Salon Page 8 This summer we were very busy with maintenance projects, road resurfac- ing, palm tree trimming and you will see a brand new patio stage which Sales Office Page 18 was designed and built by Darwin. Thanks Darwin, it looks amazing! We have had to clean up from lots of wind storms but the resort is looking Cal-Am Concerts Page BC clean and beautiful. A few other improvements that you may notice are the gorgeous newly refinished and repaired ballroom floor, after 40 years OFFICE HOURS we have an amazing new sound system and speakers in our ballroom and Fiesta room. Howdy Partners, It is hard to believe a year has gone by since I started here at VDO. It has been so much fun having all of the event’s last season and planning for this one. But most of all, it has been wonderful getting to know all of you! As the days pass I get to see more people returning and you all bring a smile to my face. The Activities Office has been working hard this summer planning, so get your cowboy boots dusted off, and get ready to party. At VDO this year we are going to show you how the west is fun! Our theme will be sure to have you meeting at the watering hole (Cactus Grill) for some spur jiggling or line dancing and a band (and I don’t mean of horses)! The old west crafting station will be open for business on October 20th. with a fun wood project to paint. As an ode to a favorite spaghetti western, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly is this year’s Halloween theme. Chaps, crinolines, Stetsons or what- ever tickles your fancy. We are also going off trail to Germany on October 13 for an Oktoberfest with a little Oompah music to set the mood. Yeehaw, this month is going to be fun!
