March Movie Matinee’s 1:00 pm ~ Event Center Popcorn and Beverages provided! Thursday, March 4th Amazing Grace (2007) In 18th-century England, House of Commons member William Wilberforce (Ioan Gruffudd) and his close friend and a future prime minister, William Pitt (Benedict Cumberbatch), begin a lengthy battle to abolish Great Britain's slave trade. Though Wilberforce's legislation is soundly defeated in 1791, his growing affection for Barbara Spooner (Romola Garai) inspires him to take up the fight once more. Thursday, March 11th Failure to Launch (2006) Tripp, a 35-year-old professional layabout, is happy to stay at home where he's waited on hand and foot by his mum Sue. However, she and her husband Al have had enough and decide that to get him to leave, they have to use subtle methods. So, they hire Paula who will use her feminine wiles to lever him out of the family home. Friday, March 19th Hide and Seek (2005) Following the suicide of his wife (Amy Irving), psychologist David Callaway (Robert De Niro) decides to take his daughter, Emily (Dakota Fanning), away from New York City to a house in the country for a fresh start. Unfortunately, Emily is too grief-stricken to really appreciate her new surroundings, and she hasn't made any friends, save Charlie, who is imaginary. When Charlie begins to harbor resentment toward David, an already bad situation gets worse. Thursday, March 25th Alice in Wonderland (2010) A young girl when she first visited magical Underland, Alice Kingsleigh (Mia Wasikowska) is now a teenager with no memory of the place -- except in her dreams. Her life takes a turn for the unexpected when, at a garden party for her fiance and herself, she spots a certain white rabbit and tumbles down a hole after him. Reunited with her friends the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp), the Cheshire Cat and others, Alice learns it is her destiny to end the Red Queen's (Helena Bonham Carter) reign of terror.
