Our Motto \"Be the change you want to see in the world\" -Mahatma Gandhi That is how the Google Developer Student Clubs (GDSC) was established in Dr. Lankapalli Bullayya College of Engineering. The main motto of GDSC LBCE is to give opportunities to students to develop, succeed and reach great heights. GDSC LBCE not only helps you understand technical concepts, but it also introduces you to a different version of yourself. This not only adds a page to your resume, but also addsup as a book in your life. 3

GDSC LEAD 2021-22 Diksha Patro B, The leader who initiated this GDSC community in LBCE college. She was extremely dedicated to developing this community and made it reach great heights. Her guidelines encouraged the whole team to build this community together. 5

How Core Team was recruited? It all started with a google form to grab a chance for every person to become a Core team member or Core team lead. Our Main Lead, Diksha, sent a google form to every class group to know who was interested and what value they can add to the core team of GDSC LBCE. In that form, we were asked to fill in our details and the team we want to be a part of. Our teams, the Dev Team, Content Team, Event Management Team, Marketing Team, and Operations Team are individually taken into consideration and are provided with tasks related to each team for the recruiting. Here our skills like team management, creativity, intelligence, timeliness, and so on are judged wherever posts are needed. A single student can apply to various posts and each student is judged equally without any bias. After a few days, everyone who participated got a mail of whether they are selected for round 2 of the recruitment process, which is the interview process. 6

This whole process is taken care of with significant supervision by GDSC lead Diksha and thoroughly studied by every particular core team member with eminent carefulness to make sure we get the best team to work for GDSC. Well after the interview was held individually, each student who entered the interview process got separate emails for the final results. This process is done very peacefully without any quarrels or fraudulent and everyone welcomed the whole process as it was simple and transparent. 7

ORIENTATION CEREMONY On 31st August 2021, We held a meeting for approximately 1 and 1/2 hours. To begin the meeting, we provided a preface about what a developer club is, the benefits of the club, the new things we will learn, and so on. And we also introduced our campus faculty advisor, Dr. D. Madhavi ma'am, The HOD of the Computer Science Department. We started by introducing our GDSC LBCE lead Diksha Patro. B and about the teams newly formed The Dev team, the Content team, the Operations team, the Marketing team, and the Event Management team, our five teams. Finally, we concluded our first meeting by introducing our core team members and the teams to which they have been assigned. 27

#30 Days of Google Cloud On 1st October 2021, The 30 days of Google cloud was planned to last one month, from September 27th to October 27th. Diksha explained that we would receive a mail for completing the labs and badges can be earned. The members who attended the meeting interacted, and hence it was a productive meeting. Because it was our first task, we were all excited and nervous at the same time, but our leader made sure to assist us in any way she could. We were shown how to get the badges and how to complete the cloud tasks that were ongoing at the point. Most of us followed the advice given to us during the JAM session, and we have seen the results. The majority of our GDSC members completed both tracks of the Google Cloud and were awarded virtual badges as well as cool Google goodies. The first task inspired us to complete more tasks of this nature. 28

HACKTOBERFEST Every October, DigitalOcean shows its appreciation for the open source community by hosting Hacktoberfest, a month-long event in which developers of all skill levels volunteer their time to support open source projects. Developers all over the world rely on the open source community to keep projects running. The goal of Hacktoberfest is to give back to the developer community by assisting in the maintenance of important open source projects. Achsah and Ujwala from our Dev team explained this simply and subtly. They performed admirably in this session, even though it was their first exposure to the Hacktoberfest. We even discussed GitHub and the Git repositories. 29

Workshop Series GAME DEVELOPMENT! Everybody enjoys playing games! But do we understand how the games are created? How much work goes into creating a successful game? Through this session, we have learned more about game production and the amount of labour required to create a game using technology. We enjoyed a wholesome 2- day session during which we learned a lot about the creation of video games. Mr. Shantanu, a software developer at Schlumberger, spoke at the 2-day session on November 20th and 21st, 2021. He has provided a lot of details about a game's software development. 30

GET TO KNOW ABOUT BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY ! One of our core team members previously talked about Blockchain Technology during our first offline accelerator. We learned more in-depth information about blockchain technology in this workshop from Timeswap specialist Mr. Kumar Satyarth. He didn't just talk about blockchain technology; he also covered topics like cryptocurrencies and the distinction between centralization and decentralization. The dates of this session were November 22 and 23, 2021. 31

LET’S LEARN ABOUT UI & UX Mr. Rahul Rao from Makemytrip was our guest speaker on November 25th and 26th, explaining the importance of UI and UX. We all know that UI and UX are used in web design, but do you know that despite being two distinct aspects of web design, they work in tandem? Many of us enjoy designing and have some hidden talent for it, but we don't know the right path to take or the appropriate application to use. However, in this session, we learned how to deal with it and how to use it properly and easily. This session was extremely beneficial and enjoyable, as we learned a lot about designing. 32

INTRODUCTION TO ANDROID STUDY JAM Google Developer Student Clubs (GDSC) chapters around the world and in India host Android Study Jams to train a new generation of student Android developers. The program's goal is to assist student developers in developing their careers and putting them on a solid path to earning an Associate Android Developers Certification. On November 28th, 2021, Vamsi, one of our core team members, represented GDSC LBCE as the facilitator of Android Study Jams. He has done an outstanding job as a facilitator. Despite the fact that it was his first time as a facilitator, he had aced it. He addressed the topic of Android Study Jam and explained it in a very professional manner. Because it was the first session for the Android Study Jam, we learned what it is and how to deal with it from our facilitator, among other things. We learned about the Android Study Jam's architecture as well as the rewards we will receive when we complete our Android Study Jam course completely. 33

CHALLENGES TO COMPLETE ASJ We had a briefing session about the challenges we needed to complete on December 1st, 2021. And as we complete a challenge, we will earn badges in addition to the challenge. Doing the challenges had become much more enjoyable as we were learning about the Android Study Jam prior to the challenges. The facilitator had perfectly explained everything and was extremely helpful to the team whenever they needed it. Doing the Android Study Jam has given me a lot of knowledge about Android and other tech topics. It was a fantastic learning opportunity. 34
