No road is long with good company, so our journey should be with our  Flyers resurrected Lord .  Announcements We salute all our Mothers this month! The opening sentence in Amoris Laetitia (Pope Francis’ apostolic exhortation on the family), offers the perfect context for Mother’s Day: “The joy of love experienced by families is also the joy of the Church.” We are truly happy to celebrate the vocation to motherhood as we honor all Mothers in this Church this month . The Pope beautifully describes the impact Mothers have on children: “A mother who watches over her child with tenderness and compassion helps him or her to grow in confidence and to experience that the world is a good and welcoming place. This helps the child to grow in self-esteem and, in turn, to develop a capacity for intimacy and empathy.” Yes, motherhood is a vocation, a divine call, and not a hobby. You do not collect children like stamps or art works, but it is the divine call by which you become co-creators and sustainers of life with God. Children are a gift from God (Psalm 127:3-5) and the Bible is very clear about the responsibility of both father and mother in bringing up children with right values. The Bible demands several things from Christian parents in their duty of parenting. Some of these are: A) Availability – morning, noon, and night (Deuteronomy 6:6-7). B) Involvement – interacting, discussing, thinking, and processing life together (Ephesians 6:4) C) Teaching – the Scriptures and a biblical worldview (Psalm 78:5-6; Deuteronomy 4:10; Ephesians 6:4) D) Training – helping a child to develop skills and discover his/her strengths (Proverbs 22:6) and spiritual gifts (Romans 12:3-8 and 1 Corinthians 12) E) Discipline – teaching the fear of the Lord, drawing the line consistently, lovingly, firmly (Ephesians 6:4 ) F) Nurture – providing an environment of constant verbal support, freedom to fail, acceptance, affection, unconditional love (Titus 2:4; 2 Timothy 1:7) G) Modeling with Integrity – living what you say, being a model from which a child can learn by “catching” the essence of godly living (Deuteronomy 4:9,) That is a tall order! What makes it all the more difficult is the hostile cultural environment in which Christian mothers find themselves fighting to protect their children. Many of the cultural values clash with the Christian values that a mother wants to instill in her children. Hence we need to support, help, appreciate and encourage all our mothers – not just once a year, but every- day! Thank you dear Mothers! Happy Mother’s Day! Your Brother in Christ, Fr. Motherhood As Mother's day approaches, we reflect on the dignity and importance of a mother's role in the family. The Venerable Archbishop Fulton Sheen has said, “Motherhood then becomes a kind of priesthood. She brings God to man by preparing the flesh in which the soul will be implanted; she brings man to God in offering the child back again to the Creator….she is nature’s constant challenge to death, the bearer of cosmic plentitude, the herald of eternal realities, God’s great cooperator.” Motherhood is a very high calling. What relationship can ever replace the love of a mother? It is essential for women to realize that the love, guidance and influence they provide to their children are distinct and invaluable. All mothers who wish to be true to their high calling need only look to the woman who became the greatest mother of all. Born into humble surroundings, she was called by God to contain in her womb what the whole universe could not contain, the Son of God. Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ, our Blessed Mother, is the true model of motherhood. \"It can thus be said that women, by looking to Mary, find in her the secret of living their femininity with dignity and of achieving their own true advancement. In the light of Mary, the Church sees in the face of women the reflection of a beauty which mirrors the loftiest sentiments of which the human heart is capable: the self-offering totality of love; the strength that is capable of bearing the greatest sorrows; limitless fidelity and tireless devotion to work; the ability to combine penetrating intuition with words of support and encouragement\" (Blessed John Paul II, Redemptoris Mater). One aspect of Mary's life that has particular meaning and inspiration for many mothers today is the profound suffering that she endured during the passion of Our Lord. Mary stood at the foot of the cross. All mothers need to find in Mary, our Blessed Mother, the faith, hope, love and fortitude to stand firm at the foot of the cross. All suffering has power when we unite our suffering to the cross of Jesus. It is with great hope that all women can turn to Our Lady in their suffering and hear her say, “Do not be troubled or weighed down with grief. Do not fear any illness or vexation, anxiety or pain. Am I not here who am your Mother? Are you not under my shadow and protection? Am I not your fountain of life? Are you not in the folds of my mantle? In the crossing of my arms? Is there anything else you need?” (Our Lady of Guadalupe to St. Juan Diego). Let us keep our dear mothers in prayer and entrust them to the tender Immaculate Heart of Mother Mary. Our Parishioners on \"Mom\" When I hear the word mom, I think of one of the protectors we have growing up. Someone who is there to teach us life lessons and to love us unconditionally. When I think of my mother I think of how selfless she is and how she puts the needs of other before her own.  Minnu Kattapuram When I hear the word “mother” I think of sacrifice and prayer. Our mothers have seen us from birth to where we are now. No person’s love is as great as a mother’s love to their child. Thanks to all mothers for their continued love and efforts. Mathew Levi Kaipuram When I think of the word “Mom” I think of sacrifice. Without moms, we wouldn’t have half the things we have today. It is their love and dedication for us that gives us the strength to continue on. We can only pray that one day we can repay them for what they have done for us.  Aneena Vaipel When I hear the word “Mom,” I think of a loving and caring person. Moms are always the hero, putting their kids before themselves and working day and night to make sure that they are safe. (310) 709 5111 [email protected] www.knanayaregion.us Circular: 01/2022 April 18, 2022 ബഹുമാനപ്പെട്ട അച്ചാ, പ്രിയ ദൈവജനമേ, മാനവരാശിക്ക് സന്തോഷവും സമാധാനവും പ്രത്യാശയും കരഗതമാക്കിയ ഉത്ഥാനത്തിൻ്റെ വലിയ തിരുനാൾ, പുതിയ പ്രതീക്ഷകളും പുനർ ചൈതന്യവും പ്രദാനം ചെയ്യട്ടെയെന്ന് ആശംസിക്കുന്നു. തലമുറകളിലൂടെ കൈമാറി കിട്ടിയ ക്രൈസ്തവ വിശ്വാസമെന്ന നിധി, ക്രിസ്തുവിൻ്റെ ഉത്ഥാന ചൈതന്യത്തിൽ പുനരാവിഷക് രിച്ച,് സുവിശേഷ സാക്ഷികളാകാനുള്ള പ്രേക്ഷിതദൗത്യം ഇന്ന് നമ്മിൽ നിക്ഷിപ്തമാണ.് അതോടൊപ്പം കൂടുതൽ സ്നേഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരിൽ നിന്നും അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരിൽ നിന്നും കൂടുതൽ ദൗത്യനിർവഹണങ്ങളും പ്രേക്ഷിത ശുശ്രൂഷകളും ദൈവം പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നുവെന്നത് നാം ഗൗരവമായി പരിഗണിക്കണം. ചെറിയ അജഗണമായ കന് ാനായ സമൂഹത്തെ അനേകരിലൂടെ അനുഗ്രഹമാക്കിയതു കൊണ്ടാണ് നാം ഇന്നായിരിക്കുന്ന അവസ്ഥയിലേക്ക് ഉയർത്തപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നത്. നമ്മുടെ സമൂഹത്തെ നൂറ്റാണ്ടുകളിലൂടെ സ്വവംശ വിവാഹ നിഷ്ഠയിലും സഭാത്മക ചൈതന്യത്തിലും വിശ്വാസ പാരമ്പര്യങ്ങളിലും പരിപാലിച്ചു സംരക്ഷിച്ച സർവ്വശക്തനായ ദൈവത്തിന് നമുക്ക് കൃതജ്ഞത അർപ്പിക്കാം. ആദ്യം ദൈവത്തിൻ്റെ രാജ്യവും അവിടുത്തെ നീതിയും അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് ദൈവം എല്ലാം സാധ്യമാക്കിത്തരും (മത്തായി 6:33) എന്നരുൾ ചെയത് ദൈവം, കന് ാനായ ജനത്തിൻ്റെ സർവ്വതോത്മകമായ വളർച്ചയക് ്ക് ആവശ്യമായതെല്ലാം നിശ്ചിതസമയത്ത് സജ്ജമാക്കിത്തരുമെന്നുള്ളത് സുനിശ്ചിതമാണ.