Home 35Honoring employees who have completed Long Service YEARSPradip Rane (Bonded Abrasives)Been with GNO since 9th February, 1980Pradip began his career as a Mechanical Draftsman in 1980. Till date, he hassuccessfully implemented more than 100 Kaizens. One of his notable Kaizenhas been to replace ink spreading beads with poppy seeds to make it runsuccessfully again. Apart from being a dedicated professional, Pradip is also anavid sportsman and has won many laurels in Cricket and Carrom competitions. Ulhas Mazgaokar (Bonded Abrasives) Been with GNO since 17th February, 1980 Ulhas is known for his positive attitude, co-operative nature and punctuality. His contribution in improving the productivity of Tokimoto machine has been commendable. Hemant Pansare (Bonded Abrasives) Been with GNO since 3rd June, 1980 Hemant began his career in 1980. He is a mixing operator and is known for his hardworking nature. Co-operative by nature, he always strives for the best in all he does.1

Home 35 Honoring employees who have completed Long Service YEARS Pradeep Patil (Bonded Abrasives) Been with GNO since 3rd June, 1980 Dedicated, punctual and hardworking are the words that define Pradeep. In the year 1996, he received an award for highest output in vitrified production. Vasant Mhatre (Bonded Abrasives) Been with GNO since 3rd June, 1980 Vasant always works towards maximum out time achievement and ensures safety at the work station. He is a hardworking individual who is ever-ready to help others. GNO is his first company and it holds a special place in his heart.2

With a smiling face,he handles every situation with ease and composure. Before entering theCustomer Service domain, he has been a part of various business areas thatdirectly or indirectly affect Customer Service which include Logistics, MTSPlanning and FSR for MTO. Prakash Sabarad (Delegation Finance) Been with GNO since 12th May, 1990 Prakash has contributed immensely to Grindwell Norton and the Saint-Gobain Group in India. A down-to-earth individual, Prakash is always accessible. Presently, he heads the Indirect Taxation department for Delegation Finance. Avinash Namnaik (Bonded Abrasives) Been with GNO since 15th May, 1990 Avinash is a man of few words. He truly believes that actions speak louder than words. Over the years, he has an experience of working in various departments like Vitrified mixing, Laboratory, Super Abrasives and supply chain. He is humble by nature and gels well with both the young and the old at GNO. Makarand Tadwalkar (Bonded Abrasives) Been with GNO since 20th May, 1990 Fondly known as Mak, Makarand began his career by working in the laboratory. Eventually he moved to the production department. Over the years, he has gained a rich experience in Organic mixing, Vitrified mixing, Rubber Wheels and new product development. Pleasant by nature, he is flexible in his approach and always open to change.3

Balakrishnan (Delegation IT)Been with GNO since 29th May, 1990Bala, as he is fondly known, has always remained updated on varioustechnological changes and implements them effectively within theorganization. A soft-spoken individual, he is eager to help others with his richknowledge and experience.Arun Sarvankar (Bonded Abrasives)Been with GNO since 2nd June, 1990Arun is known for his supportive nature at work and is always ready to helpothers. He is interested in Volleyball and plays the sport during his free time. Dayanand Patil (Bonded Abrasives) Been with GNO since 2nd June, 1990 Dayanand is the second generation employee from the Patil family. He developed a new method for loading extra wheels. Friendly by nature, he goes out of his way to help his colleagues. Kisan Patil (Bonded Abrasives) Been with GNO since 2nd June, 1990 Kisan is the second generation employee from the Patil family. A hardworking professional, he is always looking for ways to improve productivity. He is also a Union leader and is always available to resolve issues concerning interests of employees. He was rewarded with a Silver coin for highest production in 1996.4

