The Double Pupil Prince

The Double-Pupil Prince A special prince was born hundreds of years ago. (S) His palace is entirely built of gold. Everything he touches uses, and sees is made of gold. (PL) His wealth can make every woman in the kingdom fall for him, but it happens that this prince has a double pupil in one of his eyes. (CP) Every girl that sees her face shrieks and runs away. The prince is determined to find himself a wife. He hosted a ball and invited all of the princesses from various kingdoms. On the night of the ball, the prince hides his nasty doubled pupils behind a mask. Of all the girls, there is only one girl he fell for. She wears a tight-fitting dress made of gold and silver, beset with jewels. Her red gown made her stand out like a rose blooming in a patch of grassland. The prince gave her a big grin while looking at her with his double pupil. His pupils turned red suddenly and then became normal afterward.



“Madam, may I know your name?”, asked the prince politely, holding out his hand at the same time to invite the princess to a dance. “Ava,” the princess replied, “the princess from the northern kingdom.” The ball no sooner ends, than the prince took Ava to go fishing, hunting, and feasting every day and night. (PCC) As he noticed the princess is falling in love with him, he decided to expose his real appearance to her. “Ava, will you cast me aside if I’m ugly?”, asked the prince, looking into Ava’s eyes. “No I won’t, that doesn’t matter to me.”, replied Ava. With quivering hands, the prince removed his mask. Ava's eyes were filled with astonishment as she gazed at him. She tried to scream but couldn't get any sound out. She tried to flee, but the prince dragged her to the ground. “Didn’t you say you wouldn’t leave me even though I'm ugly?” cried the prince, “you’re a liar.” “M…Monster! “ The princess burst into tears and escaped from the prince's grasp. She fled and returned to the Northern kingdom the following day. The prince is completely furious now. “Women are all the same, “roared the prince. His voice filled his palace, and the soldiers standing beside him got goosebumps. He tore all the paper on his desk and threw them in the air. He threw his fists on the table, making the table break in half. He called to mind that there is a magical fox that can grant any wishes. He then demands the soldiers find the fox. “I’ve heard that you can grant any wishes for me if I want to?” asked the prince curiously, examining the fox. “Every wish comes with retribution,” replied the fox. “I want to marry princess Ava, the princess of the Northern country.” requested the prince. A satisfied smile filled his face.

“Your wish will be granted.”, replied the fox, taking out a ring from its pocket, “put this on her hand when you marry her.” A few weeks later, Ava and the prince are getting married. The prince gifted Ava with the ring at their wedding. When the ring touches Ava’s hand, it inserts poison into her body. (CX) She collapsed as the poison in the ring made her fall into an interminable sleep. The prince finally understood what the fox meant by the retributions. However, he doesn’t care that much about whether or not Ava is awake; at least she is his wife now. They have two kids, which are named Amelia and Alexander. “You can go anywhere you want except for this room with the red key.”, said the prince as he gave his children keys to every room. As the children replied “yes”, the prince went back to work and took no care of them.

The children played around the palace, visiting every room and finding themselves with nowhere to go. They decide to go on an adventure in the forbidden room. They enter the door surreptitiously with the red key and see a gorgeous woman resting on the bed. The kids entered the room and glanced about for anything interesting to play with. Amelia noticed the lovely ring on Ava's finger. She approaches and slides the ring down her finger. All of a sudden, Ava opened her eyes. The kids were scared and jumped back. Ava found out Alexander has twin pupils in his eyes, and Amelia has a homogeneous appearance as his father. “Are you guys the kids of prince Lucas?” asked Ava as she was still dizzy. The kids nodded. Ava cannot believe the prince had two kids with her when she was asleep. She told the kids her and the prince’s story. At the same time, in the palace, the king has died. Now the prince should be enthroned. The kids tell their dad they hope to help him put on his crown and the prince accepts.

On the day of the coronation, all the residents from the kingdom showed up in the king’s court. When the people cheered for the new king that took the lead of the kingdom, the kids showed up with Ava and the prince couldn't believe his eyes. (CCX) Ava wore the same dress she wore to the ball. She stood intrepidly on the stage beside Amelia and Alexander. Alexander took the microphone and told everyone the story of their mom and every sin the prince had committed. The people in the court felt furious for Ava, they shouted in stridency, “Assassinate the king!”.

The two kids light up a fire and melt the golden crown into gold. They pour it on top of the prince’s head. The melted metal streamed down from the prince’s head, then into his

mouth, onto his chest, and slowly dripped onto the ground as they cooled down. The hot and sourness of the metal in the prince’s mouth makes him want to throw up; at the same time, the metal sticks onto the prince’s skin like a piece of bubble gum, his skin turns black and the smell of scorching fills the air. The prince shrieked and rolled around on the floor, trying to take the metal off of his body. Slowly, his sound weakens, and is completely dead. The residents applaud the two kids' courage and justice. At last, Ava inherited the kingdom and remarried. She lived happily ever after.
