Good Life Work Camper Positions Work Camper Program Each site (couple or single person) will work enough hours to cover the cost of their site & utilities (15-30 hrs/wk per site) Note: the hours fluctuate due to the rent change during peak season. Must be able to work on your feet for up to 4hrs & lift 20 lbs. We have hundreds of events each that are only possible because of our work campers & volunteers. As a member you may have duties outside of your hired position, to ensure our residents receive the best we can offer. Access to ALL resident benefits, amenities & events: dog parks, pools/spas, fitness center, woodcarving, stain glass, dance lessons, live music, dinner shows, concerts, fitness classes, sewing, karaoke, outdoor sport complex including: Tennis, Pickle ball, Bocce ball, Shuffleboard, Corn hole, Horseshoes and more! Passes to all non-food dances. Some positions have the opportunity to start work earlier or work beyond Apr 15. (please reach out if you have questions about dates) Set-Up Crew Team of 2, Nov 1 - Apr 15 | Description: will work in teams of up to 3-4 to set-up & tear down resort events. Most shifts will be 1-4hrs and may include 2 in same day. Duties include moving/rearranging tables/chairs/furniture/equipment/etc. & cleaning facilities after events. Events Team Teams of 2, Nov 1 - Apr 15 | Description: will lead specialty events/activities to include: serving food, greeting/interacting with residents, taking & selling tickets, check rosters, coordinating event workers/ volunteers, announcements, etc. This team is designed to handle specific repetitive events & fill in elsewhere as needed. Kitchen Crew Oct 15 - Apr 15/May 5 | Description: will assist the kitchen coordinator to set-up food lines, serve food, and clean up food lines/kitchen at food events. Food events are catered off-site and the food is delivered for each event. You will work with resident volunteers who help at all of our events. Activities Aide Oct 15 - Apr 15 | Description: will provide support as needed for the Activities Office for events, activities, or office duties. Duties could include light housekeeping, events (set-up, running, tear-down), sanitizing, running/delivering, décor, office or kitchen tasks. Box Office Attendant Oct 15 - Apr 15 | Description: Have computer knowledge and good communication skills on phone and in person, sell tickets, answer questions, look up resort information, help others on our Good Life websites. Box Office Lead Oct 15 - Apr 15 | Description: Same as above, but will oversee events, reports, and setup of events in system. Court Cleaning Team of 2, Nov 1 - Apr 15 | Description: will work in teams of up to 3-4 to clean sport courts. Most shifts will be 2 - 4 hours. Duties to include Sweeping away dust & dirt, washing and facilitate drying.
Guest Services Oct 1 - May 6 l Description: You will work to check-in/check-out residents, answer phones, answer questions, take reservations and process payments in Campground. Multi-tasking, must have computer skills, and an ability to lean quickly are required. Campground experience is preferred. Welcome Center/Courtesy Patrol Oct 1 - Apr 1 l Description: You will be the face of our resort to all residents & visitors! You will welcome people, check vehicles for tags, direct arrivals & visitors, monitor incoming/outgoing traffic and assist incoming traffic needs. Housekeeping—Patio Nov 1 - Apr 15 l Description: You will primarily be responsible for keeping our patio / pool area clean. This will include checking bathrooms (spot cleaning & supplies), straighten furniture, empty garbage, remove debris, etc. In this position you will interact with residents & guests regularly and will be expected to be a positive ambassa- dor for Good Life. Housekeeping—Weekends Nov 1 - Apr 15 l Description: Same as Patio Housekeeping, but in addition you will also check all rooms for trash. In this position you will interact with residents & guests regularly and will be expected to be a positive ambassa- dor for Good Life. Landscaping Oct 15 - Apr 15 l Description: You will work to keep our landscaping neat in appearance by: trimming plants, planting/weeding flower beds, fertilizing plants, caring for planters throughout resort. Assist with landscaping & pick-up, including trash pick-up around your area of responsibility. You should enjoy working outside. Maintenance Oct 15 - Apr 15 l Description: You will need a working knowledge of general maintenance (electrical, con- struction, plumbing, painting, etc.) to assist out year around maintenance team. Duties may include ( not inclusive); emergencies, changing light bulbs, filters, assist with large / outdoor décor, read meters, spray for insects, painting, building items for the resort projects, etc. Food Service Oct 9 - May 1 l Positions Available: Line/Prep Cook, Cashier, Bar Back, Food Runner Positions at other Cal-Am Prop- erties, Catering or Raves: Commissary Cook, Restaurant Manager, Assistant Manager, Catering Cook (High Volume Kitchen), Bakery Assistant, Café Worker, and Delivery Driver.