He is hardworking bynature and his other traits include discipline and co-operation. Vinod Gharat (Bonded Abrasives) Been with GNO since 2nd June, 1990 Vinod has been an integral part of the team for the past 25 years, and made a name for himself as one who is ever-ready to help others. He is known for his systematic approach while arranging the shipping material. Bhalchandra Mhatre (Bonded Abrasives) Been with GNO since 1st August, 1990 Bhalchandra is a Small Wheel press operator. A quality-conscious individual, he has gained a reputation for delivering consistently. Kamalakar Divkar (Bonded Abrasives) Been with GNO since 1st August, 1990 Kamalakar is very co-operative by nature and helps his colleagues whenever they are in need. He has taken special efforts in shipping and has done a commendable job over the years. He takes pride in being associated with GNO for 25 years.5

He is always readyto helps his colleagues. He is proud to be a part of the GNO family. Sanjay Salunke (Bonded Abrasives) Been with GNO since 1st August, 1990 Sanjay is a dressing operator and is known for his uncompromised dedication towards work. He is also one of the most sought after members for any help his colleagues require. Jitendra Morekar (Bonded Abrasives) Been with GNO since 15th September, 1990 Jitendra’s knowledge in the Thick Press is commendable. A hardworking individual, he is also an excellent team player. Pravin Mhatre (Bonded Abrasives) Been with GNO since 15th September, 1990 Pravin works as an operator in the Kiln department. He has a clear thought process which is reflected in all that he does. He has great respect for the organization, for its firm decisions and equal treatment to all.6

His efforts forimproving the Kiln operations deserve special mention. He is a self-motivatedperson and his positive behaviour, hardwork and result oriented approachearned him a staff grade position in the EHS department. Sandeep is a goodtrainer and is always at the forefront for new initiatives and ideas. Sandip Tambat (Bonded Abrasives) Been with GNO since 15th September, 1990 Sandip is a Dressing Operator and is known for his uncompromised dedication towards work. He is also one of the most sought after members for any help his colleagues require. His efforts for improving Small Wheel Press and Die section handling deserve special mention. Shashikant Koli (Bonded Abrasives) Been with GNO since 15th September, 1990 Shashikant is an operator working in the Small Wheel Press. He is always looking for ways to improve productivity in all he does. He is very helpful by nature and has immense respect for the organization. Kashinath Zambare (Bonded Abrasives) Been with GNO since 22nd September, 1990 Kashinath’s dedication to his work is commendable. He is deeply attached to his co-workers and goes great lengths to help them. He rescued 3 people trapped in the BDO well in Uran, and won the Exemplary Achievement Award in 1994. He appreciates GNO’s recognition of employees for their good work.7

He is ever helpful to histeam mates. He is proud to be a part of the GNO family for 25 long years. Kamlakar Langi (Bonded Abrasives) Been with GNO since 15th November, 1990 Kamlakar is always eager to learn new things and find novel ways of doing job-related tasks. He always helps his colleagues whenever they are in need. He is very close to his colleagues at GNO. Kamlakar Patil (Bonded Abrasives) Been with GNO since 15th November, 1990 Kamlakar has always strived for customer satisfaction with his dedicated efforts. He believes in maintaining cordial relationship between the Union and the Management for the welfare of workers. He diligently works for achieving timely production. Sampat Kadam (Bonded Abrasives) Been with GNO since 15th November, 1990 Sampat is part of the Maintenance team and is a hardworking professional. He is a good team player and is proud of the work culture that prevails at GNO.8

He isquality-conscious in his efforts and is committed to client satisfaction. He haswon praise for achieving best quality of Rice Polishing Wheel and BoreCementing Wheel. He likes to play Cricket, Carrom, and practice Yoga during hisfree time.Jagdish Patil (Bonded Abrasives)Been with GNO since 1st December, 1990Jagdish is an expert in the Kiln operations. In the past, due to heavy rains,water started getting accumulated in the Kiln area. Jagdish proactivelysafeguarded the products from getting damaged by blocking the water.Friendly by nature, he readily volunteers for any activity at the plant. Kishore Gharat (Bonded Abrasives) Been with GNO since 1st December, 1990 Kishore is a skilled operator and holds an experience of working on almost all types of machines in Thick Wheel dressing. Manojkumar Kadu (Bonded Abrasives) Been with GNO since 1st December, 1990 Manoj is a second generation GNO employee from the Kadu family. In the past, he was recognized for his efforts in reducing fuel and LPG consumption. Always eager to learn new things, Manoj often goes out of his way to help his colleagues.9

