The term sports doesn\u2019t mean physical exertion alone but is an amalgamation of team work, self-control, mental robustness and physical fitness. Couple of months back when the school management made the announcement about the Annual Sports Day, a wave of excitement hit us all. I being the Sports Captain of the school could not ask for a better ending to the year 2022! In the run up to the D-Day, last two months have been exhilarating and laborious, all at the same time. However, the fruit of hard work is always sweet and that is precisely what we Vishwa Bharatians experienced on the December 24th. However, throughout these two months we all have been consistent with our practice for Pravah \u2013 the mega annual event. I had butterflies running in my stomach on the breezy winter morning of the Sports Day. The responsibility of conducting the show made me a little nervous but I soon overcame my feelings as I watched every other student brimming with pride and excitement. Then I happened to spot my mother seated in the front row and the smile on her face boosted my confidence. She was visibly proud of me and her vibes motivated me to give my best shot, which I did. Soon, the empty seats filled up with proud parents and in a few minutes Chief Guests arrived. After the welcome speech, I along with other athletes walked right in front of the esteemed guests with the torch. As they lit the torch that I held in my hand, I was overcome with fervor and zest. Then as I proceeded to run down the track with the torch. One of the most memorable moments arrived when I was introduced to the cheering crowd as the Sports Captain of the school. Once the torch was respectfully placed, the event opened to a thrilling performance by the tiny tots and then one after the other students spelled magic with their sports and cultural performances. The performances enthralled the audience and I was filled with a sense of pride as the leader of the tribe. One of the most important lessons, which I learnt that day was that a leader has to be impartial and show no bias towards any one sportsperson or house while leading the tribe. Besides, I also learned to keep calm amid the storm. Overall, the sports day taught me about discipline, leadership and gratitude. I will cherish the memories of this eventful day with a sense of pride about the small contribution that I made as the Sports Captain. I promise to carry forward the lessons learnt to stride ahead in my everyday life. After all, a true leader is the one who leads by example and I want to be remembered for my integrity and ethics. Aadhrit Mattoo 7th","On the 24th of December, our school had its Annual Sports Day after two years. We enjoyed ourselves and had a lot of fun. We had dances expressing the cultural diversity of our country. We also had athletes from different-different states who also participated in the races. On sports day we had torch lighting ceremony symbolizing manifestation of the positive. After that, we took oath symbolizing that till this event continues we will have fair play. It was an auspicious day. The races that undertook in the event from classes Third to Eighth were races between the houses. I was in a 200-meter race that was held between classes seventh and eighth girls. I gave my best to secure 1st position. As the head girl, my duty was to catch the winners of the races and help them to stand on the podium and to have an account of all the track duties that were done by our athletes. The day was amazing. Then we had the grand finale on the theme ' UNITY IN DIVERSITY '. Our day ended with the best house award which was given to Sundaram house which won overall nine medals. The day on a scale of 1 to 10 was 11. I would love to have this kind of function again. Priyanshi sinisnwar 7th On 11th November Plant a tree activity was organised by the class teacher. I took a tulsi plant to the school. Being human we feel good to see growing life in front of us. We should contribute to enhance the strength of our environment. It will be fruitful for our next generation. I am always excited for this kind of activities which makes our environment better. I took the sacred plant -Tulsi to the school. Mainly Tulsi plant is used for worship. It is commonly known as Holy Basin. The smell of Tulsi Plant is like a Lemon. It improves digestion system. Tulsi is also used for making medicine. I had fun in planting it with my own hands. Everyday I think about how much it has grown. Planting more plant means having happy future. -Aaradhya Mishra 2A Our school organized planetarium show in association with \\\"Leo Planetaria\\\" on 25, November 2022. I also registered for the program and was very excited to attend it. A small tent was set up in the school premises and a short movie explaining various phases of moon was shown to us. The changes in the shape of moon according to some festivals was also told. In the end of the program, students were asked questions and those students who gave correct answers were awarded prizes. At the school I participated in Diya \/Candle decoration Activity held on 17th October. I packed the material needed a night before the activity. The competition had many rules like we have to complete it in 60 min, Using bright colours and provided space. The competition was very healthy since every house was looking into each other\u2019s rangoli and trying to produce their best result. Our house incharge also supported us and said that the main motive was to make rangoli immaculate. Aaradhya Dagar 7th","Health Talk Workshop On 18 November, Kailash Group of Hospitals organised a Workshop on the Awareness of Adolescence Health and Hygiene in our school. It was conducted by Dr. Manisha Saxena. It was attended by the girls of classes 6-8 and their mothers. In this workshop we discussed about how we need to take care of ourselves, eating habits and fitness, and myths and facts related to the topic. At the end of the workshop, we had a question-and-answer session with Dr. Manisha as many of my friends had doubts and confusions. The mothers of the girls also asked questions. We were into a half spherical tent in which a projector displayed a video which was so realistic! As soon as everyone was settled, the light goes off, in the pitch of darkness, the Solar Show started emanating from the projector, the all white dome ceiling turned off into an open dark twinkling sky and things started to appear in various shapes, sizes and streaks, minutes after minutes. I was feeling like I was in outer space! The video was of about 40 minutes duration, but gave a memorable moment for my whole life! In future, if I get a chance, I would surely like to experience those 40 minutes again. I was very excited to attend this event, but I did not know what to expect from the event. It came as a pleasant surprise for me when I attended it. In Planetarium, they told and explained everything about the pole stars and then they explained how to find them. They also showed different constellations like big dipper Ursa Major and small dipper Ursa Minor. They also showed how to find the Pole Stars with the help of big dipper and small dipper according to the directions like North, South, East and West. After that there was an amazing story about Constellations which I liked very much. I enjoyed this Planetarium a lot with my friends. It was a great experience to see that amazing and informative show. Vihaan Sharma 4B THE TREASURE HUNT EXPERIENCE The library is a place of learning and knowledge, and treasure hunts introduces us to the library and its resources. The activity given us reflects the learning of new books and find the way to engage student\u2019s \u2013 THE TREASURE HUNT activity. In this activity, our library ma\u2019am has arranged a treasure hunt and we have to work in a team of two. We were given the clue to find the book of \u201cSudha Murti\u201dand we found the book in a really less time. After that, we wrote the name of the book in the task paper and showed both the book and the paper to ma\u2019am.
