‫למידה מבוססת פרויקטים‬ ‫למידה מבוססת פרויקטים (‪ )PBL‬מתייחסת לתלמידים המעצבים‪ ,‬מתכננים ומבצעים‬ ‫פרויקט מורחב‪ ,‬המוביל ליצירת תוצר המוצג בפני קהל (תוצר זה יכול להיות מוצר‪,‬‬ ‫חומר כתוב‪ ,‬הצגה או ריקוד וכד')‪ .‬הלמידה בדרך זו קשורה ל\"למידה מבוססת‪-‬חקר\"‬ ‫(‪ ,)inquiry-based learning‬הנקראת גם \"למידת‪-‬חקר\" או \"למידה מבוססת‪-‬‬ ‫אתגר\" (‪ .)problem-based learning‬המאפיין המייחד אותה הוא תהליך עבודה המביא‬ ‫ליצירת תוצר סופי המוצג באירוע מסכם‪ ,‬בהשתתפות קהל‪ .‬חשוב להדגיש כי‬ ‫בלמידה זו לא התוצר הוא במרכז‪ ,‬כפי שקורה בלמידה מבוססת‪-‬תוצר (‪product-‬‬ ‫‪ )based learning‬אלא תהליך הלמידה‪ ,‬הדרך אותה עוברים הלומדים‪.‬‬ ‫בחרנו להתמקד בלמידה מבוססת‪-‬פרויקטים משום שהיא מזמנת לתלמידים חוויה של‬ ‫חקר משמעותי‪ ,‬המשלב מספר דיסציפלינות ותחומי ידע מגוונים ושונים‪ .‬בנוסף‪ ,‬דרך‬ ‫למידה זו מאפשרת לתלמידים להיות אקטיביים בלמידה‪ ,‬לקחת אחריות על הלמידה‬ ‫שלהם ולהתנסות במגוון מיומנויות תוך עבודה על סוגי אינטליגנציות שונות המאפשרות‬ ‫לכל תלמיד ותלמידה התפתחות אקדמית‪ ,‬רגשית וערכית‪.‬‬ ‫‪[email protected] | www.zarkor.org‬‬

‫שכר לימוד דיפרנציאלי‪/‬מסובסד‬ ‫זרקור הינו ארגון ללא מטרות רווח אשר חרט על דגלו שוויון הזדמנויות למצוינות‪ .‬על‬ ‫מנת ליצור נגישות לכל ילד בישראל‪ ,‬בית ספר זרקור בחר להשתמש במודל חדשני‬ ‫ופורץ דרך לחישוב שכר הלימוד בצורה דיפרנציאלית המותאמת ליכולות של כל משפחה‬ ‫ומשפחה‪ .‬מודל זה מתאפשר הודות לקרן התמיכה הנדיבה שלנו שבזכותה כיסוי ההוצאות‬ ‫התפעוליות של בית הספר אינו נשען אך ורק על שכר הלימוד‪.‬‬ ‫אנחנו מאמינים כי עלותו של חינוך מצוין לא תהווה מכשול לאף משפחה ללא קשר‬ ‫להכנסתה‪ .‬תקוותנו היא להפוך את היתרונות של זרקור‪ :‬כיתות קטנות‪ ,‬תוכנית‬ ‫לימודית דו לשונית (עברית‪/‬אנגלית) ברמה בינלאומית גבוהה‪ 5 ,‬ימי לימוד ותוכנית העשרה‬ ‫מגוונת ‪ -‬למציאות עבור כמה שיותר תלמידים אשר ימצאו מתאימים‪.‬‬ ‫איך זה עובד?‬ ‫מודל שכר הלימוד הדיפרנציאלי של זרקור מבוסס על העיקרון בו שכר הלימוד של כל‬ ‫תלמיד‪/‬ה בבית הספר צריך להיות מותאם למשאבים הכלכליים של המשפחה שלו‪/‬ה‪.‬‬ ‫שכר הלימוד הדיפרנציאלי מחושב פעם בשנה לפי אחוז יחסי (שווה לכל משפחה)‬ ‫מהכנסות הברוטו של המשפחה‪ .‬על משפחות אשר מעוניינות בשכר לימוד דיפרנציאלי‬ ‫להגיש בקשת סבסוד (הבקשה זהה לכולם)‪ ,‬כחלק מתהליך הרישום ובכך לאפשר את‬ ‫חישוב שכר הלימוד של ילדם‪/‬ילדתם בצורה מותאמת ליכולות הכלכליות שלהם‪.‬‬ ‫כיצד מחושב שכר הלימוד הדיפרנציאלי של כל תלמיד‪/‬ה?‬ ‫כדי לקבוע את שכר הלימוד החודשי (‪ 12‬תשלומים חודשיים בשנה)‪ ,‬זרקור יבחן את‬ ‫ההכנסה ברוטו של משפחתכם מכל מקורות ההכנסה שלכם‪ .‬שכר הלימוד החודשי‬ ‫מחושב לפי הנוסחה הבאה‪ :‬הכנסה שנתית ברוטו של המשפחה מכל המקורות מינוס‬ ‫הנחה של ‪ 30‬אלף ש״ח למשפחה חלקי מספר הנפשות במשפחה‪ ,‬כפול ‪ .3%‬ההנחה‬ ‫שבנוסחה תזוכה באופן אוטומטי מחישוב שכר הלימוד של כל משפחה כדי להפוך את‬ ‫בית הספר לנגיש עוד יותר‪ .‬הנוסחה זהה לכל המשפחות ללא קשר למצבן הסוציו‪-‬‬ ‫אקונומי‪.‬‬ ‫שכר הלימוד המינימלי הינו ‪ 1,000‬שקלים לחודש למשפחה במידה ושני ההורים‬ ‫משתכרים‪.‬‬ ‫במצב בו אחד מבני הזוג אינו עובד מבחירה ואינו מקבל סיוע מהמדינה‪ ,‬שכ\"ל המינימלי‬ ‫יעמוד על ‪ 2,500‬שקלים לחודש‪.‬‬ ‫משפחות יכולות לבחור שלא להגיש את טופס הבקשה לשכר הלימוד המסובסד‬ ‫על ידי חתימה על ויתור במקום המיועד לכך בטופס ההרשמה‪ .‬בעשותן כך המשפחות‬ ‫מתחייבות לשלם את שכר לימוד השנתי המלא (המכסה את עלות התלמיד לזרקור)‬ ‫שהוא בר השוואה לשכר הלימוד בבתי ספר באיכות דומה בעולם‪.‬‬ ‫דרך המגשימים ‪ 18‬מושב בית חנן | ‪03-7901855‬‬