He is always eager to try new things. Prashant Darne (Bonded Abrasives) Been with GNO since 1st December, 1990 Prashant is a mixing Operator and is the second generation employee from his family to work at GNO. He is proud of the fact that GNO helped him in time of need. Shivdas Gharat (Bonded Abrasives) Been with GNO since 1st December, 1990 Shivdas works at the Medium Wheel Press and is diligent at his work. He is proud of his long association with GNO, which is mainly due to the family-like atmosphere that prevails within the company. Balaram Walilkar (Bonded Abrasives) Been with GNO since 28th December, 1990 Balaram is a mixing operator and has sound knowledge of mixing operations. He is a hardworking individual and gels well with his colleagues. A soft-spoken individual, he is extremely focused in his job.10

Home 15 Honoring employees who have completed Long Service YEARS Jagdish Pandey (Mora Central Excise) Been with GNO since 3rd January, 2000 Jagdish is one of the strong pillars of the Indirect Tax function. His in-depth knowledge, especially in Excise and Service Tax, has earned him respect from the tax officials, consultants and team members. He is a very calm and composed professional and can withstand any kind of pressure. Kailas Pawar (Bonded Abrasives) Been with GNO since 10th January, 2000 Kailas started his career in 2000 as a Maintenance Trainee. Over the years, he has successfully handled varied roles and has made commendable progress in his career. He is considered to be an expert when it comes to tooling function. His notable achievements include establishing and stabilizing 3 Maternini presses, implementing SMED on 1200T & 2300T and developing vertical tooling rack for LW and organic tooling area. Manoj Natholia (Credit Control) Been with GNO since 11th February, 2000 Manoj acts as a safety net for the business and has been managing the credit control department effectively. Manoj's proactive nature and ability to foresee difficult situations have earned him respect from his team. He is known for his positive outlook and a great sense of humor.11

Mahadevan (Bonded Abrasives) Been with GNO since 8th March, 2000 VRM, as he is known to all, is admired for his intelligence, meticulousness and sharpness. He is always on the look out for improvement and has in-depth knowledge on finance, management accounting and core accounting. He is credited for independently setting-up the Saint-Gobain Building Distribution (SGBD) activities for the first time in India. Presently, he heads the Bonded business. S. C. Dey (AMG Orient Sales) Been with GNO since 1st August 2000 SCD’s span of knowledge is extremely vast. He is very strategic in his approach and knows the Abrasives market very well. He has defined a clear strategy for Orient and put it on the growth trajectory. He has immensely contributed to Abrasives India’s digital journey, especially for complaint management. Amol Naik (AMG Orient Sales) Been with GNO since 23rd October 2000 In his Sales career, Amol has worked in various capacities at Punjab, Gujarat and Mumbai. A sincere professional, he is committed to building good relationships with customers through uncompromised service.12

Home 15 Honoring employees who have completed Long Service YEARS Amol Kawale (Bonded Abrasives) Been with GNO since 1st May, 2000 Amol spent his initial one year in the Thin Wheels department and then moved to the Bonded department where he has been working for the past 14 years. His suggestions have been awarded in the past and he has played an active role in converting them to Kaizen. In the Bonded 100R machine, he was the one to point out the gap between the liner and the body, which caused cracks in the product. This issue was duly resolved later. Chhatrapati Vaidya (Thin Wheels) Been with GNO since 1st May, 2000 Chhatrapati has made good contribution to the team with his suggestions. He has an interest in social activities and regularly organizes various events and programs in the Grindwell Norton residential colony. He likes playing Volleyball, Cricket & Chess and often listens to old songs. Dinesh Yadav (Thin Wheels) Been with GNO since 1st May, 2000 Dinesh started as an operator in the Thin Wheels department. He is an employee representative and is presently working in the production department. He is fond of playing Cricket in his free time. Girishkumar Wadibhasme (Thin Wheels) Been with GNO since 1st May, 2000 Girishkumar is an operator in the Thin Wheels department and has time and again contributed with his suggestions. In his free time, he likes playing Volleyball, Cards, Carrom and listening to old songs.13

