The VDO Cruise ship is well under way. Each week we will visit another Port of Call starting with China on February 1st. On February 10th we will cruise into France and then on the 17th, we will visit India. We end the month in Jamaica with rum and coke slushies, jerk chicken and Cool Runnings playing on the big screen at the drive-in movie on February 24. Don’t forget to get your free tickets in the Box office (no ticket needed for movie)! Love is in the air as we cruise into February. The VDO Love Boat will stop in the Ballroom on February 12th to not only celebrate Valentines Day but our couples who have been married for 50 years. Congratulations on this beautiful milestone! The Cal-am Concert Series continues with 3 shows this month. Sheena Easton will be performing 2 shows on Feb 9 at 4:00 and 7:00. The Brooks and Dunn tribute band, Neon Circus plays on Feb. 16 and Voyager, will be rocking the music of Journey on Feb. 23rd. There is also Music on the Patio, Monday through Saturday from 4-7. That’s not all though, every other Sunday beginning Feb 6, the live music continues on the Patio from 10:00am to 1:00pm because the Cactus Grill will begin serving brunch. Let’s Party! Isn’t that why Bloody Mary’s were invented? The party doesn’t stop there. Meet us every Tuesday for free coffee, donuts, and updates in the Ballroom. Doors open at 8:00am. You can also find Chef Wayne and his team every Tuesday on the patio serving weekly specialty dinners from 4:30 – 6:00. Tuesday sure is a busy day because we also have Bingo beginning at 6:30 in the Ballroom. We end the month with an amazing Mardi Gras Party and Parade. This year’s theme is Voodoo Daddy, so get your golf carts ready! The Parade will begin on February 28th at 1:00. Lunch follows with your choice of either Jambalaya or a Po’ Boy Sandwich for $9.50 and add on a shrimp cocktail for $6.00. Beer and wine are 25 cents! Special Events 2021 - 2022 7 Travel with us as we visit different ports of call CHINA - VDO will cruise into China on February 1st to celebrate the Year of the Tiger on Chinese New Year. Are you interested in learning a new game? Mah Jongg will be having lessons for the National Card League version on Monday through Wednesday at 9:00 in the El Dorado Room There will be a paper lantern craft held on the Bocce Patio at 3:00. Please get a free ticket in the Box Office. Egg rolls will be served, because you can’t have a cruise without food! FRANCE - Yacht’s of fun will be had as we sail into France for a wine and cheese soiree on Thursday, February 10th at noon. Join us on the Patio. Bring your friends or meet some new ones! Please float on over to the Box Office and grab a free ticket. INDIA - February 17th, at noon the cruise ship will sail into India for some exotic nibbles, henna art and a lesson in Bollywood Dance.