‫צוות זרקור‬ ‫ד״ר מיכאל פרידמן החל את דרכו המקצועית כפסנתרן מופיע‬ ‫ד״ר מיכאל פרידמן‪,‬‬ ‫ומחנך מוזיקלי‪ .‬הוא בעל תואר ראשון (‪ )B.A‬ותואר שני (‪)M.A‬‬ ‫מייסד ומנהל בית הספר‬ ‫באומניות הביצוע ובעל תואר אומן מהאקדמיה למוזיקה בירושלים‬ ‫והאקדמיה למוזיקה בתל אביב‪ .‬לאחר שזכה בתחרות ״האמן הצעיר״‬ ‫היוקרתית‪ ,‬והופיע עם התזמורת הסימפונית ירושלים ד״ר‬ ‫פרידמן הוזמן להופיע בניו יורק‪ ,‬ולהשלים את לימודי הדוקטורט שלו‬ ‫באוניברסיטת ניו יורק‪ .‬שם הפך בהמשך לחבר בסגל ההוראה‪.‬‬ ‫במהלך שהותו באוניברסיטת ניו יורק ד״ר פרידמן עבד גם כדובר‬ ‫בקונסוליה הישראלית בניו יורק‪ .‬לאחר מספר שנים בארה״ב החליט‬ ‫ד״ר פרידמן לשנות כיוון‪ ,‬ולהצטרף לעולם העסקים‪ .‬לשם כך סיים‬ ‫תואר שני במנהל עסקים (‪ )MBA‬באוניברסיטת קולומביה‪ .‬הוא ייסד‬ ‫חברה בינלאומית בתחום הביוטכנולוגיה‪ ,‬שעם הזמן תרמה תרומה‬ ‫משמעותית לתחום האבחון הרפואי בעולם‪ .‬ד״ר פרידמן תמיד חיפש‬ ‫דרכים משמעותיות לתרום למדינת ישראל‪ ,‬ולפיכך כעבור עשור‬ ‫החליט לצאת מפעילותו העסקית‪ ,‬לחזור לישראל‪ ,‬ולהשקיע את רוב‬ ‫מרצו וזמנו ביצירת מציאות חדשה בתחום החינוך בישראל‪.‬‬ ‫ד״ר פרידמן דובר ארבע שפות‪ :‬עברית‪ ,‬אנגלית‪ ,‬רוסית וצרפתית‪,‬‬ ‫וגר עם משפחתו בתל אביב‪.‬‬ ‫מעין צ׳יפרוט הקדישה את כל חייה המקצועיים לחינוך‪ .‬מאמינה‬ ‫מעין צ’יפרוט‪,‬‬ ‫שחינוך הינו הדרך לתיקון עולם‪ ,‬ליצירת חברה בריאה‪ ,‬יוצרת ומושתתת‬ ‫מנהלת חינוכית‬ ‫על דו‪-‬שיח‪ ,‬ולהשפעה אישית על האדם עולם שלם העומד בפני עצמו‪.‬‬ ‫מעין החלה את דרכה כמורה בבית ספר קשת בירושלים בית ספר‬ ‫המשלב ילדים דתיים וחילוניים‪ .‬לאחר מכן זכתה להיות שותפה בהקמת‬ ‫תיכון יחד במודיעין‪ ,‬לעיצוב דמותו החינוכית ‪ -‬קהילתית וכתיבת תכניות‬ ‫הלימודים הייחודיות לבית הספר‪ .‬בתום ‪ 15‬שנים בהוראה ועשיה בבתי‬ ‫ספר‪ ,‬יצאה לחפש מרחבי השפעה חדשים לאחר שנה במטה משרד‬ ‫החינוך בכתיבת תכניות לימודים‪ ,‬עברה לעבוד במכון לחינוך דמוקרטי‪,‬‬ ‫שם ניהלה את תכנית חלוץ חינוכי‪ ,‬תכנית לפיתוח מנהיגות חינוכית‬ ‫בפריפריה החברתית של ישראל‪ .‬ליוותה בתי ספר‪ ,‬מנהלים ומורים‬ ‫בהתחדשות חינוכית הכשרת צוותי הוראה והתאמת מערכת החינוך‬ ‫לעידן הנוכחי‪.‬‬ ‫מעין קיבלה על עצמה את הובלת החינוך של זרקור בקיץ ‪ 2020‬והיא‬ ‫נרגשת לבצע תפקיד זה שמהווה קרקע פורייה לעשיה חינוכית‬ ‫ולהתנסות שתשפיע על חיי הילדים מעין מתגוררת במודיעין עם בעלה‬ ‫וארבעת ילדיה‪.‬‬ ‫ליאור מזרחי היא מורה ומחנכת בעלת ניסיון של שנים רבות‪ .‬הרקע‬ ‫ליאור מזרחי‪,‬‬ ‫האקדמי שלה כולל תואר ראשון ושני בהוראה מאוניברסיטת סידני‪,‬‬ ‫סגנית מנהלת חינוכית‬ ‫לימודי תעודה בבריאות הילד באוניברסיטת מלבורן ובימים אלה היא‬ ‫משלימה את עבודה התזה כחלק מלימודי תואר שני בחינוך במסלול‬ ‫לניהול ומנהיגות‪ .‬ליאור לימדה במספר בתי ספר בסידני ועלתה לארץ‬ ‫עם משפחתה לפני מספר שנים‪.‬‬ ‫ליאור עובדת בזרקור‪ ,‬והייתה שותפה לצוות ההקמה שייסד את‬ ‫בית הספר‪ .‬בתפקידים השונים ליאור הובילה וכתבה חלקים ניכרים‬ ‫מתוכנית הלימודים הייחודית‪ .‬כיום משמשת ליאור כסגנית מנהלת בית‬ ‫הספר ומובילה את תחום לימודי האנגלית‪.‬‬ ‫דרך המגשימים ‪ 18‬מושב בית חנן | ‪03-7901855‬‬

