… Amanda Booth is a student teacher of choral education from Northern Arizona University. She is a graduate of Mountain View High School in Mesa where she participated all four years in choir, including the Regional and All-State choirs. She then began school at NAU where she enjoyed studying voice with Professor Christine Graham, singing in the Shrine of the Ages choir and Jacks on Broadway student organization. When not singing, she enjoys playing the piano, spending time with her fiancé, or playing games with her family. I have absolutely loved my time here at Mesquite!! It has been a joy to learn from and work with your students. Amidst the change of learning schedules, reminders to pull their masks up, and being surprised every single time I saw their full face, we have been able to make some beautiful music. I am amazed at how much growth I have seen from them in my 8 weeks here. Your students are resilient, hardworking, silly, and fantastic examples of how to survive and thrive in difficult situations. Patricia Ubrig has been a music educator in Arizona for 32 years. This is my 13th year at Mesquite High School. I love spending my days with these musicians! There is such a great sense of accomplishment once we get to the performance! Students have spent many hours refining their artistry so that they can present their BEST! They make me very proud to be their teacher! What a gift it is to be able to enjoy your days with such amazing young people! I feel certain this is why I have stayed in this job for 32 years! The emotions and memories that we create have filled my heart to overflowing! Tis the Season for Music!
