Nature Trial visit to Vishnubauug an Environment Theme Park Nature‘s Club has organized Nature‘s Trial a visit to Vishnubauug- Environment Theme Park on 12th March, 2019 with an objective to bring students close towards the nature and to make them sensitize towards it. To conserve nature it is very important to make students aware about the importance of Nature and this was fulfilled in Vishnubauug. The students got exposure to differents types of medicinal plants, species and other useful trees, shrubs and grasses and its usefullness. 91
Placement Cell 2018-19 The main objective of Placement cell is to provide personal and career related support to the students with special emphasis on training the students on employability skills and ultimately provide placement in various Industries/Organizations by arranging campus recruitment drives. Every year Placement Cell arranges various activities such as pre-placement seminar, placement drive as well as informs students about vacancies in various organizations. Four of our students are appointed as a teacher in various branches of Bharat Friend‘s Association. On 27th August, 2018 our students has attended placement drive by Wipro in VIVA College. Placement Cell has provided Internship by CMS IT training institute to the B.Sc. (C.S.) & B.Sc.(I.T.) students in the month of September. On 5th January, 2019 13 students has attended placement drive by CAPGEMINI at Ramniranjan Jhunjhunwala College. On 25th January, 2019 Aptitude Test by NIIT was organized for all the students to improve their performance at interviews. On 29th January, 2019 campus Drive by ICICI Bank in Collaboration with NIIT was organized for the final year students from which 20 students were selected. Final Interview to be undertaken after declaration of their results. On 6th February, 2019 Placement Cell has arranged workshop on CV Preparation and tips to crack HR Interview. On 20th February, 2019 Placement Drive by 4g Infosource was organized for the final year B.M.S. & B.Com. students. 30 students participated in the drive. On 20th March, 2019 online test by TeknoSIM Training Services was conducted for the final year B.M.S. & B.Com. Out of 26 students 23 students were cleared the online test. HR interview for the shortlisted students will be conducted after declaration of results of final year. Plantomenia The idea behind Plantomenia is to bring awareness in the society. The message was conveyed to the people regarding green environment in Badlapur vicinity. Every year in rainy season we plant several saplings and we feel very proud but after some days we are least bother about those saplings. Through Plantomenia we had created interest among the people towards the plant. In this Mega Activity of the college we invited Chief Guest Mr. Chandrakant Yashwant Shelke (Range Forest Officer, Badlapur) Mr. Marcos D‘silva forest Guard and team. Aashish Jadhav for Swachta Abhiyan and Guest of honor as Mr. Vijay Yashwant Kadam, solid Waste Management (Mahanagar Palika Officer) The event was graced by Mr.Nitin Mahajan (President of Rotary club, Badlapur Industrial Area) and Mr. Rajeev Deewan (Public Realation Officer of Rotary club of Badlapur, Industrial Area) and Marathi T.V. serial Actor. We had bifurcated the plants in 11 categories. Students had come up with different innovative ideas, which inspired our Guest and the visitors. Value Added Course Certified GST plus Tally course With a motive to promote practical education training on accounts and taxation for students of B.com and BMS, the Bharat College of arts and commerce has started certified GST plus tally course for B.com and BMS students, by signing memo with Satyam Institute of Tax Accountant. This is one of the well known institutes which run such programs in Degree College from last 8 years in Mumbai.
