KEMSEEKERS (Date: Oct. 17, 2014) Kemseekers'14 - chemistry quiz was conducted on 17th Oct ,2014 .The students who were selected for the quiz were on the basis of the screening test which was conducted on 14th Oct 2014. Out of 200 students only 16 were selected and were distributed in eight teams. There were three rounds in the quiz 1. KEM FALLACY 2.KEM BUZZ 3.KEM FIRE. All the three rounds were an elimination round and at the end twoteams were taken as the winner. At the end the winners were awarded and the whole event was a grand success.

NATURITICA (Date: Oct 28, 2014)“NATURITICA – TOMORROW WILL BE TOO LATE ”To create awareness among people about how to, clean the environment,save the earth, and how to save the nature today. School of Applied Sciencespresented NATURITICA, in which Students role-played “DHARTI KIPUKAR” and “PAINT IT GREEN” a poster competition. Through theSTREET PLAY students depicted a world where many things are gettingpushed onto the brink of extinction and deterioration and that is a disgrace.The event was being organized by Dr. Charu Khosla and Prof. D.P.Guptaalong with the team of students -Manan, Chaitanya and Ishan from first yearCSE and ME. Judgement was being given by Dr.Jyotsna KaushalDy.Dean,CSAP and Prof. Nitin Dutt from CSPA…….

MATHS FALLACY (Date: 31st October,2014)������������ ������������������������������������ : Mathematical Quiz on Fallacies named “������������ ������������������������������������” hasbeen organized by Mr. Mohit Kakkar and Mr. Jasdev Bhatti on 31stOctober, 2014. 150 students had appeared for screening test on 29thOctober, 2014 out of which 16 students had been shortlisted for the finalround. Four students had been certified for winning the quiz…..

Chancellor’s Day Date: 15th, 17th, 21January, 2014It was indeed a privilege and an opportunity for the students and faculty of Chitkara School of Applied Sciences to be addressed by Dr. Ashok Chitkara,Chancellor, Chitkara University. The session marked the onset of Inspiration flowing in the Campus with enlightening & enriching session by Hon'ble Chancellor as he shared his pearls of wisdom with the budding Chitkarians……

Ms. Taruna Manchanda presented a paper entitled “Greensynthesis of Nano particles-A Revolution” dated 31 Jan,2015 in 7th national conference on Recent advances in chemical ,biological and environmental Sciences(RACES-2015) at Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala……

Prof. D.P. Gupta attended two Days National Workshop on Ion Beam Induced Growth of and Engineering of Material; at Dept. of Physics, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra…..Ms. Reetu malhotra Presented a paper at 17th PunjabScience Congress at PTU, Jalandhar….

Mr. Mohit Kakkar presented a paper “Stochastic Analysis of twodissimilar Parallel Unit Repairable Industrial System” atInternational Conference on Mathematics & Engineering Sciences(ICMES) held under the encouragement of IMRF in collaborationwith Chitkara University, Baddi, Himachal Pradesh…. Happiness Program by \"Art of Living\" at CU Faculty participated and learned breathing technique under the guidance of AOL International Teacher Mr. Yogesh Gaur.

Devashish (CSE, Cun13010109) E-PEDICAB Shivam Sahni along with his team mates Divyam Dewan and AbhishekSingla bagged 2nd position in Technical Exhibition Modex at Technex 2015 where teams having projects- Smart Home, Power Cutters, Conversion ofPlastic Waste into Energy, Portable ECG, Intelligent Source Switch etc. from all over India participated. The Exhibition was organized by IIT BHU, Varanasi. Patented Innovation E-PEDICAB was highly appreciated & got maximum voting and its special news was circulated in different newspaper also. In the first round , our team was in top fives and judges remarked our students presentation – the best one.

Hindi Diwus Date: Sept. 19, 2014Hindi diwas was celebrated on 19.9.2014 under the ISTE organised byTaruna Manchanda and Dr. Himanshu Sharma (School of applied sciences).It includes many activities like Poem recitation, Calligraphy, Speech, Debateand play.

Science DaySBST’15 –Symbosis Between Science And Technology was organized on thespecial occasion of National Science Day on 27th February, 2015 in whichstudents gave their events proposal and executed them.



Life “A Roller Coaster” By Molly Aggarwal (CSE 1st year)Life is a roller-coaster ride. Sometimes you are up and sometimesdown. It’s the that matters. The moments of impact that matter.Sometimes you enjoy so much and feel gay and enthusiastic whilesometimes you cry as the ride has taken a toll on you leaving youexhausted and famished. Thereare these moments whenyou have butterflies inyour stomach andyou are anxious about what isgoing happen next. It is ascurvy and complicated asroller coaster. So next timewhen you go for aroller-coaster ride justLethe emotions flow and cherish each momentof the ride because it’sthese moments thatmatter more than anything elsein this world. Without its bumps and jumps the ride would havebeen dull and boring. So come out of the delusion of never endingneeds and live each moment as if you have never ever felt pain , as ifall the troubles were not able to touch you, as if everything is magicand you’ll find yourself at peace and solace with everything aroundyou………..