Home 15Honoring employees who have completed Long Service YEARSLiladhar Kanire (Bonded Abrasives)Been with GNO since 1st May, 2000Liladhar started as an operator in the Thin Wheels inspection area. In 2004,he moved to Thin Wheels Press and worked there till 2007. Subsequently, hemoved to the Bonded department. He achieved Best 5S in the machine areaalong with his team, and has thrice been rewarded with Silver coins. He hasgiven many suggestions and has also received gift vouchers and certificates.Munna Rakhade (Thin Wheels)Been with GNO since 1st May, 2000Munna joined as an operator in the Bonded department. However, a monthlater, he moved to the Thin Wheels department. He is always keen on learningnew things. His quality consciousness and sincerity make him countedamongst the good operators.Naresh Wanjari (Maintenance)Been with GNO since 1st May, 2000Naresh has contributed immensely with his invaluable technical suggestionsand has played an active role in converting them into Kaizen. Pramod Kohale (Bonded Abrasives) Been with GNO since 1st May, 2000 Pramod initially joined as an operator in the Thin Wheels department and eventually shifted to the Bonded department in 2011. He has given many suggestions and has played a key role in converting them to Kaizen for which he was awarded 10 Silver coins.14

Home 15Honoring employees who have completed Long Service YEARSPrashant Shende (Bonded Abrasives)Been with GNO since 1st May, 2000Prashant started as an operator in the Coated department, and has beenworking in the Bonded department for the past 3 years. He has contributedwith many suggestions and also won an award for Kaizen implementationduring his days in the Coated department. In the past, he was also elected asthe employees’ representative. He is also actively involved in social work.Santosh Kanojiya (Thin Wheels)Been with GNO since 1st May, 2000Santosh is the second generation employee of GNO from the Kanojiya family.He is a multi-skilled operator in the Thin Wheels department. He consistentlycontributes through his suggestions and is actively involved in theirimplementation. Sunil Nehare (Bonded Abrasives) Been with GNO since 1st May, 2000 Sunil worked as an operator in the Coated department for the first 12 years, and subsequently moved to the Bonded department. He is proactive in giving suggestions and has played a key role in converting them into Kaizen. In the past, he has been rewarded with a Silver coin and a Certificate for Kaizen. Vinod Behare (Bonded Abrasives) Been with GNO since 1st May, 2000 Vinod is a multi-skilled operator in the Bonded department. He has contributed to the team with numerous suggestions and has played an active role in converting them to Kaizen. Vinod's performance has earned him the 'Man of the Month' Award for Best 5S in the past.15

Home 15 Honoring employees who have completed Long Service YEARS Sanjay Lakhe (Bonded Abrasives) Been with GNO since 1st June, 2000 Sanjay is an operator in the Bonded department. He contributes in enhancing the operations by giving suggestions and is actively involved in their implementation. His contribution in improving the feeder by changing scrapper blade has been commendable. He also initiated resolution of an oil leakage concern. Shrikant Gajarlwar (Thin Wheels) Been with GNO since 1st June, 2000 Shrikant is an operator in the Thin Wheels department. He contributes in enhancing the operations by giving suggestions and is actively involved in their implementation. One such example is when the linear machine had no crusher. He helped install a proxy (electrical part) which would automatically lock during any activity on the crusher.16
