A WELCOME NOTE FROM YOUR MANAGERS Happy New Year and Welcome to Sundance!!! We are now in the throws of another special, different and interesting season planned just for you. Rest assured that we will be continue to have fun in 2021 although it will look a little different. We have had lots of success with our grab ‘n go lunches and dinners and will continue those throughout the season. Wednesday night Bingo, Card Bingo and Happy hours are in full swing so come on out and enjoy. Be sure to make it out for our Sunday jam sessions. They have been a hit and we have several new participants. As always, remember to watch your monthly newsletters and calendars for daily and weekly events. You won’t want to miss anything! We are sending a lot of our information out through email blasts. Please make sure that you’ve given me your email address so I can add you to our email list. It’s the perfect way to stay informed on a daily and/or weekly basis. Even when you are away from your Yuma home, you can stay in the know. The Sports Complex is open and getting lots of use. Please use the stations provided to keep the available equipment sanitized. For information on the organized sports and days they are being played, please check page 13 of the newsletter. Pitch and Putt as well as the driving cage are ready for action. We put down new turf in the cage and sloped it so the balls come right back to you after hitting. It works great! We are so happy that you have chosen to spend the season with us here at Sundance. It is our goal to make your stay as fun and safe as possible. Please social distance and remember to wear your mask in the areas where it is required. If you have any ideas or suggestions to make that goal more attainable, just let me know. Welcome Back and See You Soon! Kim Kim Maguire Activities Director Hello everyone!! We’re so glad to see you back!! We have been busy keeping our Resort safe for your return. Although you may see our activities and parties have a modified look – we’re still having fun and look forward to welcoming you back. Come on over and get away from the cold climates to spend a few months in the amazing Arizona sun. Protocols have been instituted around all “common areas” of the Resort, whether inside or outdoors and we are expecting all of our guests to work with us to keep the Resort and its amenities safe, virus free and open. Simply put, this just means that we require everyone to be wearing masks in all designated areas, using the hand sanitizing stations and practicing social distancing at all times. Saturday Movies On The Patio January 2nd ~ 6:30 pm “RV” The Munros are a typically American dysfunctional family, complete with rebellious, uncommunicative offspring and baffled parents. Patriarch Bob (Robin Williams) would like to remedy the situation before his son and daughter instant-message their parents out of their lives. Bob rents a motor home to take the clan on vacation but soon finds that camping and togetherness can be hazardous to one's health. January 30th ~ 6:30 pm “The Aviator” Martin Scorsese directs a star-studded cast led by Leonardo DiCaprio in an epic biopic about the brilliance and darkness of the eccentric Howard Hughes.