് തങ്ങളുടെ ജീവിതത്തിൽ ദൈവത്തിന് ഒന്നാം സ്ഥാനം നൽകി, അവിടുത്തേക്ക് നിരക്കാത്തതൊന്നും ജീവിതത്തിൻ്റെ ഭാഗമാക്കാതെ കടന്നുപോയ തലമുറകളാണ് സഭയെയും സമുദായത്തെയും വളർത്തി വലുതാക്കിയത.് അവർ നമ്മിലേക്ക് കൈമാറി തന്ന അചഞ്ചലമായ വിശ്വാസവും സഭാസ്നേഹവും സാമുദായിക കൂട്ടായ്മയും തലമുറകളിലേക്ക് കലർപ്പില്ലാതെ കൈമാറണമെന്നാണ് ദൈവം ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നത.്

അമേരിക്കയിലെ ഉയർന്ന ജീവിത സാഹചര്യങ്ങളുടെ മധ്യത്തിലേക്ക് നമ്മെ നയിച്ച ദൈവം, കൃതജ്ഞതാ നിർഭരമായ വിശ്വാസജീവിതവും ആത്മരക്ഷയക് ്ക് യോജിച്ച പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളുമാണ് നമ്മിൽ നിന്ന് പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നത.് നമ്മുടെ നിത്യരക്ഷക്ക‌് ഉതകാത്ത യാതൊന്നും നമ്മുടെ ജീവിതത്തെ സ്വാധീനിക്കാതെ വേണം സാമൂഹിക സാമുദായിക മേഖലകളിൽ നാം പ്രവർത്തിക്കുവാൻ. അതുകൊണ്ടുതന്നെ ദൈവത്തിന് നിരക്കാത്തതൊന്നും നമ്മുടെ ക്രിസത് ീയ കുടുംബങ്ങളിലും സഭാ സാമുദായിക പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളിലും കടന്നു കയറാതെ നാം സൂക്ഷിക്കണം. ദൈവത്തിൻ്റെ ശക്തമായ കരത്തിൻ കീഴിൽ താഴ്മയോടെ നിൽക്കുവിൻ, അവിടുന്ന് തക്കസമയത്ത് നിങ്ങളെ ഉയർത്തി കൊള്ളും. നിങ്ങളുടെ ഉൽക്കണഠ് കളെല്ലാം അവിടുത്തെ ഏൽപ്പിക്കുക. അവിടുന്ന് നിങ്ങളുടെ കാര്യത്തിൽ ശ്രദ്ധാലുവാണെന്ന‌് (1 പത്രോസ് 5:6) വിശുദ്ധ പത്രോസ് ശ്ലീഹാ നമ്മെ അനുസ്മരിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. ഒരു സഭാകൂട്ടായ്മ എന്ന നിലയിൽ നമ്മുടെ അജപാലന പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾ ദൈവനിയോഗ പ്രകാരം സജീവമാക്കുന്നതിനും തിന്മയുടെ സ്വാധീനത്തിൽ നിന്ന് നമ്മുടെ കുടുംബങ്ങളും തലമുറയും സംരക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതിനും, സ്വന്തമായ ഒരു രൂപതാ സംവിധാനമുള്ള ഒരു സഭാഘടകമായി കന് ാനായ സമൂഹം വളരുന്നതിനും നമുക്ക് ഒന്നുചേർന്ന് പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കാം. അപേക്ഷിച്ചാൽ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കാത്ത ദൈവം കൂടുതൽ അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങളിലൂടെ നമ്മെ നയിക്കാതിരിക്കില്ല. അമേരിക്കയിലെ കന് ാനായ ജനത്തിൻ്റെ കൂട്ടായ്മയ്ക്കും അജപാലന ക്രമീകരണങ്ങൾക്കുമായി ക്നാനായ കത്തോലിക്ക റീജിയൻ ചിക്കാഗോ സെൻറ് തോമസ് സീറോമലബാർ രൂപതയ്ക്കുള്ളിൽ സ്ഥാപിതമായത് 2006 ഏപ്രിൽ 30-)o തിയതിയാണ.് അനുഗ്രഹത്തിൻ്റെ 16 വത്സരങ്ങൾ പൂർത്തിയാകുമ്പോൾ കൃതജ്ഞതയോടെ അനുസമ് രിക്കാൻ ഒട്ടനവധി അജപാലന മുന്നേറ്റങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടായിട്ടുണ്ട.് നോർത്ത് അമേരിക്കയിൽ ഇന്ന് 16 പള്ളികളും 8 മിഷനുകളും 5 ഫൊറോനകളും 4 കോൺവെൻറക് ളും നാലായിരത്തിലധികം മതബോധന വിദ്യാർഥികളും ഒട്ടനവധി മിനിസ്ട്രികളുമായി ഈ ചെറിയ അജഗണം അനുഗ്രഹിക്ക പ്പെട്ടുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. ഈ വളർച്ചയക് ്കു പിന്നിൽ ത്യാഗപൂർവ്വം നേതൃത്വം നൽകിയ എല്ലാവരോടും കന് ാനായ റീജിയനുള്ള കടപ്പാട് പ്രത്യേകം അനുസ്മരിക്കുകയാണ്. അമേരിക്കൻ സംസ്കാരത്തിനും നമ്മുടെ സ്വവംശീയ പാരമ്പര്യങ്ങൾക്കും ഇണങ്ങിയ രീതിയിൽ അജപാലന ശുശ്രൂഷ നിർവഹിക്കാൻ ഈ ദേശത്തു തന്നെ ജനിച്ചുവളർന്ന ക്നാനായ യുവതീയുവാക്കൾ ഉണ്ടാക്കണമെന്നത് നമ്മുടെയെല്ലാം ആഗ്രഹമാണ.് ആകയാൽ ജ്ഞാനികളും പക്വമതികളും വിശുദ്ധരുമായ കുട്ടികളെ, മാതാ പിതാക്കളും മതാധ്യാപകരും വൈദിക-സന്യാസ പരിശീലനത്തിന് പ്രേരിപ്പിക്കുകയും പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യണം. നല്ല ദൈവവിളികൾ കണ്ടെത്തുന്നതിന്‌ സഹായകരമാകുന്ന വൊക്കേഷൻ ഡിസേൺമെൻട് പ്രോഗ്രാം ഈ വരുന്ന ജൂലൈ 15 മുതൽ 17 വരെ ഷിക്കാഗോയിൽ ആൺകുട്ടികൾക്കായി ക്രമീകരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. യോഗ്യരായ കുട്ടികളെ അതിലേക്ക് പറഞ്ഞയക്കാൻ ക്രമീകരണം ചെയ്യണമെന്ന് അറിയിക്കുന്നു.