Efrat Greenberg, Dr. Efrat Greenberg is an expert education psychologist. She School Psychologist has a PhD in reading disabilities and has a wide range of experience in assessing and treating children and young people. She has worked through the years with many educational psychology networks. Efrat works in psychological consultation and training for parents and teachers. She is a member of the Centre for Caring and Attentive Education, through which she mentors teachers and carers in mindfulness and compassion. Efrat believes that it is possible to find and cultivate the good in each child and believes in the enormous influence that each of us – parents, teachers and therapists – can have on the social and emotional development of the child. Lior Misrachi, Lior is a teacher and educator with many years of experience. Associate Principal Her academic qualifications include a B.A and an Mteach from the University of Sydney, a graduate certificate of adolescent health and wellbeing from the University of Melbourne and she is currently completing her thesis as part of her Masters of Education in Leadership and Management from the University of Newcastle. Lior taught in a number of Jewish day schools in Sydney before making Aliyah with her family some years ago. Lior is one of the founding faculty members of Zarkor. Lior has filled a number of different roles at the school and as part of these roles she led and wrote many aspects of the school’s unique educational curriculum. Today she is one of the Associate Principals and leads the English program. Hila Mizrahi, Hila Mizrahi has worked in educational and leadership roles Associate Principal most of her life. She served as an officer and commander in the army and worked in El Al security abroad. She has B.A in creative education and an M.A in Visual Literacy though Seminar Hakibutzim. At the completion of her studies, Hila worked as a class teacher for First and Second Grade and the technology coordinator at a school in Tel Aviv. Hila joined Zarkor as part of the founding faculty, and simultaneously specialised in the Montessori methodology. Hila taught 1st and 3rd grades, led and developed significant aspects of the educational content in these grades and additionally coordinated STEM and 3rd grade. Today Hila is one of the Associate Principals and leads the Hebrew program. Zipi Klebaner, Zipi Klebaner, married, a mother of 5 with two School Counselor granddaughters is an experienced and esteemed educator. She began her educational journey as a high school teacher, continued to complete a Masters in school counseling and worked as a school counselor for a number of years. Thereafter she completed a leadership course for principals and began working as a principal in a number of schools over 10 years. Currently, Zipi has decided to return to counseling in order to develop and nurture the strengths that exist in each student. ZARKOR STAFF Michael Friedman, Dr. Friedman started his professional career as a concert MBA, Ph.D. Founder pianist and music educator. He received his BA, MA and and Head of School Artistic Diploma from the Jerusalem and Tel Aviv Music Academies. After winning the prestigious Young Artist Competition and