It is what I am doing for the next generation.\" Mr. Kapil Gupta, Manager Dear Readers Shri Kundan Lal ji was a visionary, a prodigy who sought to imbibe the principles of human intellect, strength and gentleness, pride yet humility. We, at Kundan Vidya Mandir, seek to follow into his footsteps and realise his dreams of Truth, Love and Efficiency through his Aims and Objectives which are relevant even in these days of modernization and digitalization. These Aims and Objectives are:  Habits, attitude and quality of character which will enable them to assume the responsibility of leadership in the social, political, cultural, industrial, economic and scientific fields, when they enter life.  The capacity of clear thinking, clarity in speech and in writing, and a receptivity to new ideas.  A spirit of discipline, cooperation, tolerance, self control, and courageous perseverance in the face of difficulties.  Reverence for what is noble, i.e. to teach them to be ready to self sacrifice, to strive for utmost purity and truth, to foster in them a strong sense of duty and to instill in them that consideration and respect for others which must be the foundation of selflessness, and the true basis of all good manners.  Vocational efficiency i.e. students must acquire a yearning for perfection and learn to take pride in doing everything as thoroughly as they can, so that in future years their personal productive capacity in the economic fields be maximized. KINDERGARTEN SECTION, CIVIL LINES Intra Class Solo Song Competition To highlight the talent of students, a Virtual Intra Class Solo Song Competition was held for kindergarten students on July 5, 2021. This event revamped the talent of budding singers to put forth their enthralling performance. English Poem Recitation Competition Poem recitation is a mode of expression, an outlet to emotions and the foundation of learning new vocabulary. To help children build confidence and pronunciation accuracy a Virtual English Poem Recitation Competition was organized for the students of Kindergarten Section on August 13, 2021 and brought out the best poets and poetesses forward. Intra Class Solo Dance Competition Dance is the hidden language of the soul and to promote it an Intra Class Solo Dance Competition was organized on September 29, 2021, for the students of kindergarten to bring out our best budding dancers. The competition proceeded with great zest and excitement. All the participants were very energetic and performed their dance performances enthusiastically. MIDDLE SECTION, CIVIL LINES Ad Mad Show The Ad Mad Show was conducted in the month of September by the Junior Humanities Forum for classes VI-VIII to provide a platform to explore the acting skills and the hidden talent in our students. The students made innovative and compelling advertisements on the various topics which were provided to them like adhesive glue, soft drink, and some topics related to social awareness like clean India, childhood obesity, peer pressure etc. All the participants were very creative.

SCHOOL SPECTRUM 10 PRIMARY SECTION, CIVIL LINES Story Telling Contest Story telling is a universal and traditional art form that enhances creativity and communication skills in children. A valuable and distinct story telling session was organised in July for I & II in both English and Hindi and for III –V in Hindi to improve their language skills, instill in them love for reading and stir their imagination. Virtual certificates were also provided to all the winners. Poem Recitation Competition Poetry is the core of literature. To spread the fragrance of poetry amongst the students of Primary Section, an Intra Class Poem Recitation Competition in English was organised for classes I & II and in Hindi for classes III to V in the month of July. Our cute poets enjoyed the beauty of expression, thought and feeling. The main purpose behind conducting such competitions is to build self confidence, develop the oratory skills and self expression. Solo Dance Competition Keeping the value of dance in mind, our school organized a solo dance competition for classes III to V in July and I & II in September. It was a fun activity for children. They took part in the competition with full zeal and enthusiasm and dressed themselves according to the song. Virtual certificates were also given to all the winners. Mask Making Contest In these days of pandemic mask has become an important part of our life. So, to make kids more aware about the importance of masks Primary Section organized a mask making contest for the students of Primary Section. Children were asked to design an elegant mask of paper. Kundanites prepared many beautiful and creative masks.

SCHOOL SPECTRUM 12 CITY CAMPUS Intra Class Mask Designing Contest Masks are not just the need but a fad of the modern world. Intra Class Mask Designing Contest was organised in September for the students of classes III-V, to give them a chance to design the mask of their choice matching with their school uniform. The expression of creativity by the young artists was praiseworthy. HIGHER SECTION, CIVIL LINES Inter Class Mock Youth Parliament 2021 Inter Class Mock Youth Parliament 2021 was held for classes XI & XII on August 7, 2021 and IX & X on August 23, 2021. The students participated enthusiastically and represented various Parliamentarians. The coherence of the delegates made our students more cognizant of the flaws and measures to be taken so as to improve the healthy functioning of the democracy and nurtured their debating skills. Poem Recitation: Inter-House Hindi and English Poem Recitation Competition on patriotism was held on September 1 and 2, 2021. The children recited poems on the greatness of this nation we proudly call ‘Our Motherland.’ The competition was filled with zeal and enthusiasm and the beautiful poems made the atmosphere patriotic. Career Counselling: The students of class 10th were given career counselling to help them decide a plan for their future. In it experts came to assess their aptitude, personality, interests and other aspects, the assessments they made would help in guidance for the students for the best possible career for them.

CRUSADE OF TRUTH, LOVE AND EFFICIENCY 13 Our Alumni as the Crusaders of rich moral values are spreading the fragrance of TRUTH, LOVE & EFFICIENCY all over the world. THE ROCK FOUNDATION: An initiative by our Alumni The ROCK FOUNDATION works on the motto ‘Open Wide Your Hands to Needy and Poor. You can change someone’s life’. This noble foundation and its works are being carried forward by our very own Alumni. Their generosity and willingness to work for the needy and poor people of the society reflect the strong ethical values that KUNDAN VIDYA MANDIR imparted in them long back. The Rock Foundation is a non-profit organization started by alumni of Kundan Vidya Mandir in 2014 with a team of sixteen members. Now it has more than 160 members. They support the poor patients in various hospitals by helping pay for their treatment, medicine and organizing free medical camps. Manan Jain, a sparkling KUNDAN, is another glowing jewel in the cap of Kundan Vidya Mandir. An alumnus of this great temple of learning, Manan is doing great work by upholding the ethos of a Kundanite. Currently studying abroad, he sponsors the education of some needy students of his Alma Mater by sending almost 10 hours of his working wages every month. His actions based on values he imbibed while in school are lighting bright the dark lives of many. \"In ordinary life we hardly realize that we receive a great deal more than we give, and it is only with gratitude that life becomes rich.\"

CITY NEEDS AND KUNDANITES’ DEEDS 14 ‘Little hands to be empowered, to provide, for the community.’ KUNDANITES KI NARMADA It is an umbrella project, spreading its love and care throughout the city with little but extremely precious acts of kindness. Kundanites partner with City Needs: An initiative steered by the Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana, Mr. Varinder Kumar Sharma, who alongwith various visionary volunteers and NGO’s, has pledged to make a difference in the lives of local under-privileged communities.  During Rakshabandhan a special stall was set up in the school campus for the sale of rakhis and the proceeds from it were donated to the deserving through the City Needs platform.  Book collection and distribution drive was organised as it is believed that education has the power not just to illuminate the mind but also to spread joy.  Kundanites share the joy and exuberance of Diwali with the less fortunate ones. All the students were involved in preparing handmade bandhanvaar, paper candles, diyas, greeting cards, paper frills, decoration lights, wall hangings, diyas, candles and sweets to be distributed to the less privileged ones. NATION FIRST….. 15 JOIN INDIAN ARMED FORCES  What are Indian Armed Forces? The Indian Armed Forces are the Military Forces of the Republic of India.
