The Addams Family 12 - 16 September 2023 7.30pm (Tue 12–Sat 16) 2.00pm (Sat 16) Ticket prices start at £5.00 They’re creepy and they’re kooky, mysterious and spooky – but then isn’t every family a little bit strange? There’s only one thing that could scare Gomez and Morticia Addams – their devilish daughter Wednesday falling for a polite, respectable young man. When he and his parents are invited to dinner will true love conquer the family’s dark hearts or will all the skeletons finally come crashing out of the closet? A hilarious macabre musical based on the iconic characters created by Charles Addams.
Sheila’s Island 24 - 28 October 2023 7.30pm (Tue 24–Sat 28) 2.00pm (Sat 28) Ticket prices start at £5.00 Stranded on a dark, foggy island in the Lake District during a team- building weekend Sheila and her workmates from Pennine Mineral Water Ltd must survive the night with only weapons made from cable ties and spatulas for protection. Thrown together under trying circumstances the cracks start to show and the chickens come home to roost* (*not literally). Can a prom dress be fashioned into a night shelter? What is Julie’s husband really up to in Aldi? Even Bear Grylls might find it all a bit much. A spiky, all-female reworking of ‘Neville’s Island’ (one of our most popular former shows) by Tim Firth (Calendar Girls).

Things are about to get even worse when evil property developer Fleshcreep decides Jack’s farm is the perfect spot for a new car park. The battle to save Jack’s home will involve a dancing cow, ravenous rabbits and a handful of “magic beans”. Come and join in the “Fee Fi Fo FUN!”
Animal Farm 08 - 10 February 2024 7.30pm (Thurs 08–Sat 10) Tickets £6.00 Grove Park Youth Theatre “All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others”. A group of farm animals make a stand hoping to create a society where they can live free from oppression. This powerful political satire from George Orwell is as relevant now as it was when it was published at the end of the Second World War. An all-time classic story of how power corrupts.
Frankenstein 19 - 23 March 2024 7.30pm (Tue 19–Sat 23) 2.00pm (Sat 23) Ticket prices start at £5.00 Mary Shelley’s gothic masterpiece seen through the eyes of the tormented Creature who is cast out by his horrified creator Victor Frankenstein. Seeking friendship and knowledge the childlike “monster” faces a hostile world. His yearning for love and thirst for vengeance collide in shocking ways as he confronts his maker. Adapted by Nick Dear.
Home, I’m Darling 21 - 25 May 2024 7.30pm (Tue 21–Sat 25) 2.00pm (Sat 25) Ticket prices start at £5.00 Judy seems like the perfect 1950s housewife happily cleaning, baking and tending to husband Johnny’s every need. But beneath the aroma of warm apple pie something smells fishy. Debuted at Theatr Clwyd in Mold to rave reviews in 2018 Laura Wade’s darkly funny play is a reminder that the “good, old days” might not be as good as we remember.
Some Mothers do ‘ave’ em 09 - 13 July 2024 7.30pm (Tue 09–Sat 13) 2.00pm (Sat 13) Ticket prices start at £5.00 The beloved TV sitcom comes to the stage with Frank Spencer still as lovably hapless and accident-prone as he was back in the 1970s. Frank is so preoccupied by possible newfound fame as a magician he doesn’t know wife Betty is pregnant. With guests arriving for dinner and crossed wires all round, priceless misunderstandings are on the menu. Hilarious mishaps and DIY disasters bring the house down, quite literally in this ensemble farce.