കൂടാതെ നമ്മുടെ യുവജനങ്ങൾക്ക് ഒന്നിച്ചു കൂടാനും സഭാ സാമുദായിക, കുടുംബ വിഷയങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ച് ശരിയായ പഠനങ്ങളും മാനസിക ഉല്ലാസത്തിന് സഹായകരമായ പ്രോഗ്രാമുകളും കോർത്തിണക്കി ഒരു യുവജനസംഗമം റീ-ഡിസ്കവർ 2022 എന്ന പേരിൽ ന്യൂയോർക്കിൽ വച്ച് ജൂൺ 16 മുതൽ 19 വരെ ക്രമീകരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. നമ്മുടെ യുവജനങ്ങളെ ദിശാബോധത്തോടെ നയിക്കുന്നതിനായി യൂത്ത് മിനിസ്ട്രിയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ ക്രമീകരിക്കുന്ന ഈ കോൺഫ്രൻസ്, യുവജനങ്ങൾക്ക് പ്രയോജനപ്രദമാകും എന്നതിൽ സംശയമില്ല. ക്നാനായ റീജിയൻ സ്ഥാപക ദിനമായി ഏപ്രിൽ 30 തീയതി നാം ആചരിക്കുന്നതിനാൽ മെയ് ഒന്നാം തീയതി ഞായറാഴ്ച റീജിയൻ്റെ എല്ലാ ഇടവകകളിലും മിഷനുകളിലും സഭാ സാമുദായിക ബോധവൽക്കരണങ്ങൾക്ക് ഉപയുക്തമായ കർമപരിപാടികൾ ക്രമീകരിക്കുകയും ഈ ദിനം സമുചിതമായി ആചരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യണമെന്ന് അറിയിക്കുന്നു. വൈദിക പരിശീലനം ഉൾപ്പെടെ റീജിയൻ വിവിധങ്ങളായ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾക്ക് സഹായകമാകും വിധത്തിൽ, മെയ് മാസം ഒന്നാം തീയതി ഞായറാഴ്ച, ഒരു പ്രത്യേക കളക്ഷൻ നടത്തി കിട്ടുന്ന തുക ഓഫീസിൽ എത്തിക്കണം എന്ന് താല്പര്യപ്പെടുന്നു. കന് ാനായ റീജിയൻ്റെ അജപാലന പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളുടെ വളർച്ചയക് ്കും, ധാരാളം നല്ല ദൈവവിളികൾ നമ്മുടെ കുടുംബങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് ഉണ്ടാകുവാനും എല്ലാവരും നിരന്തരം പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കണമെന്ന് അഭ്യർത്ഥിക്കുന്നു. ദൈവത്തിൻ്റെ പ്രത്യേകം തിരഞ്ഞെടു ക്കപ്പെട്ട ജനമെന്ന നിലയിൽ ഒരുമിച്ച് യാത്ര ചെയ്ത്‌ സ്വർഗ്ഗോന്മുഖമായി ചരിക്കാൻ മിശിഹായുടെയുടെ കരുണാർദ്ര സന് േഹം നമ്മോടുകൂടെയുണ്ടാകട്ടെ എന്ന് പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് സന് േഹപൂർവ്വം, റവ. ഫാ. തോമസ് മുളവനാൽ വികാരി ജനറാൾ / ക്നാനായ റീജിയൻ ഡയറക്ടർ NB: ഈ സർക്കുലർ ഏപ്രിൽ 24 ഞായറാഴ്ച പള്ളിയിൽ വായിക്കണമെന്ന് അഭ്യർത്ഥിക്കുന്നു.
