Managers’ Message Happy October! Can you believe it’s already October? Actually, many people we know will be very happy when 2020 is over. We are thrilled for cooler temperatures and seeing many of you in person again. Activities are ramping up and even with masks on and physical distancing we will enjoy catching up and hearing about each other’s summer adventures. Many of you will have new neighbors upon your return or even a new home on a previously empty lot near you. Please be sure to reach out and welcome new residents to Montesa. We want to be the friendliest most welcoming community anywhere. Our new golf cart parking area near the sports center is getting closer to being done. It includes lots of new pavers, handicap access, a new walking pathway to the knoll, irrigation for new landscaping, and lights for safe travel along walkways after dark. Paving of the cart parking area will be finished last as it will require more chipping away of granite stone. However, parking will be allowed, soon, before paving is completed. Our Montesa employee team has undergone some changes while you have been away. You will meet Steven Judy on our Maintenance Crew who has worked for Cal-Am a number of years. He brings additional skills to our team and we are thrilled to have him. Pat Hughes is back on our Courtesy Patrol so be sure to say hello when you meet him at the front booth. Two new ladies have joined our Sales Team, Tori Myers as Sales Manager and Samm (short for Samantha) McIntosh as Sales Agent. Be sure to stop by our Sales Office to welcome them, meet them at Coffee and Donuts, or if you need our Sales Team for yourself, friends, or family. They have jumped right in and have new listings and sales already. Finally, when you call Guest Services, you will meet Jackie Morici our new Guest Services Manager. She is very talented, a delight to work with, is learning quickly, and is happy to assist you in every way she can. Finally, a big shout out to our Housekeeping ladies, Judy and Sarah! Their job load has certainly increased with all of the new, COVID protocol in place. Be sure to thank and encourage them as they work to keep Montesa as clean and safe as possible.
