knowledge because they are afraid of the truth about the bad government will get out there. It hides the truth of the bad government so the people know what's wrong and right so they only know what's right. Assad How: They blocked the internet because they knew the damages it could do to their government's reputation.

How to keep your power step 8 Strong pride in one's country. The killing of a large group. A conflict between two or more ethnic groups. The people believe the dictators when they say they'll change the bad ways so they get the peoples votes and nationalism helps this because they will put everything in to believe that the country will get better, The people also get feared so they are scared to do something. Stalin How: He killed 7,000,000 due to the famine which he could have prevented but didn't because he was self-centered.

How to keep your power step 9 Makes the dictator benefit but makes him look good in the beginning but then he does not care about anything. Gets the people to vote for them then they can do whatever they want. Hitler How: He promised all these nice things for the people but then lied to save himself from total destruction. Putin How: He is boosting his confidence in the lies he tells his people so they believe him more and he controls everything that they hear.