a performance with Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, he was invited to perform in New York and to complete his Ph.D. at New York University, where he later became an Adjunct Faculty member. During his tenure at the NYU, Dr. Friedman also worked as a spokesman for the Israeli Consulate in New York. After a few years in the United States, he decided to change directions andenter the world of business, receiving an MBA from Columbia University and founding an international biotechnology company that, in time, made a significant contribution to the field of medical diagnostics worldwide. Always looking for a meaningful way to contribute to the state of Israel, Dr. Friedman exited his business after ten years in order to return to Israel and devote his full time and energy to the Zarkor project. Dr. Friedman is fluent in Hebrew, English, Russian and French and lives with his family in Tel Aviv. Maayan Chiprut’s entire professional life has been dedicated to education, which she sees as a critical tool for creating a society based on cooperation and dialogue. She started her journey as a teacher at the Keshet School in Jerusalem, which integrates religious and secular students, and where she taught for 8 years. She subsequently had the opportunity to be a part of establishing a new high school in Modi’in, helping to craft its unique curriculum and social program. This program integrated pluralism with leadership and was a great success. After 15 years of teaching, Maayan Chiprut, Maayan set out to make her mark in education via a different Educational Principal path – from teaching children to training future educators. After a year drafting curricula in the Ministry of Education, she moved on to the Democratic Education Institute, which develops educational programs to create meaningful social change. There, she ran a pioneer program cultivating educational leadership in the geographical and social outskirts of Israel. In that capacity, she assisted principals and teachers in revising their curricula and updating their educational approaches. She is thrilled to be leading Zarkor’s educational program, which she believes is a fertile ground for excellence and for cultivating the Israeli citizens of the future. Maayan holds a BA in humanities from Bar Ilan University, a teaching certification from David Yellin College, and two M.A. degrees, also from Bar Ilan, one in Political Studies and Communication and one in Educational Leadership. DIFFERENTIATED/SUBSIDISED TUITION Zarkor is a non-profit organization whose vision is to build an excellent school that will serve as a model of advanced education, accessible to all Israelis, regardless of socio-economic background. We have pioneered an innovative, differential tuition model that offers our families tuition that is based on family income. The strength of our program is that our operating expenses are not based solely on tuition but also on the development of a generous endowment and other fundraising sources. We believe that the cost of an excellent education should