MOSQUE AL-BADR THOUSAND SELAWAT, PANGKOR ISLAND Pangkor Island is one of the famous tourist centers in Malaysia. Thus, the construction of this mosque was the brainchild of the discussion between the former Menteri Besar of Perak, YB Dato' Seri DiRaja Dr. Zambry bin Abd.Kadir is also a member of the Pangkor State Legislative Assembly together with Datuk Abdul Latiff Mirasa and experts and officials from the Restu Foundation who want to build an iconic mosque for the local Muslim community in Teluk Gedong, Pangkor Island. In addition, this idea is also seen as an effort to attract domestic and foreign visitors to see for themselves the uniqueness of the mosque with the concept of 1,000 prayers as its interior decoration. This mosque was first built on 7 March 2014 under the supervision of the Manjung District Office. While the calligraphy found in this mosque has been confirmed by the Department of Islamic Religion and the State Mufti Department of Perak. The allocation is channeled from the Federal Government through the Implementation Coordination Unit, Prime Minister's Department (ICU JPM), Perak State Economic Planning Unit and the Office of the Perak Chief Minister.
