1987 BCCA National Specialty Winner ch MistiBurn happy MeMories Bred by Irene and Ralph Carson • Co-owned by Irene Carson and Ted Turner This page is normally reserved annually for the winner of the Ralph and Irene Carson Breeder’s Cup Award that, as Irene said,“recognizes the special effort and acknowledgement of the breeders in fulfilling the primary objective of the BCCA as stated in the BCCA bylaws,“The objects of the club shall be to encourage and promote the quality and ethical breeding of purebred Bearded Collies and to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection.” How appropriate that, in lieu of a winner for the postponed 2020 BCCA National, due to COVID 19 restrictions, Irene is featured with her own National Specialty winner Mimi, that she bred. “The most memorable moment involving Beardies for me is when I handled our Mimi to Best of Breed at the 1987 BCCA National Specialty.” Irene Carson