not be a roadblock to any family, regardless of income. Our hope is to make the advantages of a Zarkor education - small class sizes, high level bilingual English/Hebrew instruction, student-centered learning, and robust enrichment programs - a reality for as many students as possible. Families wishing to be considered for subsidised tuition must apply during the enrollment process to help us objectively calculate their optimal financial contribution to their children’s education. In order to determine a family’s annual tuition, Zarkor evaluates household income and assets, as well as family size. How Does It Work? Zarkor’s differential/subsidised tuition model is based on the principle that a family’s financial commitment to the school should be in equitable proportion to its financial resources. The same supporting financial information is asked of all parents requesting Zarkor’s subsidy. Families complete an application for subsidised tuition to determine their contractual fee for the coming school year. How Is Each Child’s Fee Calculated? To determine monthly tuition (12 monthly payments per year), Zarkor looks at the family’s gross income from all income sources. The monthly tuition is calculated according to the following formula: Gross annual income from all sources minus NIS 30,000, divided by the number of people in the family, multiplied by 3%. The built-in discount in the formula is automatically deducted within each family’s tuition calculation to make the school even more accessible. This formula is the same for all families regardless of their socioeconomic status. Families who choose not to request subsidised tuition from Zarkor can sign a waiver on the enrollment application. By doing so, families agree to pay the full annual tuition, which covers the cost of a student to Zarkor and is comparable to the tuition of similar-quality schools abroad. Project based learning Project based learning (PBL) is a student-centred pedagogy whereby the children design, plan, and execute a multi-faceted project that culminates in the creation of an outcome. The outcome, which can be a product, written material, play, dance, etc is ultimately presented to an audience. PBL instruction is connected to inquiry-based learning. The unique characteristic of inquiry-based learning is that it is a work process that leads to a creation of an outcome that is presented in a way that celebrates both the process and the outcome to an audience. It is important to emphasize that the central feature of this kind of learning is not just the out- come, but rather the learning process that the children experience. We chose to focus on project-based learning method because it gives the students the opportunity to experience meaningful inquiry across multiple disciplines and knowledge areas. Judaism with a pluralistic approach Zarkor’s Judaic Studies curriculum is equally instructive to students coming from religious and non-religious families, providing all students with a deep knowledge of Judaism and respecting rather than dictating its practice.
